friends when he jumped in to grab a noodle to bring it back onto the boat or stay afloat. sadly, he never returned to the surface. teenagers crashed a stolen car into a home. the officers tried to pull the driver of that car over, but the driver took off, crashed into a fence and into this house. no one inside. car was hurt. tampa fire and rescue says the home is structurally sound. and the most accurate forecast. >> looking at warm temperatures so far. look at that, low 70s and humidity out there just feels like a july morning. we have more warm weather to come this afternoon as temperatures climb back from the 60s and 70s and mid to upper 80s inland. right along the coast, we're staying cooler with the wind off the water. the temperatures make their climb into the 70s.

days, four suspects have trolled grocery store parking lots looking for purses hanging on elderly women's wrists. >> you are robbing people that work. i am employed. i have to work for whatever i have pop. >> reporter: kathy, who didn't want her identity shown, was attacked while putting her groceries away in a winter haven wal-mart sunday. she never saw it coming. >> i started screaming "he stole my purse! he stole my purse!" >> reporter: kathy is one of six since saturday. >> i feel very different from the way that i felt previously prior to this incident. i am have i afraid. >> it's going to progress, and it has. >> reporter: all women are being urged to leave purses at home or shop with a friend. kathy has already taken that advice.

shock jock bubba the love bug is refusing to testify. heather cole testified she didn't know she was being taped having sex with hulk hogan. hogan, whose real name is terry is suing gather for invasion of privacy for posting the video online. a man is now suing uber. jason dalton is asking for $10 million claiming that working psychological damage. he went on a shooting spree and injured two others and killed several more. a hospital closed for more than a day to sterilize equipment. crews spent the night last night sterilizing the surgical center in fayetteville. tests confirmed a possible case of cjd on a patient who had a procedure there. cjd is a devastating

causes dementia and death. officials say it is hirely unlikely it can spread to patients but they didn't want to take any chances. meanwhile, more than 1300 former patients at a seattle hospital are being warned they may have been exposed to hepatitis b, c, or hiv. a surgical technician is accused of tampering with patient medications. rocky allen switched out needles containing a painkiller with needles containing other substances. he worked at two other officers including one in denver. and two former patients have tested positive for blood-borne pathogens. alison a drug addict and is infected himself. president obama announced his pick for the united states supreme court yesterday, submitting his nomination to the senate. he chose merit garland. garland is considered a moderate.

of the southwest and northeast. that's what's been keeping the fog in tact over the coastal waters. this one very quickly. what's going to happen is on saturday, we have afternoon showers and thunderstorms developing along that front. it will eventually push south but i don't think that will happen until later sunday. that means through saturday into sunday, we're game for showers and thunderstorms. keep that in mind as far as planning for weekend. we'll see good rain coming in, i think. it's just not going to rain the entire weekend. 60s and 70s as we hit through the morning hours. then 20% coverage. the front will continue to approach here, so especially across our extreme northern counties and north of citrus, that's what we're expecting. relatively dry day tomorrow compared to friday night and into saturday. that's when the rain starts going for us here. so we have plans wet saturday coming up here.

into the world of avatar with the circumstance due so he lie show. there are several performances tonight through sunday. ticket prices start at $40. this morning, one lucky german shepherd is back with family after being lost at sea for more than a month. >> the dog was discovered in the island of the pacific. after days of searching by water and by plane, luna was presumed lost at sea and given up for dead weeks ago. days ago, something miraculously happened about 80 miles off of the coast of san diego. a navy biologist was driving up the main road of the island and spotted the dog. she stopped and luna jumped into her car. authorities say it was pure luck that luna survived on the island with no running water. puddles formed thanks to el nino storms enabled her to
