the murder and did nothing to protect chance during the gruesome attack which included having a baby wipe jammed down his throat. baby chance would be left to decompose in his crib before being buried in this wooded area in north port. for sally, this is the third grandchild she has lost. not only did berry have another baby die of natural causes, we learned berry had a third child. but no one knows where that little boy is. >> he was adopted unfortunately to complete stranger in exchange for a car and money. >> reporter: berry's month explained her daughter grew up in a loving home but chose drugs and abusive relationships overdoing what is right and feels her daughter deserves a harsher punishment. >> a mother is supposed to protect their child at all costs. that wasn't done.

to truthfully testify against her husband in the future. should she go back on that, the plea deal becomes null and void charges. now as of tonight, joseph woman shall is still awaiting a date to be set for his trial. ingles, abc action news. >> thanks, jackie. this man is accused of slicing a 12-year-old girl's stomach with a knife. charged with domestic battery and aggravated child abuse. police are saying he held the 12-year-old girl and another woman in the bathroom against their will. he ran the knife across the stomach leaving a 3-inch gash. covering manatee county tonight, we're learning that two separate murders appear to be connected. tuxford and jordan were both found dead half an hour apart.

what they have been doing. >> reporter: investigators aren't saying how finland died just yet. they believe it could be an important clue in this case. however they are giving us clues into the victim's backgrounds. tuxford has a history with the law. among the charges, possession of stolen property. finland we're told has a history with drugs. >> we're told that she did use drugs. obviously that's one thing that we're looking at as far as possible motivation here. >> reporter: we spoke with tuxford's relatives wednesday, shortly before they spoke with investigators. too shaken up to speak on camera, they tell us he was the wrong time. now, both detectives, along with families and friends, will what happened. and investigators with the sheriff's office say they will continue to reach out to witnesses and try to gather information. murders happened in broad daylight so they're pretty sure

sub freezing across the northern counties. then all of a sudden we had a lot of sunshine out there and we certainly had some frost. this is from tony in lakeland. a little frost popping up on some of the leaves out there. there as if she didn't know. she had to scrape as it was. and then down across hillsborough county, south temperatures dipped down into the low to mid 30s. some areas around the downtown spot. down to 28 degrees in brooks villas well as areas off to the today. though. then we have to track a little thunderstorms. sometime between probably 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on friday morning. not a huge deal at this point. mid 60s across the area.

you still need to have the kids ready. it won't be freezing. with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s downtown. low to mid 50s closer to the beach. and still in the mid-40s across the northern areas. so there are no freeze watches. there are no freeze warnings. and there's no expectations of freezing temperatures until saturday night. and then it happens again. outside right now, tampa to clearwater to st. pete in the low to mid-60s. there's the key. look at the winds. already coming around to the southeast. because of that, those temperatures are starting to rebound nicely. and tomorrow, i think we will be back into the 70s. so we definitely have warmer air rolling in. along with a little bit of cloud cover out there. still not going to be an issue in terms of rain tonight or tomorrow or even tomorrow night. so waking up to partly cloudy skies with temperatures still on the cool side. but most of the day will be partly sunny. then by 8:00 tomorrow night, you begin to see clouds roll in.

rain will be on friday morning. outside chance we could see an area out ahead of that front itself to given south of sarasota the chance of heavier rain. the european model keeps it way to our south. futurecast keeps it a little closer. that is something that we will have to watch. there's the front late morning, early afternoon. then it ushers in another area of cold air for the kids parade on saturday. windy and cold. highs on thursday, that's more like it, in the low to mid-70s across most of the viewing area. we could even see 75, 76 across the extreme southern counties. but then by saturday, saturday night and into sunday morning, we're right back with sub freezing temperatures, across the northern counties.

light chop out on the bay. gulf temperatures 64 degrees. there are your upcoming tides. sunrise 7:22. sunset at 6:01. here is a look at florida's most accurate 7-day forecast. 72 on thursday downtown. the morning low back in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. friday, showers and thunderstorms likely. and most of it will be in the morning. could be an issue for the morning commute. we will have to keep our eyes on that. clearing later on friday night. saturday, we will be windy and cold. highs in the upper 50s. it won't even feel that warm. it will feel likes in in the 40s with the wind. good chance of a freeze on saturday morning and monday counties. then another chance of rain by the middle of next week. action news at 5:00
