good morning. thank you for joining us on this tuesday, i'm deiah riley. >> i'm dan shaffer. breaking news in hillsborough crash, the florida highway patrol says a semi traveling the back of a disabled van stopped in the center lane of the interstate. the van immediately caught fire killing the driver. after the impact both vehicles crossed the median, stopping in the northbound lanes of 275. fhp says that van didn't have any lights on. the semi driver wasn't hurt in the crash. let's look live at the scene using our fdot cameras. again both directions of i-275 shut down between bearss and i- 75.

the stretch of i-275 reopened between 5:00 and 6:00 this morning. right now continue on fletcher or fowler. as we look at the temperatures across the area, low 50s around sebring, lake placid to frostproof. tampa 53. also in the 40s, brooksville at the moment. as we move through the day lots of sunshine and fair weather clouds. no rain in sight in our daylight hours. 73 is the high. not bad at all for this time of year. but things are going to go downhill fast as our next cold front approaches, even overnight tonight. i'll have more on that coming up in florida's most accurate 7- day forecast. 4:31. pinellas deputies say the 15 men you see behind us now wanted sex from young girls,

morning arrested after the sting the operation wearwayfairer. >> and the sheriff is expected to arrest more suspects. >> posing as minors on line, these are the 15 people who believed they were talking to someone young. >> they are preying on the kids in the community. >> operation wayfarer nabbed suspects age ranges 20 to 47 that deputies say traveled to meet a minor for sex. >> they need to go to jail and stay there for a long time. we got to get them off the street. >> reporter: 22-year-old terrell newsom was one of the suspects caught over the weekend. >> before he left he was on the phone quite a bit. i went to bed and i heard his phone ring a couple times. >> reporter: his grandparents say they had no clue who he was meeting up with. they say terrell has never been arrested for a sex crime and isn't like this. >> it's very shocking to us. >> i just think it -- he

>> we made multiple attempts to call uber for their policy on guns and drivers. at this point we he not heard back. 4:37. north carolina police locked down the winston-salem university campus after someone showed a gun there. officers say a person pulled out a gun during an argument in a student activities center. no shots fired, the suspect ran from the building. police still searching this morning. we're just six days away from the iowa caucuses. the three democratic candidates made a direct appeal to iowa voters during cnn's town hall. bernie sanders, hillary clinton and martin o'malley all took the opportunity to answer questions asked by audience members. sanders addressed his plan to raise taxes while compline discussed her vote to go to -- clinton discussed her vote to go to war in iraq which some say was a mistake. will.

chris, because a little bit of disingenuity out there, we may raise taxes but also going to eliminate private health insurance premiums for individuals and for business. >> i have a much longer history than one vote which i've said was a mistake because of the way that was done and how the bush administration handled it. but i think the american public has seen me exercising judgment in a lot of other ways and in fact when that hard primary campaign was over and i went to work for president obama and he ended up asking me to be secretary of state it was because he trusted my judgment. >> a n poll finds the democratic race is tightening up nationally. while hillary clinton continues to lead bernie sanders, her lead is now down to 14%. 52% to 38%. the gap is the smallest it's been since the field narrowed to three candidates. on the republican side the gop presidential hopefuls are getting ready to appear in iowa. to voters there during a debate thursday night.

next week's caucus. it appears either donald trump or ted cruz will win iowa, marco rubio is hoping for a better than expected performance in iowa will give him some momentum heading into new hampshire. he continued his nine day treck in iowa yesterday. back in hillsborough county the supervisor of elections is holding open houses today and tomorrow to demonstrate the new voting equipment. the first time the machines will be used is in the upcoming florida presidential primary on march 15th. let's check with shay for a look at the forecast this tuesday morning. >> things are looking pretty good this morning. if you have a round of golf or a jog or bike ride in mind it's certainly going to be more comfortable today. with temperatures starting off in the mid to upper 50s. close to the coastline. in tampa. by noon up to 69 and then we top out today at 73 degrees. a nice mix of sun and clouds and dry throughout the day but boy, do things start to change

the florida move overlaw requires to you give emergency vehicles space by moving over a lane or slowing to 20 miles under the posted speed limit. checking back in with the breaking news we've been monitoring in hillsborough county where a fiery deadly crash shut down i-275. you're looking live at the fdot camera, both directions of i- 275 are shut down between bearss and i-275. troopers say they are hoping to reopen 275 sometime between 5:00 and 6:00 this morning. we're hearing they are trying southbound lanes. we're monitoring the scene and 15 minutes. if you're headed out the door now take a look, we are warming up from start-to-finish and we're nice and clear and so conditions are looking good as we're starting off the day. we have an east-to-southeast flow this morning, it's going to shift more southerly through the day which continues to pump

continue to increase ahead of our next cold front. that will even start to give us a slight chance for a few showers along with that southerly flow after sunset tonight. the real hefty storms though, they are not going to build in, until overnight, really very early wednesday morning. we're talking around 3:00 in the morning, especially in our southern counties. we'll start to see a flow of some heavy rain and possibly some storms. there is a very marginal risk, that is why you see this area here shaded in green. the storm prediction center has severe storms. what does that mean? about a 5% risk that our area isolated tornado beginning at 3:00 a.m. tomorrow and then continuing at the day. at. at a minimum very heavy pockets of rain off and on throughout the day especially in the first part of the day on wednesday. then that will continue into thursday as that frontal
