dog training or animal abuse? the video that could result in criminal charges and the changes one dog trainer says she is making. good evening, everyone. >> thanks for joining us. pinellas park police just forwarding this cell phone video to the state attorney's office for possible criminal charges. it sheets training technique officers are calling excessive. >> marisela burgos just talked to the owner. she's been getting threats. >> reporter: she says she is just as horrified as many people are watching that video. she says that she met this man out of state at a dog sporting

town, and she allowed him to use her facility, but she just wanted to clear things up and say that she doesn't agree with that video. the video is less than a minute. someone next-door captured this moment of a man with his dog. >> the dog goes into some sort of roll. >> reporter: pinellas park police detectives started getting yesterday. >> even them looking at it, there was some belief that it might have been a little extreme or over the top. >> reporter: detectives talked to the man who was in town briefly. they told us he's doing training, an extremely physical and competitive dog sport. >> the part that was concerning to us was the jerking motion being made by the trainer, or hammer of the dog. >> reporter: the incident happened in the back of this business. >> that video is no

marisela burgos, abc action news. happening now, sarasota deputies on the hunt for a man would stalked a woman inside a story and took pictures up her skirt. investigators say when the victim caught him in the act and she confronted him, he ran from the store. if you know who he is, call the sarasota county sheriff's office. deputies need your help finding a suspected bank robber. deputies say this guy walked in after 8 1:30 this morning and gave the material note demanding cash. he also applied -- implied that he had a weapon. eyes across the country will be focused on the bay area monday. opening statements set to begin in the hulk hogan trial.

up getting pepper sprayed. the 18-year-old says a female student was getting assaulted during loming so he and his friend jumped in to stop it. he admits he threw punches but believes it is not necessary for school resource officers to break up a fight with pepper spray. >> i don't think it's right to mace somebody. >> officials confirm all this happened but will not comment. police in florida could soon have some new guidelines to follow when it comes to the use of body cameras. the state house passing what would require departments to develop standards for the use of those cameras and how the audio and video files would be stored. but this bill does not mandate officers use those cameras j. a new twist tonight in the fight over encrypted data, amazon announcing it has disabled encryption on its kindle fire devices.

florida lawmakers just rejecting the agreement between the tribe and the governor. that deal died after the florida house failed to consider a major gambling bill that would have allowed the tribe to had a craps and roulette at their existing casinos. the seminole tribe had promised thousands of new jobs and a $1.8 billion expansion of its casinos if that deal was approved. new information tonight surrounding the zika virus, researches now saying it may be linked to even more grave outcomes for developing babies than we first thought. the ucla study suggests zika can act on multiple fronts and says these threats can come at any stage of pregnancy. researchers, hat strengthened the link between zika and a birth defect that causes babies small heads. one of our colleagues here at abc action news getting

new information about a knife found at the site of o.j. simpson's former home. investigators now telling abc news the blade is not the murder weapon used in the killings of nicole brown simpson and ronald goldman. it was originally recovered by a construction worker at the property, possibly when the site was demolished. the attorney said they immediately called police and was told there was nothing they could do because of double jeopardy so he has held on to it. his attorney describes it as a five-inch buck knife covered with dirt. there were no obvious signs of blood on that blade. a woman who was having sex while her son drowned in a bathtub will spend time in prison.

missing last summer. after months of searching, barton's ex-boyfriend led authorities to the baby's remains. he is expected to be sentenced to 20 years in prison. a south carolina high school teacher who took nude pictures off of a teacher's cell phone and posted them on- line is facing charges. the 16-year-old is now charged with voyeurism. the teacher has said shed a nude selfie on the phone for her husband. school leaders say it was her fault for leaving stiewnts attended during a four-minute break between classes. a fiery explosion erupts after a driver crashes into a gas pump, and the whole thing caught on camera. take a look here. surveillance video shot from inside a gas station shows a driver hop over a curb and then crash interest a gas pump, causing flames to shoot up out of the ground. a sheriff's deputy saying that the 31-year-old driver likely

