this morning we're hearing from one person that saw the aftermath when two skydivers collided mid-air near zephyrhills. right now doctors are treating both of the men. officials at sky dive city say they jumped from more than 14,000 feet and after colliding mid-air one man deployed his parachute and landed safely. the other was likely unconscious and was saved when a rescue device opened his reserve chute just 750 feet above the ground. pat bila saw the second man

zone on state road 54. >> he had use of his arms and stuff and he could move his head but we -- wouldn't let him move. we kept him still. >> this is the second serious incident this month. a man died in early march when his main chute failed and he didn't open his reserve. a rocket lit up florida's night sky last night. the atlas 5 successfully lifting off after 11:00. carrying a cargo ship into orbit that is delivering several tons of food, experiments and other supplies to the international space station. the ship is scheduled to rendezvous with the iss early saturday morning. a beautiful night for a liftoff. >> did you see it? >> i was not up at 11:00 last night. >> i wasn't either. >> i knew we would have great video of it. >> yeah, from facebook. if you took a picture of it or saw it let us know. good stuff certainly. clear skies out there.

used to work in orlando we would scrub the launches because of weather. not so last night. clear skies, looking pretty good as far as temperatures. if you like the cool air anyway. 40s to the north, an improvement from last night this time around. this morning in the 30s. dry air still on top. look at this, this is january air mass with very dry arizona- like dew points here. very difficult to get anything going as far as rising motion in the atmosphere here. so right in the lower levels, this is about 5,000 feet up, at the lower levels we begin to get an easterly flow, that may give us a trail with the clouds today but that is about it. it's upstream we have to look well to the north and west where a blizzard is getting going. denver now getting snow. that eventually will head east, not in our area but it's the cold front associated with it that will slide in here. out ahead of that we'll prime the atmosphere a little with more moisture as that southeast wind continues to take over. that i think will yield about

this is the issue, the front that is coming out of that low that is bringing the blizzard to the west, well that is going to lose steam because the low is going to be so far north it won't drive it through here so it leaves it behind. leaves it on top of us in fact. it will meander a little here as stationery fronts tend to do. what that means is we're going to have this pooling of moisture here, a few disturbances from the gulf, providing with us occasional showers, even a few showers and storms. that begins friday, continues into saturday, sunday and into monday as well. so each and everyday not going to rain from dawn to desk but keep in mind that we are going to continue to very unsettled weather here, so we're game for showers throughout the weekend. temperatures this afternoon upper 70s to around 80. not as cool tonight with the southeast flow, 60s. in fact overnight lows heading into the weekend will be in the 70s. low to mid-80s as we head through tomorrow. sunny and mild certainly out there. again a few clouds this afternoon but not much.

i think we're pretty much dry throughout the day but it's friday as the front approaches. that is when we crank up the rain chances to 50%. that continues saturday and on easter sunday as well. keep it in mind. i think in fact for easter sunday we're ok in the morning if you have sunrise services, should be dry. it's the afternoon that i'm concerned about. more showers on the way. that lingers into early next week. here's the roads with janelle martinez. >> we have incidents reported on i-75 southbound, here we are at i-75 and fowler, traffic looking great here but a little further north at fletcher someone twooted me and said an 18-wheeler spilled a ton of bark in the roadway. that may take time to clean up. so make sure you watch for that. and even further north we have a crash here southbound i-75 at bruce b downs, fhp reporting road block in the outside lane. however, traffic indicators in the green leading right up to the crash so i'm not seeing a major delay here. i'll keep an eye on it and let

any delays. let's check the drive times on i-75, still in the green, 21 minutes from 52 to i-4. and 10 minutes from the apex to i-4. this morning we've got positive signs that any rain we see this summer won't or hopefully won't, cause the flooding mess we saw last summer especially for people in pasco county. >> one county commissioner there took a tour of the improvements made in some areas. commissioner starkey said she wanted to see for herself how their efforts will help prevent the flooding. >> trying to make things better next time, the county removed vegetation that blocked water from flowing easily and made fixes to a building to keep water from backing up. >> added netting to keep the creek open and water flowing. some homeowners didn't have any issues, while others are still feeling the effects from last summer's heavy rain. >> i'm sure we'll be tested and then we'll see if our -- all our work and efforts have come to fruition but we have a long way to go. >> commissioner starkey says

