road walk -- in clearwater they are doing some road work. these are the major roads in and out of clearwater beach. again, expect some delays in there. this will affect people trying to get to the festival. they will have the tour signs posted along with police directing traffic. this weekend is the big road race so you can expect closures all weekend long. those road closures will begin at 3:00 a.m. on sunday expect some closures around davis island. other roads been closed, parts of franklin street, and florida avenue. some road work going on on the veterans overnight. you will want to use gun to avoid that. follow me for more traffic

on facebook. a father makes a traffic -- a father makes a tragic sacrifice for his family, dying minutes after saving his daughter from a burning home. he carried his daughter to safety then went back into the house to get the rest of his family. he never came back out. his wife was able to save the other two children. the daughter has severe burns on 90% of her body. a man living in the upstairs home also died. closer to home, two people accused of using cloned credit cards are in jail. police charging these two been from miami with felony fraud. officer say they had several blank gift cards that they claimed they found on the side of the road. we are learning details about the florida teenager who

how did he get that number? >> reporter: tuesday in undercover deputy came in posing as a patient and said malachi love-robinson took her blood pressure and told her to take allergy medicine. police then moved in for the arrest. >> they came running in. >> reporter: he said he could not sleep for two days and is bothered by charges against malachi love- robinson that he stole money from an 86-year old patient. >> that is bothering me. i could not think that he would do that. i really couldn't. >> reporter: for now he is clinging to a hope that his partner is telling the truth. >> i don't know if he is lying or not. if he is, the government needs to hire him. he is good if he is lying.

malachi love-robinson has run into trouble. he has been accused of practicing medicine without a license. harper lee author of "to kill a mockingbird" has died. the pulitzer prize winning writer passed away last night in alabama. her novel published in 1960 tells the story of racial injustice. it sold more than 10 million copies. harper lee recently released the sql, "go set a watchman", she was 89 years old. the better business bureau morning parents about scammers promising to help pay for college. experts say never pay for help and always research the organization. meanwhile st. petersburg college is offering a free event to guide students.

it has not been easy for her. she says the federal government hits the brakes on transportation funding. is this the worst you have seen it? >> yes, we have had quite a backlog. so, the problem keeps getting bigger. >> reporter: we are highlighting the top three construction projects. >> we think this will be more than 50% beyond full. >> reporter: number one, interstate 275. the florida department of transportation is proposing four new tollways. number 2, memorial highway. the plan is to put two express lanes here. finally, interstate 4, over to 50 torkfoz st. another plan to add express lanes. the price tag nearly 2 $.5 billion. currently none of the projects are fully funded.

in coming up with funding. >> reporter: they are looking at several ideas to pay for the projects. so far they have not been able to agree on much. on the table, a sales tax, increasing the gas tax, adding mobility fees and more tolls. david wilson is on the citizens advisory committee he takes input from the community and says there are other areas that need help beyond just downtown. >> there is a difference between what the people want and what the leaders want. >> they talk about raising taxes, i am i am fine if that will help the situation. >> reporter: do you think adding tolls will help?
