downed trees and tore down power lines. winds gusting over 50 miles an hour overturned a tractor- trailer. it was in the semi-lame -- lane when it was blown. >> reporter: we apparently escaped the worst of the storms here in tampa bay but that is not the case in our south. >> reporter: this is video from the fifth floor of the county office building in port charlotte. employees recorded this video of strong winds. the national weather service is investigating two reports of tornadoes. at least seven homes damaged. that storm now gone back cooler weather is here.

-- the video showing them kicking a man not resisting. it's cases like that but have the body camera built moving forward. so far, it would require police departments and sheriff's offices to determine which officers allowed to where the cameras and when. new york lease are looking to see if a mother left her daughter alone at home. sadly, back child died in a fire. firefighters had no idea the child was in the home until the mother shut up three hours after the fire. police say the mom was already under investigation for leaving her little girl alone so that she could go to work at strip clubs.

a man with a machete vandalizing cars at a bus station. suspects got more agitated when police arrived. when officer tries using a teacher but the men charges them. fearing for their lives, the officers fire killing the suspect. this morning, the family of crispin will pay tribute to the fallen police officer paying $10,000 to the fallen officer. he got out of his cruiser to speak to three teenagers and that is when kyle williams shot him. a judge sentenced williams to prison in 2014. there are now 42 confirmed cases of zika virus here in florida and all are believed to be travel related. three who tested positive our women. >> cameron is finding many

the concern is preventing mosquitoes from breeding in standing water. strums are gone and it is significantly cooler this morning. >> that is going to be the about. if you step outside this morning, much different. the temperatures are in the mid to upper 50s and winds are gusting 25 to 30 miles an hour. that is making it feel much chillier. that will be the case throughout the day and i think i've made a, we're going to hang onto temperatures in the 60s and wind gusts will continue. on doppler radar, i am showing you this as we expand the radar. some clouds coming in off the gulf and that is going to keep skies mostly cloudy this morning. it's not going to rain on us here but enough to keep some cloud cover.
