cars we have fog lights now and those work as they point down as opposed to the high beams which would kind of blind the driver. don't be that person that blinds the folks coming in the opposite direction. there you see in pockets of dense fog we continue to see. this is the visibility now. lakeland nothing. quarter mile bartow. 1/8 in arcadia and we continue to see pockets. look at st. pete at 10. you move up pinellas and visibility. this is going to continue to be a issue. i think the visibility will continue to go down before things improve as we head into the morning. the reason is temperatures are still cooling so areas that may not necessarily have the dense fog now will eventually. 52 tampa. 57 st. pete. look at the commuter forecast, certainly foggy this morning. by lunchtime we're at 69 and then 71 by the time we get into the commute. so foggy start, my computers are actually feeding information to the traffic computer.

have overlays exactly. this is invaluable i think. you don't get this on google maps but you can plot where the fog is and where the roads are and where it's worse. >> you saw fog at i-275 and bearss but check this out. east of 75 you can barely see the road. this is what ivan was talking about. we can zoom in and tell you exactly where we're seeing the foggy conditions. in spring hill, you can even see the roads, u.s. 41, suncoast parkway. if you're traveling those roads in the next few minutes you want to use low beams. further south all along sarasota, all along the i-75 corridor and bradenton and sarasota area, even highway 74, state road 70, all those roads you definitely want to use caution. of course on i-4 we're also seeing some fog in the plant city area. let's head outside corey dierdorff is on i-275 around

starting to see the fog. downtown pretty clear. as we've been talking about all morning these patches of fog are hit and miss -- or miss. so you want to be careful, leave a little early and use low beams. back to you. breaking news in bradenton. deputies on the scene of a shooting that sent one person to the hospital. shots were fired along 5th street east in bradenton early this morning. our assignment desk is making phone calls now to find out if deputies are actively looking for the gunman. keep it here, we have a crew headed to the scene and we'll bring you live updates as soon as we get new information. a university of tampa bay football star in big trouble, busted by pinellas county deputies as part of an internet sex sting. rodney dunigan joins us live in pinellas county outside the jail this morning. this is part of a very lengthy investigation.

this guy's name is mckenzie mac crowder, 23 years old, investigators say he bonded out a few hours ago, bond set at $50,000 so he's a free man this morning. this 23-year-old football star started an on-line conversation with what he thought was a 14- year-old girl, turns out that 14-year-old girl was a detective. he didn't find that out until he showed up yesterday for sex and that is when he was arrested. investigators say this 23-year- old mckenzie crowder began on- line conversations beginning january 21st. detectives say he he made arrangements to meet with the minor tuesday in pinellas county. during the interviews doctors say he admitted to sending four photos and admitted he knew he was communicating with a 14- year-old or what he thought was a 14-year-old. if you can come back to us live we did a bit of research and checked the university of tennessee's web site.

crowder was displayed prominently here, not only was he accomplished on the football field but off it. the past two years he was an sec academic honor roll. pretty smart kid doing something that definitely wasn't so smart. investigators tell us he was arrested as a part of a major sting to attract adults trying to lure teens for sex on-line. of course we're reaching out to the university of tennessee and hope to have comments from them a bit later on as well. reporting live in pinellas county, rodney dunigan, abc action news. 5:05. we're waiting to find out if alison huffman accused of hitting and killing a tow truck driver on the howard frankland bridge monday morning is going to face any additional charges. what we do know now is that she won't be getting out of jail any time soon. huffman is charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident, investigators say just before 2:30 monday morning she hit and killed roger perez as he was helping two stranded motorists.

huffman admitted to driving the car that hit perez but she says she was too scared to stop. huffman has two prior dui convictions and was recently released from jail for petty theft. >> i know we all make mistakes, you know? but, i really hope that she -- she realizes the pain she's caused not just for the -- us, the ones that lost him, but for her own family as well. >> a judge set huffman's bond at $750,000. huffman will eventually be transferred from pinellas county to hillsborough county where she could face additional charges. meanwhile perez' family has a gofundme page to help cover his funeral expenses. we have a link at abcactionnews.com. time 5:06. today this cape coral man charged with trying to extort nude photos from young girls will head to a polk county courtroom. 25-year-old lucas bales was booked yesterday morning on 21 charges.