labels that will say the drug should only be used when other medications and alternative therapies cannot control pain. the black box warning is the most severe warning label there is. it will be required on immediate release formulations. additional safety labeling changes will also be required. according to the cdc more than 40 americans died everyday from prescription drug overdoses. the new york mother who injected benadryl into her sick son's feeding tube has been ordered to stay away from him. jessica valek pleaded guilty to misdemeanor child endangerment earlier this month. cincinnati children's hospital was treating her 4-year-old for a rare skin disease when she injected the allergy medicine into his tube. it makes his skin fragile and his body's reaction to the medication caused him a lot of pain. in exchange for the felony plea prosecutors dropped more serious charges. she's been ordered to serve 180

forecast, full sunshine, a few fair weather clouds unlike yesterday, this afternoon temperatures approaching 80 degrees. we'll talk about the moisture coming back with the front, providing some showers, even possibly storms into the weekend. so far enjoy your -- what is it? wednesday. >> it is wednesday. hump day. how are the roads? >> looking pretty good if you're trying to cross the bridges. this is the courtney campbell causeway, traffic still light, nine minutes to cross the courtney campbell. less than 10 across the other two bridges. we have some construction slowing things down in pinellas county, state road 580, westbound lanes are closed now, in front of countryside high school from mcmullen booth to landmark. a little bit slow as you head in here, you may want to consider taking kurlew instead. and following a crash on i-75 southbound around bruce b downs, seeing a little delay in the southbound lanes, fhp reporting roadblock there.

what can you see out there? >> reporter: there's quite a bit of -- something going on. southbound 57 past bruce b downs, both entrance ramps that come off bruce b downs both from east and west you can see there's a couple of troopers on the shoulder. a little further up, actually in one of the lanes is another trooper. looks like debris. so there could be debris there that you see. there's a road ranger there. they do have one lane closed so we're going to keep an eye on this because the backup now about a quarter mile and growing. we'll be on this. back to you. this morning people in brussels are out jogging, walking dogs a day after the city went on lockdown from the terrorist bombings. >> the death toll rising to 34 people this morning. and hundreds more injured. a top german official now saying he wants to see european security agencies exchange information more easily. right now belgian authorities

believed to be still alive, one of three suspects. lidged to the explosions at the brussels international airport. two are brothers believed to be suicide bombers, the third man still on the run now. authorities carrying out raids overnight to try and track him down. isis claiming responsibility for the attacks yesterday. after the attacks in brussels security right here at home is certainly beefed up. > it is, abc action abc action news rodney dunigan at the tampa international airport. have you seen increased presence? >> reporter: you couldn't miss it. as soon as we walked through the doors there were three uniformed police officers walking the halls even before passengers got here. airport officials say it's a key part what have they are doing to not only keep people safe but keep minds at ease. what you will also notice when you arrive here, more tsa agents at the checkpoints and also notice more police k-9s walking the property as well. at tampa international announcements have also been

passengers that if they see anything suspicious they should report it right away. left unattended. we spoke with a number of passengers this morning who are still shaken by what happened in brussels. and relieved to know steps are safe. >> i understand there are meshers that have to be taken to give yourself a better chance of preventing that kind of stuff. if it means a little longer over the line that i have to go through i'm good with that. >> it makes us feel more safe. it's good. i'm sure when we get to portland it's not as bad as this one because it's a smaller airport but it's getting more security too. >> reporter: passengers also tell me they are being more watchful in the common areas like the flight check-in as well as the lounge area. and airport officials are also warning travelers this morning, to make sure you get to the airport on time, at least an hour and-a-half to two hours to make sure you get through all

measures to make sure you make that flight on time. reporting live at tampa international airport, rodney dunigan, abc action news. one of the last flights out of brussels just before the bombs went off landed at orlando sanford airport. and law officers met that plane immediately boarding the aircraft before anyone was allowed off. that plane was kept away from the main buildings and terrible nails so police could search for -- terminals so police could search for any weapons that may have been on board. then passengers were bussed to the terminal where they were reunited with worried family. >> it could have been something like miss a ticket or my bag needed to get checked again. i i could have been in that situation. i felt blessed to be back. >> that flight stopped in miami and then returned to belgium but to a different airport. breaking news in democracy 2016 -- all the contests called this morning in western tuesday races in idaho, utah

a new endorsement announced president. we start on the democratic side, hillary clinton padding her delegate lead after taking the win in the arizona primary. she will take home most of arizona's 75 delegates adding to her lead with super delegates. clinton now has 1,861 delegates compared to bernie sanders who checks in at 927. it takes a total of 2,382 to win the democratic nomination. let's check the republican side, donald trump had a big win in arizona. his delegate lead now up to 739. meantime an endorsement coming in for ted cruz, former florida governor jeb bush saying he'll throw his support behind the texas senator. this morning we know cruz is also getting the support of voters in utah, winning the caucuses there, that puts him at a total of 465 delegates, john kasich didn't have a super tuesday.