after the crash, the driver stayed in the car for a full 40 seconds before running away. no word on if he was hurt or is now facing any charms. more amazing video caught on camera. take a look. a little girl run over by a truck carrying cars actually crawls out unharmed. look at that. you have to see the video. a man carrying a toddler on a moped gets sideswiped by this truck. the moped getting wedged underneath there as the man runs to stop the driver, the kid just crawls out from under the truck, walking away as if nothing really happened. there he is. police say that little girl escaped with just some minor injuries. amazing. >> the videos always come out of china. >> the u.s. government is now

going on outdoors, honestly the weather will be picture perfect. a little bit of high cloud cover across our southern counties. even with the clouds and the rain we had, we still made it to the low 80s in winter haven, 76 in tampa. outside right now tampa 60 and clear as is clearwater. clear. northeast winds are already little bit. about right. typically we should be in the mid-70s and lows in the mid- 50s. by later in the week we are going to be in the mid-80s for highs and that's in tampa. some of our hotter spots, winter haven, highlands county, probably about 87 or 88. now, that is not until next wednesday or thursday. let's talk about what's going on this weekend because there is a lot to talk about. there's that cloud cover i talked about. it's trying to stream in from the south. high cloud cover. so tomorrow morning you start your day early.

have an early tee time, a stroll, maybe garage sales, spring training. the weather will be nice in spite of the fact there will be some clouds. high clouds. not the kind that necessarily give you overcast conditions all day. just sort of veils the sunshine. but otherwise later on in the day we're mostly sunny. temperatures are going to be quite a bit cooler than next week. highs only in the low to mid- 70s. sunday looks like a great day. sunnier than tomorrow and warmer, too, with highs in the mid to upper 70s. in terms of rainfall, nothing in the forecast until the end of next week or next weekend. at that point there is a chance that something will be tracking coming in from the gulf. that's a week away. things can change pretty drastically in florida weather in seven days. heck, it can change in seven

seven minutes in the summertime. honestly just a beautiful day, refreshing -- i don't want to say chill to the eight, but when you're over at the beach and that water temperature is in the mid-60s, and it's going to feel like the 60s with breezy conditions, it will feel a little cool. later in the week, high pressure builds in. not only does it warm us up, it's going to warm up the mid- atlantic all the way into southern new england. a big warm-up in store for the east coast later thursday, friday, and into early on next weekend. so a look at florida's most accurate seven-day forecast. it looks beautiful. mid-70s this weekend, back in the lower 80s to middle 80s by the middle of next week. well, coming up, chris archer's spring debut was nearly perfect, and the lightning after chance to make history tomorrow night at amalie arena.

in the eight-game streak bishop has allowed just six goals during that streak. impressive for the man between the pipes. bishop recorded 33 saves last night in the win over his former team the ottawa senators. he has owned the sens after being traded to tampa bay back in 2013. more importantly, bishop's career season is getting even better. >> we've given up two or less and lost just nine times. that just goes to show even when he has some losses, he's giving us a chance to win. >> i'm playing pretty well obviously. try to keep it consistent but it's a long season. right now it's an up, so you just try and enjoy it. >> history on the line tomorrow night at amalie arena. a win against the hurricanes would make a new franchise record for consecutive wins with nine.

straight last night in ottawa. they said the streak in 2008, the same year they won the stanley cup. the goal for the upcoming season, striving for perfection. he said the same thing this afternoon after the first spring training game against the red sox. archer was nearly perfect in his spring debut, didn't give up a run or a hit. archer's changeup is working so well many thought he was throwing a slider. this is his only punch-out of the afternoon. he didn't walk a better. 4th inning, rays down 1-0. ramirez can't scoop it here. we're tied at 1 in the 6th. later on boston's marco hernandez rips a liner up the middle. botch goes on to win 7-2. the red sox scored three in the 6th and three in the 7th.

said was happy with his spring debut. >> i accomplished everything i wanted to accomplish, and that was be over the plate as much ace possibly could with everything. >> i thought he looked really good. came out, was efficient, was trying a couple different things, threw some change-ups. >> still my first outing, every guy i faced, good to get positive feedback. finally, batting practice for the first time in more than a week this morning after covering muscle strain. threw the practice without any major discomfort and is progressing well without any setbacks. he might make his debut in about a week.
