>> this student told me that he is on the honor role and administrators at the school were about to name him student of the month. but his day on campus ended without a pat on the back and smile. >> i could taste it. i could smell it. >> in this mug shot you see his eyes are still watery and red. the school resource officer pepper sprayed the 18-year-old special needs student here at richard l sanders school in pinellas park. >> they didn't give me any treatment for it. >> he means school. by there, he means jail. where officers took him in cuffs thursday following a lunchroom brawl. he and his friend are charged with disorderly conduct. he says they didn't start the brawl. they only jumped in to protect a female classmate who was being attacked by another male

>> he was beating on her. i didn't think it was right. so i started beating on him. it's wrong but i was upset. i wasn't thinking straight. she was a good friend of mine. >> reporter: he says an officer used pepper spray not once but twice to stop the brawl. >> i don't think it's right to mace somebody. maybe multiple people pulled me off but not mace. >> reporter: another 15-year- old student was arrested but tonight it's still not clear how the female student is doing. school district officials confirm all of this did happen but they won't comment. they also won't give us any of the footage picked up by four lunchroom. they're saying that they're privacy. >> covering pasco county tonight, officials are forcing 20 families living in government housing out of their the authority says they have found many of those people lied about being u.s. citizens.

happened. >> i think we have lost heart. i think we have lost soul. >> reporter: community activist romo has spent decades helping immigrants. now while many face eviction today, she worries especially for the children. >> we're talking about 60 kids that had to find a different way to go to school. so it's not -- and these are american kids. >> reporter: eviction notices went out to several people living at the cypress farms apartments. it started when homeland security discovered a tenant was here illegally after using a fraudulent social security card. >> we cannot have people participating in programs that participate in them. i mean, we can't. >> reporter: officials say an audit of the program found 20 their qualifications as citizens. they all have until today to leave. some were packing up. most are already gone.

tried really hard to find a better life for them. but it's very difficult because of immigration the way that immigration works and the processes are very, very difficult. so some people can be here 20 years and still be waiting for mercy. >> reporter: the housing authority says they will continue to audit all of the residents to look for any other cases of fraud. they also acknowledge dozens of qualified u.s. citizens may have been denied housing because people were living here illegally. eric waxler, abc action news. >> now the most accurate action weather. >> good evening, everybody. made it to another weekend. this morning started off with some rain, especially overnight across the northern counties. by the time the front moved into the metro area around sunrise, only a few showers left. temperatures quite a big difference from north to south. still low to mid 60s right now in the northern counties. upper 70s to low 80s down south. this evening, look for temperatures to cool off.

to the officer's discretion. another thing to keep in mind. carlos says it would be a step in the right direction from how it use today be. >> i had to spend a lot of money to, you know, correct this wrong. >> reporter: in tampa, i'm news. now to new developments out of los angeles. the lapd testing a knife found buried in the backyard of o.j. simpson's former home. facebook and twitter exploding the story. police are now saying that the design of the blade that they found is inconsistent with the injuries on nicole simmon and ron goldman's bodies. tmz reporting that a construction worker found the knife back in 1998 when the estate was being demolished. the worker gave the knife to an off-duty officer who kept it as a souvenir. the actual murder weapon has never been found. the timing seems to be odd. right now the first season of the american crime story focuses on the o.j.

the lakeland couple arrested on a laundry list of drug and weapons charges. a warrant was served at the home when they found a bucket safe. inside the safe, ten different types of narcotics from prescription drugs to cocaine. they found three handguns with, one that was stolen. turner told authorities that their income. six jurors and three alternates were seated today. hulk hogan is suing gawker for invasion of privacy. they published a videotape of hogan having sex with now the ex-wife of bubba the love sponge. hogan is suing for $100 million. three pennsylvania football players are behind bars for sexually assaulting a 14-year- old freshman with a broom stick. the district attorney saying

in a hazing ritual so he was assaulted. the other young members of the team were told to strip to their underwear and clean the floor. the incident happened in october of last year. the da saying that it was called no gay thursdays. >> you would have an older kid come behind a younger kid and put his genitals on top of the younger kid's head. that was okay on thursdays. >> well, the hazing was so bad on thursdays that some players avoided the locker room on that day or quit the team. the school district claims no one, including coaches, was aware of what was happening. three teens are being charged with assault. a health alert to tell you about. a mysterious bacteria linked to 18 deaths in wisconsin. 44 people have tested positive for the bacteria. the mystery here is where it came from and how they contracted it. here is how it works. this infection affects mostly

of year to enjoy outdoors. mother nature is definitely going to help out this go- around as temperatures right now primarily in the 60s north of i-4. largo actually. 63 in lutes and yet middle 70s from bartow. upper 70s down in highlands county. winds out of the northwest. you can see it's bringing in the cooler temperatures behind the front that came in this morning. bringing us rain through the northern two thirds of the viewing area. outside right now, tampa 67. st. pete, 68. skies are clear and they will stay that way for the foreseeable future. today was about right. we should be in the mid 70s. that's where we were. this morning was warmer than normal. tomorrow will be cooler than normal. it can get down to freezing this time of year. it's not going to. in fact you never say never but we're getting close to the

and the next ten days will be unseasonably warm. hard to imagine we will be looking at any significant cold snap in the second half of march. we will keep our eyes on it just in case. for the time being, everything looks good. even with the wins moving to an easterly direction tomorrow, i think all of the moisture and clouds stay on the east side. if you live in polk county or hillsborough county, if you're going to the strawberry festival, look for a mixture of clouds and sunshine tomorrow. i don't think it will be nothing but sunshine. sunday could be one of those as we get very dry air coming in as temperatures begin to warm up. in terms of rainfall, we have nothing going on at least until the end of next week. and next weekend, we are tracking the chance of another storm coming in. way too early to pinpoint it. it's a week away. but that is something if you have something planned outdoors

issue. forecast highs in the low 70s across much of the areas on saturday. upper 60s to low 70s closer to the beach. and the long-range forecast really turns up the heat by the middle of the week. we see not only mid 80s but mid to upper 80s. look how far up north the warm air goes into the mid-atlantic and the east. that's next week. 74 on saturday. 76 on sunday. up near 80 on monday. and we stay in the 80s all of next week. thanks for stopping by. chris archer's training debut this afternoon couldn't have gone better for the rays' all- star pitcher. he didn't give up a run or even a hit. archer's change-up was working out well. his only punch out of the
