tampa liquor store overnight. police say two people came into the cut rate liquor store on north 15th street last night. police are investigating if they were trying to rob the store. they say the clerk and the people then shot at each other. one suspect was shot, died on the sidewalk outside the store. police are reviewing surveillance video to confirm what witnesses saw. right now that other suspect remains at large. also breaking in tribbity -- trinity a man is dead after side swiping a car on east lake road but it's not the crash that killed him. police say the trooper hit an suv, pulled into the median, crossed the road and yelled at the people in the suv, even throwing beer bottles at them. then started to cross the street to go back to his car, was struck and killed by another car. troopers are now -- rather not planning to file charges. this picture just into the newsroom of a tampa police citing a driver heading the wrong way on i-4. officers

street ramp to i-4 early this morning. the officer was able to stop the car before it caused an accident. the driver was cited for traveling the wrong way. st. pete police are looking for anybody that may have information after shooting at a hotel. the shooting happened at a birthday party after midnight yesterday morning outside the holiday inn express. authorities are still looking for the person who shot at two teens there. police say a group of people got into an argument during that party and somebody pulled out a gun. we are making some phone calls now. victims. we hear 19-year-old octavius brown is in critical but stable condition and 17-year-old dimitrius crawford is expected if you have information that could help in this case call the police department. in tampa, a reward reis on the table now at the hillsborough county sheriffs office for a different shooting, this one deadly.

manwell ortiz was killed outside the hooka bar when someone fired into a crowd of 50 people. three others were hurt. deputies are looking for any information that could lead them to a suspect, crime stoppers is offering $3,000 for tips that lead to an arrest. more aggravation for the valrico rams youth football team. their facility is targeted again by vandals, smashing windows, prying locks and cutting fences. abc action news reporter corey dierdorff joins us from the field with what the team thinks happened and what they want to see done. good morning, corey. >> reporter: good morning. the rams having lots of damage to their facility out here at valrico park. this is what coaches say the problem is -- look how dark it is out here. they feel that is why they keep getting targeted, in our times in the last year alone. check out this damage. we're talking a busted out window, of the concession stand

in the fence. about a month ago a welder was stolen from inside and last year a $5,000 ice machine and before that nearly a dozen cars broken into, in the parking lot. the leaders are frustrated, they think they are easy targets and easy fixes out here to help with this. better lighting from a park from hillsborough county. they say it's too dark and thieves are taking advantage of and the hillsborough county sheriff's office is investigating the vandalism and the team says maybe this last set of vandalism will help the county bring lights to the park. live in valrico, corey dierdorff, abc action news. today the case continues for the man accused of stabbing a former usf football player to death. randolph graham is accused of elquino watson and wounding another man outside of a nightclub in ybor city in city.

this morning we're checking to see if tampa international airport is taking extra steps to keep passengers safe from the zika virus. with 26 cases reported in florida we just learned orlando international airport is stepping up measures to curb the spread of the virus. airport officials are now increasing the mosquito spraying program at florida's second busiest airport and distributing educational fliers with reminders to bring insect repel atlanta and covering clothing that could prevent mosquito bites. prepackaged meals are ready for bay area students that won't have access to healthy lunch because of spring break. volunteers packaged 40,000 meals for children that may not have nutritious food at home. it's part of the school's family service day. >> at berkeley we care a lot about making a positive difference in the world and we try to create events for families. whether it's a pre-

of course janelle is watching the traffic cameras and will have a full look at the morning commute coming up. >> there's heartbreak in kalamazoo, michigan now. people singing and praying for the six killed and two injured after an uber driver wednesday on a senseless shooting rampage over the weekend. 45-year-old jason dalton is in court today to face murder charges. >> he was arrested yesterday after a massive manhunt. they say he shot eight people in three different locations at an apartment complex, a car dealership and a cracker barrel restaurant. >> worse, they say the uber driver picked up at least one passenger during the manhunt for him. the question still lingering now is why he did it in the first place targeting victims at random. dalton, again, an uber driver with no previous criminal record, according to police.

see cloud cover and showers. i think we'll be transitioning the next few days from warm and, humid conditions by tomorrow and then we turn chilly by the latter part of the week. right now, we have a few showers that will begin to develop as we head through tomorrow, coverage at 30% through the afternoon. nothing certainly strong, widespread or severe. there's the timing by tuesday afternoon. we'll start with sunshine and then we'll develop the clouds through the afternoon, a few showers as well. then this area of low pressure continues to intensify, pretty potent storm system that is going to be rolling through the -- across the southeastern u.s. widespread severe weather across this part of the southeastern u.s., then we'll have a cold front that rolls through our area on wednesday, with some strong thunderstorms. weather there. we'll have a slight risk across our northernmost counties, south of i-4 we'll continue to see a marginal risk. this is likely to be updated the next couple of days. right now looks like wednesday

for the storms as temperatures climb into the upper 70s. nice and mild still, we have a couple of days before the front gets here, then we'll begin to cool off. by thursday and into friday. second. 77 today, southwesterly winds, boating still looks good, 5 knots, except a little more cloud cover today. coastal waters still smooth. the 7-day forecast again for tomorrow, about 30% coverage with just some showers, then wednesday the actual front rolls through. that will bring showers and heavy thunderstorms through wednesday afternoon. back behind it, look at that, much cooler as temperatures only get out -- be out of the 70s but highs in the 60s with overnight lows in the 40s. let's check traffic with janelle. >> starting great on a monday morning. here's a look outside at 275, through downtown tampa. if your morning drive takes you

investigators say leo perry and his cousin's son damian hayes tortured this raccoon and posted a three-minute video to facebook. >> perry said he didn't know the attack was being recorded but claims he was just training his dogs to hunt. >> because that's how you train them. you train them that way, they don't hurt each other. you stop it. you get them where he -- gets used to that. you catch them. that's how you thrainting dogs. >> both perry and his family member how facing felony charges. perry is awaiting his first court appearance but believes he'll be found innocent. deputies took away all 10 dogs. still ahead, a camera recording as one man pulls a shark out of the ocean in palm beach. why he did it and why it was the wrong shark to mess with. a crackdown in several states about what you take with you on your next flight. the new law many are trying to make a reality affecting who you travel with.

5:23. new video, a dangerous catch and release in south florida. this fisherman just caught this shark, pulled it out of the atlantic ocean. the video going viral after he kneels down and takes pictures

that shark was released back into the water after the video ended. it looks like a young bull shark commonly found along the east coast of the sunshine state. not one you want to mess with though. the international shark attack file shows bull sharks are one of three species commonly blamed for attacks on people. when fully grown bull sharks can hit 11 feet in length and weigh up to 300 pounds. we've all seen service animals in restaurants, on buses, even on airplanes. now several states around the country are considering new laws to punish people who abuse the law and falsely pass off their pets as service animals. lawmakers are considering bills that would either establish such a program or penalize people who fraudulently claim they have service dogs. they want to weed out people trying to scam the system by giving people with disabilities the option of a state issued card that verifies their animal is in fact a service dog. 5:24. breaking news.
