a woman had a gun in her face and a car stolen on her way to the store. >> what was the victim doing moments before she was attacked? >> reporter: sometime after midnight, sandra hunter sprinted into a store to call police because two men had just stolen her car. >> no more late night stops from me. straight home from work. >> reporter: she sat in her car texting. >> i noticed there was a guy leaning against the building. i didn't pay no attention. >> reporter: she regrets doing that. >> i went to turn to put my phone in my purse to get out and my door flung open. >> reporter: you see sandra get up and down on the ground. >> that's when he hopped into the car and left. i immediately got up and ran in to the store. >> reporter: two men got into her car and crashed it about four hours later in st. augustine. troopers say they were going

he admits he was dining with friends, and they played the video on their phones in the restaurant. ensays he asked immediately for them to stop playing. the bartender tells a different story saying he showed his friends the video adding that they were making fun of andrews and her body. he testified monday saying the hotel should not be held responsible for giving out andrews' room number. three teachers are under investigation for alleged sex crimes. the sebring news sun is saying stacy hooks is facing nine new child porn charges. the middle schoolteacher was arrested for having sex with a 14-year-old student. also, another was reassigned to avoid being terminated. the sheriff's office confirms an unnamed avon park high schoolteacher is under investigation for child porn. a spring hill high school student is facing felony charges for shoving and

officials tell us it started when the student refused to dissect a clam in class. the student first cursed at the teacher then shoved her, knocking her safety glasses off and finally twisting back her thumb. other students rushed to the teacher's aid. parents tell us a felony charge is not enough. >> usually people that do things like that tend to graduate on to bigger and bigger things. i hope not. i hope this is a lesson to the person. >> students cursing or hitting teachers is not unheard of according to the people we spoke with. in hillsboro county, there have been 30 reports of battery on a teacher alone. a teacher was punished for complaining about standardized tests on facebook. the arbitrator ordered the school district to return wendy lowry to her classroom. she posted it on her own

home after school hours, and the punishment violates her right to free speech. shocking developments in the water crisis in flint, michigan. the new uncovered documents show the state of michigan blocked flint from switching to a better water source. they wanted to reconnect to detroit's system but the state- appointed emergency manager said no. the water wasn't treated properly and caused lead to leech into the city's water supply, exposing families to the toxic metal. thieves hit a mom and pop trucking company stealing semi trailers capable of hauling thousands of pounds worth of loads. >> the spivey family is hoping to recover those semis. they are worth nearly a half million dollars. >> reporter: randy is a family man. his son, daughter, wife, and

but the suspect was already gone. workers are feverishly preparing in alaska for the iditarod by trucking in snow to anchorage. a lack of snow forces them to bring in snow for the start of the race. 350 cubic yards is being laid out for a modified three-mile start. warm temperatures forced them to shorten the 11-mile ceremony start. now -- >> you need know for the iditarod. tremendous have to truck it in. they go 970 miles and it shame. they were headed to nome. as they do so, they encounter with snow.

abc action news on top of breaking news as we come on the air at 5:00 this thursday morning. police at west yukon street in tampa on the scene of a home invasion around 2:30 this morning. corey dierdorff is there with the latest. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. you can see cpd is still looking inside of this west yukon home. not much info so far from police. here's what they told us. this home invasion took place when two men kicked in the front door right there at west yukon street, and tied up the people inside. while inside, the crooks robbed them. police told us they took small electronic items and jewelry. police work to track them down.
