>> we will have much more from the passengers in just a moment. first, this picture shows three men authorities are now calling possible suspects in the airport bombings. >> the surveillance video taken from the airport. the two men seen on the left are believed to have blown themselves up in that attack. >> tonight raids are being carried out throughout belgium to find the third man seen right here on your screen. far. >> that's right. at least 34 people were dead. two explosions killed 14 at the airport in brussels. more than an hour later, 20 killed in a separate explosion at a subway station. four americans were hurt in the attacks. >> this dramatic video captures the chaos inside the airport. passengers actually dropping everything after the deadly explosions. >> and airport officials saying a third bomb was found and neutralized right after the bombings.

through tomorrow and possibly longer. >> tonight we know that isis has claimed responsibility for the deadly bombings. in a statement posted by the isis affiliated agency for the terror group says that the bombings were carried out because belgium is, quote, participating in the international coalition against isis. immediately following the attacks, world leaders pledged solidarity with the european nation. >> lauren rozyla is live at the airport where one of the last flights to leave the brussels airport landed just a few hours ago. lauren, what can you tell us? >> reporter: that's absolutely right, guys. yeah. i want you to take a look right now. huge police presence at orlando sanford international airport. they have been checking in with passengers and doing huge security checks. i also want to talk a little bit about the flight that touched down today immediately after it landed. tons of law enforcement officers showed up and they started searching the plane.

off for more than 40 minutes. and now we have learned that many of them had no idea that these terror attacks even happened until they turned on their phones. desperate moments of waiting for orlando mother jackson. she had no idea where her son was in the brussels airport as the attacks were happening. he was traveling there for work. >> i want to see him and touch him. it's scary because you just don't know. >> reporter: then text messages came through saying that his plane touched down. officers boarded the plane before they were allowed to leave. passengers never went to the gate and were bussed to the terminal. then he walked through the door of customs. >> there is something about when you see like american soil or if you see just american security people. it's different than any are else. >> reporter: he says he almost had to leave and return back to where he was staying in brussels and possibly would have been in the airport at the time of the attacks. >> just that time right there i

>> reporter: as some families reunite, others are sending loved ones back to brussels today. his parents are returning home after a florida vacation. >> people feel sad. people feel lost in a way. you know, people don't know what to do or what to think anymore. >> reporter: he says he will never be afraid to return homes to brussels. >> if you're scared, then they have won. >> reporter: and now after nearly three hours after their flight from brussels landed, many people are going through those doors. they have been waiting for their bags. what we're being told right now is that there is extra heightened security there, checking every single bag. we were even hearing there are dogs checking each bag. huge delays in trying to get through customs and making their way home today. reporting live in sanford, lauren rozyla, abc action news. >> thank you, lauren. breaking news right now. denver international airport is

due to a possible security threat. according to their twitter timeline, no vehicle traffic is being allowed on the west side of the terminal. the east side remains open to passengers. >> we will stay on top of that breaking story. all flights to brussels have been canceled. and heightened security is in across the country. we will have a live report ahead at 5:30. >> and we are now learning that at least three of the injured in today's attack are mormon missionary from utah. thankfully they were not hurt in the attack. tom and his wife phyllis have left the last two and a half years in brussels. they are the former youth district officers of the assembly of god headquartered in lakeland. they have close friends who were at the airport at the time of one of the explosions and survived. >> we have a friend, jeff, who

and he -- when the explosions happened, he just dropped his bags and ran for cover. and he said that ceiling tiles and there was all kinds of damage around. >> and coming up tonight at 6:00, why he says despite the terror attacks he feels safer there than in parts of florida. terror attacks in brussels are top of mind route now in cuba where the tampa bay rays are playing the cuban national team. laura harris is at the game right now with how they are now dealing with security. >> reporter: since we got to the ballpark at about 9:00 this morning, we have been hearing things about security. it was easy for us to get in. they patted us down and checked our bags and we walked through in five minutes. with 55,000 people being in one place, security is tight. we talked to the commissioner of baseball today. he told us all of the security in place right knew was already set for president obama's visit. he says that it is sufficient security.

at abcactionnews.com. in other news tonight, new developments in the fight between apple and the fbi. a hearing planned for today over the fbi's demand that apple help unlock an iphone used by one of the san bernardino attackers is on hold. the fbi says an outside party has stepped forward with the possible way for unlocking the phone used by syed farook. the fbi had wanted apple to disable the phone's security features but apple claims doing so would force them to rewrite the entire phone operating system and make all iphones vulnerable to hackers. now the most accurate weather team in florida. abc action weather. >> talk about a chilly start to the day. and now through the afternoon with all of that sunshine, the temperatures have really been warming up nicely out there. in fact, in hillsborough county, 71. in tampa right now. as warm as 74 in brandon and fish hawk. plant city at 74 degrees.

even off to the north in citrus county, we have been enjoying much warmer conditions today than what we saw yesterday. so that warm-up is starting to quick in now. you will notice a difference not only in the temperatures but also in the wind speeds. they have been a lot more yesterday. most of the wind speeds between 5 to 15 miles per hour. even near calm at times. and the flow has mainly been from the north, keeping that drier air in. but we're going to see a change in that overnight and into tomorrow we will start to see the winds shifting to the southeast. in the meantime, though, you can see the temperatures a lot more comfortable through the evening. mainly in the 60s. i will show you how far we will go with low temperatures overnight in just a bit. wendy. >> thank you, shay. covering pasco county. a skydiver is in critical condition after a midair collision were a second skydiver. we brought this to you as an alert on the mobile app. both skydivers were able to

one landed on country road 54, about four miles from skydive city in zephyrhills. that skydiver is in critical condition. the second jumper landed in the drop zone in skydive city. he was injured but said to be in stable condition tonight. an update to two breaking news stories this morning. three people injured by gunfire in a neighborhood still under construction in ruskin. right now deputies believe the shooting stemmed from an argument over an online sale. the two groups met up but the seller had no intention of selling anything at all. a fight broke out. someone pulled out a gun. three people were hit. two in the hand and one in the neck. all are expected to be okay. right now we do not know the name of those involved. a major accomplishment celebrated in seminole heights today. a local developer showing off the renovated warehouse lofss now available to rent.

