the father worked out first and we do expect to see the mother walked out. what were they thinking? why did they tell authorities that their son had been kidnapped? he wanted to talk about his car being stolen and getting to work and set as far as the story about his son, he says he has no idea what we are talking about. they are both arrested, facing felony charges of filing false reports and misuse of 911 and all of this started wednesday when a man stole the couple's car from a home. they reported it missing and said that their son was in the missing. police found the car in the suspected car thief but no child. that is when their story began to fall apart. we did ask them why they lied. >> reporter: was your son ever missing? >> no comment.

$66,000 from that nonprofit organization. according to the manatee county sheriff's office, the former manager embezzled the money over seven years. she is going to court today for a court appearance. she would omit some adoptions and donations. >> she said she was just having some financial problems and needed some extra money. >> the sheriff's office says she is the only person in charge of the books. we reach out to the shelter for comment but we are waiting for a returning phone call. the family of crispin are playing -- are paying tribute. they are donating $10,000 to the city's fallen heroes memorial. crispin was just 25 years old while shot and killed on patrol back in december 2011. he got out of his cruiser to speak to three teenagers and that is when kyle williams shot him. williams was sentenced to life

welcome back. time is almost 5:44. and nearly 20 degrees cooler out there this morning than this time yesterday. 55 degrees right now in tampa. winds gusting over 25 miles an hour. we will track the traffic and weather together. a take down caught on camera. that man has a machete in his hands as he vandalize this. the suspect only gets more agitated when police arrived. even targets a deputy's car. one officer tries to use a taser but the man runs at them and that is when deputies opened fire, killing the suspect . prosecutors say they will ask a judge to dismiss charges against five boys when a woman recanted her accusation of being raped by the five boys.

multiple inconsistent accounts about what happened in the park as she took back the allegations that she was forced to have six. the 18-year-old woman told police she was attacked in january after drinking beer with her father in the playground. the boys say this ex-was consensual. >> dancing with the stars host, erin andrews and an investigative reporter. andrews is suing the marriott hotel chain after she was secretly recorded naked in her hotel room. her father took the stand in nashville yesterday. both steve and erin got emotional during his testimony. >> she would not eat, bathe, talk. all she could do was cry. >> michael david barrett was and is to 2 1/2 years in prison in 2010. she is asking for $75 million from the hotel who she claims
