live from the station taking action for you, this is abc action news. >> the ultimate shutdown in football. the records this year's super bowl is cashing in. >> then some protestors at the florida state fair leaving in handcuffs. deputies say what they did wrong all comes down to location. thanks for joining us. i'm sarina fazan. >> and i'm john sabol. but first, a developing story out of pasco county. they're searching for a fugitive wanted for the attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. >> reporter: now the details you need to know about the suspect and how this all unfold

>> reporter: pasco county deputies say they were outside this parking lot of domino's pizza last night when they were trying to arrest a man with outstanding warrants. that man, j'rokton williams, was outside his car here at hudson when they attempted to arrest him. deputies say williams put his car in reverse and accelerated toward one of those deputies, then sped off. he was driving a car similar to the one you see here, a 2008 infinity g37 two-door, a purple camille job color, unusual, -- ca -- a purple color, unusual. they're offering up to a $3,000 cash reward for information leading to williams' arrest. and in addition to those outstanding warrants, he'll be facing charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. and this man does have a lengthy criminal history, including several past charges for attempting to flee and allude the police.

report that to police station immediately. reporting live from pasco county. >> thank you, cara. super bowl 50 in the books between the denver broncos and the carolina panthers. >> the carolina panthers, the favorite to win it. but with the broncos defense, couldn't do that. now the celebrations just getting under way. police in riot gear just in things are out of control. they never looked back. i said, dominated by the broncos defense. they sacked cam newton seven turnovers. cam newton didn't throw a interception. but it didn't matter because could have been peyton manning's final game. was it his final game?

security hers for the game were at an all-time high. dozens of law enforcement agencies have been guarding the san francisco area. the level of surveillance video never been -- surveillance never before seen at the game. they even monitored the air space. and super bowl 50 could be the most expensive sporting event in u.s. history. seat geek reports the average ticket price is just shy of $5,000. that's far more expensive than last year's super bowl 49 which set an nfl record. >> and for some the best part of the super bowl, of course, are those commercials. and this year brings an end to one tradition. dorito's had its last ad contest. here's the winner. it's a clip called ultrasound and shows a baby on the monitor reaching for the chips. we saw star spottings from lian

the ads broke $5 billion this year. good evening, everybody. it was a great night to watch football inside as the temperatures dropped and the skies cleared out. right now, clear skies across tampa bay as that area of low pressure has moved well off to the north of us. and what we're seeing right now are temperatures right around, well, 50 degrees. 49 in tampa. and apollo beach. brooksville right now with 38 degrees as we work toward the morning hours, well, we're going to be clear overnight and blustery by. by 8:00, 47 degrees. and 67 by noontime. don't expect a big warmup. i'll show you why the layers are going to be in order for the kids as you head them out to the bus stop in the forecast in less than 15 minutes.

a group of protestors now facing charges after being hauled off in handcuffs at the florida state fair. that group, many of them affiliated with the black lives matter movement blocked the entrance to the fairgrounds. the protestors say they wanted to bring attention to the death of andrew joseph, iii, a teenager hit and killed two years ago. while the demonstrators were mostly peaceful, they arrested some who were trespassing and had chained themselves together, refusing to leave. they say that became a safety concern, even stopping guests from trying to get in. >> uh, it was clearly their intent -- i asked them. i appealed to their sense of right and gave them one last chance to leaf. and they indicated that they -- leave. and they indicated that they absolutely were going to be arrested and there was nothing we could do to dissuade them from that. >> we're still here. we're still here! people are still getting arrested. people are still dying in police custody. people are still dying unarmed. >> we're not going away.

until we get justice! >> after they were arrested, the fairgrounds were cleared and guests could enter again. they do, by the way, have a designated spot for protestors nearby. this family locked up for their trip only to return to new port richey to a complete disaster. jake peterson is taking action by showing you how to protect yourself from becoming a victim. >> reporter: this house on ford street is still alicia medling's home, but it's not as sweet anymore. >> i had to hold myself up to keep from shaking after seeing how bad it was. >> reporter: she only returned to find her stuff stolen and her house ransacked. she says squatters took over. >> everything metal from inside the house was gone. any type of valuables, clothing.

mattresses, gone. the mess, almost too much to handle. >> there's a section in the corner where it looked like people just squatting on the floor and peeing and ing. >> reporter: she says the transients made themselves at home, even introducing themselves to a neighbor. >> they had told them that they were living there now and we weren't here anymore. >> reporter: they arrested this woman, eugena strepapolis, but they believe others were involved. >> we were afraid of being stabbed. crack pipes broken. rebuild. pieces. don't think just because you leave your house and lock your doors you'll come back a couple months later and expect things to be the way they were. >> reporter: reporting in pasco county, jake peterson, abc action news. >> sad news out of polk county tonight. three children dead and

for their lives after a horrific crash there. and now deputies want to know if weather was a role. there was debris along cypress parkway. just before 9:00 last night, one of the cars began to fishtail near laurel avenue, hitting another car. a 6-year-old in the first car died. and a 6-year-old and 8-year-old were killed in the other car. three other children and four adults are now hospitalized. deputies say it's possible that wet roads were a factor in this crash. several good samaritans, though, stopped by to try to help the victims. also in polk county, a teacher faces a dui charge after deputies say he drove his car into a mailbox. detectives say anthony crashed last night. he's a math teacher at bartow high school. he's free on bond tonight. developing tonight, wear still waiting to hear of the man killed during a stabbing in

they arrested donny mathis for the death yesterday. he first pushed the woman on nebraska avenue friday night, then got into a fight with a man she was with, stabbing him with a knife. a witness tells us detectives tried to wash the blood off the knife. mathis is now facing second degree murder. and now to democracy 2016. it was a super bowl sunday on the campaign trail. >> that meant cashing in on last night's debate or making up for lost ground. and for marco rubio, he finds himself in defense mode. marcy gonzalez explains. >> reporter: a tamer on the trail -- >> 100 miles to eat breakfast with you. >> wow! >> reporter: -- following a fiery night on the gop stage. >> let me talk -- >> quiet. >> -- a lot of times -- >> reporter: donald trump moving up even more in the polls today, standing by some of his most controversial