ceremony at the loft-style apartments. it's the first development of its kind in the neighborhood. the neighborhood is known for trendy restaurants and breweries. mayor buckhorn says it's part of the major redevelopment of the urban core. >> the concepts between urbanism is to create environments where people don't have to have a car, where they can live, work and play. the development of the river walk as the catalyst for the redevelopment. residents began moving into the lofts a few weeks ago. there are a few more available for rent if you're interested. a teenager from texas missing during a trip with his friends. coming up on action news, the major concern for his parents tonight. and taking action for your money. ransom targeting local businesses, holding files hostage in exchange for cash.

>> right now, a desperate search for texas teenager who disappeared while on spring break. >> very scary. the teenager's own parents speaking out for the first time since they found out he was missing over the weekend. justin walker, 18 years old, last seen at a music festival. tonight walker's parents begging for anyone with any information to contact police. and they say the worst part of this whole ordeal, how long justin was missing before they even found out. >> we didn't have word about this until 12 hours after the fact. no one called us.

computer, we got a big window that said warning your machine has been -- has been taken over by ransom ware. >> reporter: all the pictures they had taken were inaccessible, meaning they couldn't make estimates or plans or proposals. >> you're dead in the water. >> reporter: he says he felt violated. >> if somebody were to walk up to and you take $500 out of your pocket. >> reporter: hackers demands over 500 bucks. >> you work hard for your money. you don't like having to pay a ransom to get back what is yours. >> reporter: he didn't want to pay of course. friends, even clearwater police encouraged him not to. >> i said it's easy for you to say don't pay the ransom. it's not your data being held hostage. >> reporter: the fbi estimates $24 million for ransom fair victims with the number expected to be much higher in 2016 in part because ransom demands are just small enough to encourage people to pay up. that's what he ultimately did.

>> than it was yesterday. >> uh-huh. >> still a little chilly. >> yeah. certainly those temperatures are an improvement from this morning. >> right. >> where we're at right now, in the 70s. not bad at all. we will be getting warmer. this is perfect timing to have gorgeous weather out there with all of the spring breakers coming into town. so you can see the main sail beach right now. lots of folks out there enjoying our beaches. as they should. this is definitely the place to be. winds are still from the north, keeping that relatively dryer air in place. so we're going to still be cool tonight. but not quite as chilly as what we experienced overnight last night. so as we look towards what is headed our way, this is our next frontal boundary. it will arrive on friday. and the rain is just going to linger for days. so this is definitely a nice trend here. at least for today and into tomorrow. and then we will start to see things starting to change by

a few showers. but this frontal system will really start to impact us by friday. overnight tonight, comfortablably cool with a low around 57 in tampa. most of the temperatures in the suburbs will be in the low to mid 50s. not a big difference across the area. if you're planning on heading out to the beaches tomorrow, looking fantastic with highs near 80 degrees. the water temperature is down to 65 now. and that p.m. thursday. day. this is for thursday a chance of rain in the afternoon. tomorrow is still looking on the dry side. so on average, we should be around 59 degrees. we should be ending the day around 77. and check out what happens over the next couple of days. we're on target with the morning temperatures for tomorrow morning. not bad. then on thursday, we will be in the 60s in the morning.

helps to act like a blanket and keeps things toast yer -- toasty. most of us will be perfectly dry and notice a bit more cloudy. by friday, the front is gets closer to us. that's when the rain chances go up. we will have rain chances early in the day. this sticks around all the way into early next week. it won't be until monday that our next front comes through and pushes both of those systems out and really starts to dry us out later on tuesday. so at least through easter day, we are looking at chances for rain off and on each day. none of these days really look like a washout just yet. but we will keep an eye on it and let you know if anything changes. in the meantime, do expect at least a chance for rain both for good friday and for easter the day. and then improvement as we head into tuesday afternoon. that is florida's most accurate 7-day forecast.

[sirens] >> now at 5:30, at least 34 reported dead in brussels after a series of blast through the transit system. dozens more are injured. among them three americans. all mormon missionaries according to a spokesperson for the church. also tonight, part of the denver international airport is under evacuation after a possible security threat according to our sister station, officials have opened the emergency operation center and are working to confirm if there is a credible scene. no vehicle traffic is being allowed on the west side of the terminal. and flight delays are also

right now, the tragedy in brussels is impacting security area. good evening and thank you for joining us. >> and i'm ashley glass. nicole grigg is at the international airport with the extra measures being taken for nicole. >> reporter: good evening. those explosions happened at a ticket counter much like this one in brussels. tonight we can tell you here at tia, there is heightened security. right now there is no officers in visible sight. we can tell you we have been here throughout the day and have seen increased security. tia went into the heightened security this morning, basically right after the brussels attack. we were here this morning while the police dogs were walking outside the departure gates as well as the extra officers and tsa agents. also, all flights to brussels have been suspended across the country.
