it hasn't really rained much all day. and what happened, this retention pond spilled over after heavy rain. it all ended up in the street. now over there, you will see a tankerruck that has be working all day long pumping water into the tank. that tank s hold6000 gallons and i'm told by the driver that th have made where the insurance tips -- 10 trips and forth. the county has about 10 to 12 pumps around those water levels. and it does help that the rain is held off but it becomes back that's when it comes back, things get worse, the people in the homes here, they're doing the best that they can to protect their homes. county workers actually dropped off sandbags and people are

continue on wednesday. there is a satellite picture heavy rain earlier today nothing severe just 2 to 4 and in some cases up to 6 inches of rain. this is until 6 pm or 7 pm, another line cranking up. i do not think any of these storms will be severe with winds greater than that. and unfortunately, we're getting into a situation that more is on the way. tomorrow morning, there is no place for this water to go. we are saturated especially if you live west of 75, these of the counties under that flood watch. in tomorrow, more of the same very reminiscent of what we had today. but by wednesday, they're going to pull away.

taking a look at some of the rising water. in neighborhoods with all of the rain, kids and kayaks, we haven't even spotted member, getting out and all of the standing water it is not safe. you don't know dangerous bacteria or creatures are lurking. flooding at st. pete beach, there. and driving down the street. this letter is reaching all the way to alabama. it's very ominous there. and, you have a time lapse? this is about three hours worth in tampa. and it sped up to just about 40 seconds and then, i want to check out with this. this is what we have been

you know it is back. >> this will continue. you usually get the heaviest rain by the late afternoon and evening it almost clears out. but it obviously weakens quite a big. that's a bit. -- a bit. a lot of clouds are ominous. at the heavy rain is set up overnight into tomorrow morning and they will again tomorrow. flood watch remains in another 4 to 8 inches of rain especially along the immediate coastline which is why pascoe hernando, in citrus are the only counties that are under the flood watch. rest of the bay area isn't. if you live along the coast, you are definitely going to see more rain. that is because the lowell is in the gulf. the closer you are to the beach the closer you are to the center of circulation.

away from us. so at least we do not have to worry about seeing some of those totals. but here's our issue we don't have anywhere else for the water to go in the flood watch area which is why there is a flood watch that remains into effect. because as eric showed earlier, we are all ready showing flooding so anymore rain will make it worse and it will bring more tomorrow. now, we're not going to see pictures like we had last august. to me. but what we will be seeing is another band of rain developing first thing tomorrow morning atmosphere is literallyd. when it does, the energy start after midnight on to the west most of the viewing area will be dry and then, by 4 am it starts again. so if you have been awakened by

us another round of heavy rain which is why a flood watch has been extended until tomorrow night. 4 to 8 inches of rain. this is along the immediate coastline from port richie holiday straight on up through citrus county. the bulk of the viewing area will not see rain anywhere near that heavy. and look at the last five days, rainfall over a foot just offshore but the coastline is getting the heaviest the way that this will play out. i think wednesday as well. if you look at the futurecast you'll notice, if you have to go outside maybe last-minute school supplies or school close. i think that you are going to be okay. i don't think that we see a lot of rain. but tomorrow morning, we look for another round of heavy rain. i don't think the severe threat will be high but that flooding risk will be our biggest issue. that's what we will continue to