. the search is on for three suspects after another shooting breaks out at a florida night club. this one happenings in orlando this morning. two people were dead and nine injured on universal boulevard. about 300 people were inside, officers say most the wounded were just innocent bystanders. meanwhile in tampa, a reward is now offered to track down those responsible for a very similar shooting a night club here. 21-year-old marvin lancaster, iii, was killed and several others hospitals. -- -- others hospitalized. it happened at club rayne. they're offering $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest. latest tonight, the world is now condemning north korea for launching a rocket this weekend. >> reporter: the minister met to discuss his country's response to the lunch.

calling the launch a threat to international peace. north korea claims the launch is just a satellite and is for scientific purposes. but the rocket is widely missile test. a tragedy out of canada tonight. several teenagers dead. the flag flies at half staff for those teenagers. police say it appears they died during a prank gone wrong. saying the group of eight boys snuck onto property and rode down the track. they hit a concrete gate separating the track. neighbors now wonder if the track was properly secured, saying the gate is often left open. a historic church burned down last year is making a comeback. members gathering this morning for a special ceremony one year after that devastating fire.

mother indicated from the old location to the -- motorcade from the old location to the new one. and right now underway, an event to take you back in time to the 16th century. this marks the first weekend for the 38th annual bayard renaissance festival. more than 100 -- bay area renaissance festival. more than 100 people came together to set the scene of a historic village. they performed live performances and other entertainment. the event continues every weekend through march 20th. the broncos and the panthers were not the only ones taking to the field. so did kittens and puppies! the animals recruited from animal shelters across the country, including right here in the sunshine state. some of the dogs coming from florida little dog rescue in central florida and animal aid, ink. it's all to -- aid,

especially as you head out tomorrow morning. this is not just a one or two layer event. three layers for the kids out the doors tomorrow. because while we are clearing out, we're definitely chilling down. and the temperatures are going to feel like they're in the 30s by the time you wake up tomorrow. now, that area of low pressure that brought the rain through central florida yesterday has moved well off the carolina coast. pretty much out of our area. so the skies are clearing out tonight. and that means that we don't have that layer of clouds to be a blanket. so the temperatures which are right now in the upper 40s, lower 50s, will be cooling down into the, well, lower 40s and upper 30s by tomorrow. winds have calmed down a bit tonight. but i tell you what, they are going to be back in effect with abundance tomorrow. 38 right now in tallahassee. 39 in gainesville. 61 in key west. they haven't gotten chilly theriest. 49 in tampa. 47 in orlando.

chilly. and it's as chilly as it is in new york or st. louis. minneapolis is cooler, 18 degrees. 34 in billings right now. 34 in seattle. wasn't it a beautiful day out there in san francisco as they played the super bowl? now, tomorrow we'll be looking for some rain moving up through, uh, the central south. some snow off into the northeast. and very clear weather out to the west as high pressure kind of settles in across this part of the world. we're going to have our weather calm down a little bit. but because of that west wind, we could see a shower or two pulling through. as the breezes pick up and we see the winds coming out of the west, we could get some showers by tomorrow evening. and they could linger in right through tuesday morning as well. so we'll put maybe a 10 to 20% chance of those showers in as we work through the first part of your workweek.

be in the lower 60s. 63 for palm harbor and 62 in st. petersburg and clearwater. tampa will hit 64 degrees. you could see lower 60s. about 62 in hernado. -- hernando. 66 for bartow and arcadia. lake placa may get 67 degrees. in the tampa area, our most active day planner shows we'll top out at about 65 degrees. and it's going to be just kind of messy out on the water. 56 degrees is your gulf water temperature. there is going to be a gale warning out tomorrow afternoon as winds come out about 20, 25 knots. rough seas. low tide at 8:18 in the morning. here's a look at your seven-day forecast showing a slim chance of showers for the beginning part of the workweek. and then a gradual warming trend. trying to get back to what our near normal temperatures are.

you couldn't ask for a better way to end your career than to win a super bowl. that was in store for peyton manning if this was the end to his career. not many thought the broncos would upset the carolina panthers. but anything can happen on any given sunday, especially on the super bowl. we all knew the matchup, peyton manning versus cam newton.

1 defense plays a no. 2 defense in the super bowl, they win 9 out of 11 times. we'll see if the trend continues. tampa native caldwell gets to the action early. the catch set up a broncos field goal. the only catch -- his only catch of the game. denver shows why the no. 1 defense is the best. miller sacks cam newton. 10-nothing, denver. panthers had 2 turnovers in the 1st half. carolina comes back. jonathan stewart take it is lead and reaches for the touchdown. 10-7, broncos. 13-7, carolina. 35 yards out, bam, another panther miscue. 4th quarter, denver would add to make it 16-7. and ely causes a fumble. panthers recover. that would set up another grand try.