young girl through the app "kik" saying he would post her address on-line, set her house on fire and tell people to rape her if she didn't give him nude pictures and videos. deputies say he met at least one other bay area girl through that app as well. in polk county, a seven- year manhunt comes to an end. deputies say they have diego guzman in custody now. they claim he got a 12-year-old girl pregnant and fled to mexico to avoid arrest. he recently slipped up though and got back on authorities' radar after applying for a u.s. visa. when he did deputies arrested him as he crossed the border into the united states. arrested for playing doctor. an 18-year-old west palm beach man facing serious charges for practicing medicine without a license. the florida department of health started investigating malai could love robinson after getting a complaint. yesterday a teen was busted in an undercover investigation. the teen. this want quabe doctor offered

good morning. expect foggy conditions as you hit the road this morning in spots. this is i-275 just north of bearss. look how dense it is. we've been tracking this fog. coming up i'll show you exactly where it is and what you need to do to drive through it. 5:14. californians should get a little relief today from this been seeing. hit 90 degrees yesterday breaking the old record of 88 set back in 1977. daily records were tied or other cities. but all that heat is expected today. all that water you see there, keep looking.

that's raw sewage water flooding a fort lauderdale neighborhood. you can see there's several blocks there all covered after a sewer main break. it broke near an apartment complex and flooded parked cars. people are told to avoid swimming at beaches near this area and avoid any other water activities until that sewer line is fixed. i don't know what is worse, that sewage or driving through this. yeah, you would probably freak out like this driver did realizing he's on a collision course with a twister in pompano beach. unleashing a torrent of swear words and drives through it. you can see the debris around his car. it's confirmed, two tornadoes touched down in south florida yesterday morning. of course in the bay area we saw a lot of rain and storms. abc action news livestream continuous weather updates on facebook for anyone who woke up and wanted to check in on the forecast. tampa bay first responders also want to keep you safe. they will help hundreds be prepared with weather radios. they will be provided to managers and homeowners

technology here. this morning, the rain yesterday morning and humidity left over and cooler temperatures. we have quarter mile visibility in cases. you can't see in front of you. this is constantly changing. i would rather have widespread fog and the reason for that is you walk outside and you think it's foggy and you immediately get your brain set up for that. but the issue is, is that you may be waking up in neighborhoods where the visibility is good and then you're going to be driving and you're guilty going to hit a wall of dense fog. if you don't see it outside your home that doesn't mean you're not going to be dealing with fog this morning. it's dense in some areas and we'll keep you posted throughout the morning. by the way this is going to be an issue throughout the morning commute as we continue to see futurecast visibility. it will be around 7:00 and by 9:00 of course with the sunshine, the fog will begin to lift. then a great day. right now temperatures in the low to upper 50s now. 70s are coming pack. low 70s this afternoon.

you see the green hugh hues depicting 60s for humidities. thursday and friday low to mid- 70s. a fantastic stretch of weather lasts through the weekend. next front comes in with rain on tuesday. yes, we've been talking about this fog and look how dense this fog is. this is 275 just north of bearss. you definitely want to use the low beams while driving. don't use the high beams, that actually makes things worse in you can see in the yellow this is where we're seeing fog now at the moment. if i zoom in a little you can see it mainly in the plant city area heading towards lakeland, all along i-4, state road 39. so definitely these are areas you want to be careful. i can even open up one of my cameras and show you how thick it is along i-4. take a look,

caution, slow down, leave early. a little further north we're seeing some fog along spring hill, along the suncoast parkway so if you're driving that way be careful. and also seeing fog south in the sarasota area. all along the i-75 corridor. 5:19. bombshell developments in tallahassee, might put the brakes on red light cameras in florida for good. lawmakers are pushing forward a bill that would ban the cameras starting in july of 2019. supporters of the ban say the cameras are a money grab for cities and counties and don't actually help keep people safe. the florida house will vote on that measure next. there's a warning to anyone not paying off their federal student loans. u.s. marshals are arresting people around houston for not making payments. u.s. marshals arrested paul aker last thursday for $1,500 federal student loan he got in 1987. he says seven u.s. marshals with guns surrounded his home, arrested him and took him to

street and below freezing temperatures. that woman won $200 on a scratchoff lottery ticket last weekend. not long after that she was at a stop sign and saw a homeless man asking for help. she stopped and asked him for his name and found out he had been homeless for three years. that's when she drove him to a dunkin' donuts, bought him coffee and something to eat. after finding out all the local shelters were full she got him a hotel room for the next two nights. >> at no time did i ever feel threatened by him. he was just -- he was so overwhelmed by just the generosity of a coffee he just couldn't stop crying. >> it moves to you tears. that woman also set up a gofundme page to help that man. it's already raised more than $14,000. 5:25. abc action news just arriving on scene of breaking news in bradenton. deputies investigating a shooting there that sent one person to the hospital.