yesterday, trails now with just 143 delegates. takes a total of 1,237 to win the republican nomination. the next state to hold a primary, wisconsin, that happens april 5th. 6:37 now. we're learning how an 83-year- old woman says a thief managed to manipulate her, took $800 from her at a sarasota atm. this could happen to anyone. deputies are searching for this guy, they say he has been targeting people at atms, stalking victims and then waits for the right time to hop right on to the machine that those people were previously on. but their accounts are still open. he acts like he closes out the transaction but instead steals their money. >> in retrospect i just feel stupid but when things happen fast sometimes you just don't pinpoint them. >> donna says she's grateful she was not hurt. says she feels foolish the suspect was able to take advantage of her and trick her

good morning. we're checking out the roads in pinellas county. starting with i-275, traffic looking great here. starting to pick up a little bit but still up to speed on 275 in both directions. checking our cameras on i-4, right as you head into downtown tampa. again traffic starting to pick up a little. no incidents, no crashes or breakdowns to slow you down. let's check the drive on i-4 starting all the way back at county line road, taking almost a half-hour to get into downtown tampa and 12 minutes down there at the bottom from 75 to 275. captain al is flying over a crash at i-75 at bruce b downs. what are you seeing out there? >> reporter: good morning. it's creating somewhat of a

if you're southbound on i-75 coming down from wesley chapel through 56 and past the apex as you approach bruce b downs you'll see a slowdown about a half-mile before getting to the overpass. the reason being, there must be several vehicles involved although it doesn't appear to be very much damaged. there is something in one of the lanes there. so road rangers have one of the southbound lanes closed, on the far left, the ramp from southbound bruce b downs, and other lanes are southbound 275. they are cleaning that up. until that happens backup still about a half-mile. allow extra time. here's the forecast. high 50s and low 60s in st. pete. 40s to the north. we'll continue to see temperatures climbing by the afternoon, we should be back in the upper 70s. in fact low 80s as well. 57 tampa now. there are the 40s to the north, inverness and brooksville. break down the 7-day forecast. as we take a look at rain chances increasing the next few days. your hour by hour forecast

and we'll be in the 50s, eventually into the 70s and we'll do that with comfortable humidity by the way for today. not much of a wind, just a few clouds. i think we'll be in pretty good shape today. rain chances increase, i think tomorrow just a couple of showers, southeast wind bringing that moisture. then on friday we'll see that front arriving, so that through the weekend we'll have occasional showers, on and off, even a few thunderstorms but mainly it's going to be a shower threat as we head through saturday. in fact the problem, this continues into early next week. by the time we're done with this particular event which will be a stalled front. we could be talking about upwards of two inches of rainfall. that will happen throughout the four-day period so we're not day. mind. for sunday as we check the forecast, i think in the morning we're in pretty good shape nor easter with temperatures in the low 70s. high humidity as well, it's going to be a little uncomfortable. then in the upper 70s to lower 80s by the afternoon with the rain coverage at 50%.

as we count down to "good morning, america." >> starting with breaking news from brussels this morning. belgian media reporting the third suspect in yesterday's airport bombing has been arrested. he's the man you see in the hat on the right side of the screen. the report saying it's in fact the third suspect of those three identified, the other two on the left are brothers, believed to be suicide bombers who died in the attack. authorities were carrying out raids overnight to try and track him down. much more on gma just ahead. people flying out of tampa international airport will notice an increase in security this morning. more uniformed police officers along with additional tsa agents and police canines are walking the property. if you go you'll also hear audio messages asking you to alert authorities if you see anything suspicious. bernie sanders and ted cruz the big winners yesterday in three western states. sanders won two of the states but clinton, hillary clinton, still able to pad her delegate lead.
