describing chaos. >> my husband said it was like it raining down on him. people were falling off one side and landing on the other. >> reporter: those passengers traveling from los angeles to chicago, say, there were screaming in the cars. >> it went dark and people got thrown around. some cars got turned over. >> reporter: in all 20 people injured. >> the car laid on their side. a side door ended up being a door on top of the train car and so, we had to -- we had stepladders up. >> reporter: others brought to this center for evacuation. this morning, with first light, amtrak and the track's owner will get a first good look at what may have caused this derailment. latest report there were two

it's causing a backup. from pinellas to hillsborough county. the backup starts about a mile back. if you notice the other side pretty backed up as well. that is because a lot of cars are avoiding the courtney campbell and taking westbound -- or southbound over the howard frankland because the westbound lanes of the court court closed as well due -- courtney campbell closed as well due to a crash. this is from pinellas into hillsborough, 37 minutes across the courtney campbell because of the onlooker delays there due to the westbound crash. 22 minutes across the howard frankland, your best bet now gandy bridge, only eight minutes to get across. captain al is flying over the crash over the courtney campbell, how's it looking now? >> reporter: it's getting a little better in that the wreckers are now on scene removing the vehicles on the westbound side if you're westbound you would come to the light at the boat docks there and you see just beyond that

minutes to cross the causeway now. 23 minutes on the howard frankland. the gandy bridge moving the quickest this morning. at just nine minutes. as i mentioned we have a crash on the westbound side of the courtney campbell causeway. captain al flying over it right now. all westbound lanes still blocked? >> reporter: they are. for the moment. there's a wrecker on scene. they did move the car. hopefully in the next 15 or 20 minutes all lanes westbound will be open. that would be great news because they are turning them around over there by rocky point. eastbound has been open for probably about an hour but because they are trying to get the westbound off of here, eastbound still a mess from clearwater. avoid this for at least another hour. you can see in some of the pictures we're getting wet roads, light showers continue to stream in from the gulf, on top of us the next several hours. you can see some of the bridges impack as well. as we continue to see light to

diagnosed than their older peers. dr. richard besser is here. this is very important, children between 5 and 17 will be diagnosed with adhd. >> it's on the rise. this study was out of taiwan. it has been in seen in other countries as well. younger children more likely to older children. in taiwan, the children in the september are oldest. take a look at this, as you go from youngest to oldest, the rate of diagnosis goes from 1.55 up to 2.9%. when you think about it, there's no blood test for adhd. there's no brain scan. you're doing checklists. they're looking for students who have inability to concentrate.

think about those early years, one-year difference in age between, 5 and 6-year-olds. >> what should a parent do if they're being told adhd? >> as a pediatrician, we look at checklists. you want the parents to fill out checklists and the teacher. you look for problems not just in school but problems at home, problems with peers. if you're only seeing it in school, maybe it's a school-ready iness issue. i'll look to see, can they sit still? can they follow directions? can they pay attention? >> i was telling you, i was born in november, started school in new jersey, i had to wait another full year, so i was always the oldest in class and it kind of helped. >> for some kids, it's the way to go.

pinellas into hillsborough. you might want to go through oldsmar or take the gandy bridge. gandy is pretty good except for right into tampa, it slows down a little. a crash on i-75 just before you get to big bend in the southbound lanes, look at this, traffic backed up all the way to 301. might want to try taking 301 or even 41 instead because again i- 75 backed up and looks like we're seeing backup northbound as well. ivan, could be some of the rain could be causing some of the problems. not helping. showers coming in through the same spots, same areas here so we're getting a little training going and going to continue with the showers through the middle of the day. otherwise mostly cloudy today, breaks of sunshine and very warm and humid. certainly summer-like. see the very narrow band of
