why are we seeing all these anti-trump movements now, she is super pacs? what's the point. >> those are two things. today at the very end of the debate, the candidates were asked will they all support mitt romney. remember they took that pledge -- excuse me, donald trump. and if he was the gop nominee. they took that pledge earlier and standing by it. there's all these anti-trump groups at work. why in these candidates don't want to get their hands dirty. they want to leave these anti-trump groups to these third party groups and to mitt romney who spoke on thursday, gave a scathing speech attacking donald trump saying he should not be the gop nominee. >> he that really was the elephant in the room. the republican elephant in the room. mitt romney there. he's arguing that people should vote for the other candidates. in essence kind of bringing up the idea of a brokered convention. will that work?

pistorious guilty of murdering his girlfriend reva steenkamp. the court's dismissal of that appeal clears the way for him to be sentenced next month. a white police officer in alabama is now charged for the murder for the death of a black man. lawyers for aaron smith say the charges are politically motivated but the dead man's family is calling for justice. abc's steve osunsami reports. from montgomery. >> reporter: this is the face of a young white police officer arrested in montgomery, charged with murdering a black man. 58-year-old greg gunn. police say 23-year-old aaron smith was working third shift last thursday, patrolling a black neighborhood, when he stopped mr. gunn, who was unarmed, and walking home from a card game. >> there was a slight struggle that continued for about a block or so, after which time, the officer fired and shot and killed the suspect. >> reporter: smith's lawyer says the shooting was justified, because he says gunn was beating the officer with some sort of pipe or baton. he thinks the arrest is all politics. >> we believe that these charges
