to a fifth county as the emergency grow 50s cross florida. here are the four original counties, western panhandle, santa rosa, south west florida. miami-dade, and of course right here in hillsboro county. now a new case of the mosquito- born illness was confirmed in broward county. it brings their total up to six cases in south florida. here we have a total of three cases reported. there are 12 cases reported across the sunshine stay overall. governor scott says all of those people inif he canned traveled to other countries. what -- traveled -- infected traveled to infected countries. they're preparing for the zika virus like they prepare for a hurricane. the main thing he wants people to know is that we are safe.

more kits to test for the zika antibodys to help determine if any recent traveler has the virus. right now the state of florida has about 500 kits. the governor is ordering the health department to buy 4,000 to also test for active zika cases. the surgeon general say it is key to controlling that virus is fighting mosquitoes. we want to stay ahead of the zika virus and that means we have to eliminate mosquitoes. we have done it before. i belief we are going to do it again. >> it is intended. florida senator bill nelson is calling on president obama to avicinity a zika cesar. that would manage the federal government's response to the virus. >> we will check in now on the weather. it is cooler now. >> that will hopefully help to end this situation for sure. you can see the temperatures are dramatically cooler this morning than they were yesterday at this time.

tampa right now, we have warmed up to the north in citrus county. we are now in the low to mid 40s. 44 right now but the temperature tell us are only topping out in upper 50s in citrus county and near 6 in tampa. so, we are at least off to a dry start to the day. no rain expected today but the winds are certainly a factor in our comfort as well this morning and the question is whether or not you are traveling over the bridges whether they would impact that drive as well. so what's going on out there right. >> reporter: still a little windy wouldn't hurt to use both hands on the wheel but the commute thinning out nicely. look at i-4. the cars are coming rats you nicely right there. they're heading toward downtown tampa. a smooth ride, 21 minutes from county line road to downtown tampa. the only crash is in sarasota southbound, i-75 just after university parkway, but great news here all the traffic indicators in green must be off
