evidence at the scene in suburban pittsburgh overnight. we just found out that almost all of the victims are women. three other people are in the hospital. two are in critical condition. folks who live nearby say they heard dozens of shots fired in a neighborhood that is usually quiet. >> police don't think anyone returned fire. they are trying to figure out if anyone knew one art. right now, an intense search is under way in two bay area counties for this man right here they say tried to kidnap a woman. take a good look at this guy's photo. this is jason cheladyn after a woman says he put a plastic big over her head and tried to kip nap her, but luckily, she escaped. lindsay logue is live in the sheriff's office.

>> that's exactly why they are sharing his photo this morning. they want the public's help asking anyone with any information to come forward. deputies in hernando county swarmed jason cheladyn's home. neighbors say he hasn't been seen since a separate time on wednesday. this is video you'll see on abc action news as deputies arrived, busting through the door and searched the house. deputies say cheladyn went to a friend's home in hudson. the friend got into his car that's when she said he put a plastic bag over her head and tried to suffocate her. deputies want to you take a good look at the suspect's photo and be on the lookout for his vehicle. he drives a red hyundai sedan florida tag bpsp50. there is an arrest warrant out for cheladyn on false imprisonment and battery charges.

this on her son writing "the 4- year-old gets jacked up at the target shoot" and authority as i this raises serious questions. >> the questions center around how was the firearm secured? where was it carried and how did the young boy come to be in possession of the firearm? >> under florida law it is a misdemeanor to leave a loaded gun in the place where a child can easily reach it. she is in stable condition and dcf is investigating. another heartbreaking story out of jacksonville where a detective was shot multiple times. what's worse, it was that detective's son, a 14-year-old, who called for help after witnessing a teenager shoot his dad on their way to school. the detective was off duty when he pulled over 19-year-old kevin rojas. you saw his mug shot a while ago for driving erratically. the teen opened fire. the detective was hit in the leg, chest, and hand. he managed to return fire but missed. is he in critical but stable condition.

now at 6:24, the major heartbreaking setback for member breakthroughs meant to help women start families. we've learned the first woman to receive a uterus transplant in the u.s. was rushed into surgery to have that womb removed. we told you earlier this week, doctors announced that the transplant was a success. then just a day later, they say the patient named lindsay suffered complications. in a statement, lindsay said she's doing okay and thanked her doctors. we have new drone video to show you this morning of massive flooding in northwest louisiana where dozens of homes had to be evacuated. several louisiana parishes have already declared states of emergency. the national guard has now moved in to help. nearly continuous strong storms dumped over a foot of rain across texas, louisiana, and arkansas.

investigators trying to figure out if someone purposely set this house on fire. crews are calling the fire at this east 17th avenue house suspicious because there was no electricity running to it at the time. no one was inside during the time, but investigators believe there. arson has not been ruled out. we're following up on two stories that we brought you as breaking news. first we learned a mom killed by four deputies was not holding an actual gun. we'll look at the weapon he was waving around when they fired at him. it turns out, it is an air pistol. deputies thought it was a semi automatic handgun. deputies say they told him to drop his weapon but shot him in fear for their own lives once he pointed that weapon at them. also, tampa police tell us they believe a pickup truck driver was drunk when enhit and killed a man on a motorcycle early yesterday morning.

good morning, everybody. we're starting off in hillsboro where we're just hearing of a crash on hillsboro avenue eastbound at george road just before you get to the veterans expressway. we're seeing backups all the way to kelly road. if you are headed this way, you might want to consider using waters depending on where you are coming from or where you are going. opening up our cameras and taking a look outside this is i-4 right around nebraska as you are heading in towards downtown tampa. no crashes or breakdowns on i- 4. you have a smooth ride in this morning. 26 minutes from county line road to downtown and down there at the bottom it's taking 11 minutes to get from 75 to 275. captain al is flying over the

this morning, police are investigating in ohio a sickening attack on a 16-year- old girl. police say the girl was lured into an alleyway and attacked. more disturbing, multiple people recorded on their cell phones but no one intervened. she was attacked by one girl but two more girls joined in. she has a ruptured spleen, fractured ribs and internal bleeding. she has been in the hospital now for a week. >> there is a community responsibility here. parents aren't paying attention to what's going on with their kids. kids have the wrong impression that vial silence okay. if you get facebook "likes," you are more popular than somebody else. i don't know the mentality behind it, but it's dangerous. >> police are trying to identify all of the girls involved in the fight. maddy's mom expects her daughter to leave the hospital later this week. we're taking action to get help for homeowners in a brand
