shooting death of an unarmed man. marisela burgos is live for us tonight following the stand off. what's going on out there right now? >>reporter: it's hard to hear you but we're standing on north 19th street. behind me you see a line of tampa police officers blocking east palm avenue and some protests here that want their voices heard and are demanding justice and answers actually from the hillsborough county sheriff's office recording riggins deputy involved shooting that happened back august 30th. the swat team with the hillsborough county sheriff's office found riggins in a bedroom. the deputy felt threatened when riggins appeared to reach for his waistband so there's protestors out here wanting answers and details about the

protests are wanting to continue marching along this intersection, there was somebody that was arrested. i have to find out from the public information officer exactly what she was arrested for. they were standing in the middle of the street and telling the tampa police officers here that they wanted to continue marching along the sidewalk but they're still blocking the street. there's been a lot of discussion between the protests out here and the marchers as well as tampa police. you talking and thinking about what's going to happen next. the protests here have originally said they wanted answers from the hillsborough county sheriff's office and they wanted the sheriff to come out within the sheriff's office to tell them what is going on with the investigation. that deputy is still on paid administrative leave and it appears riggins was not armed and will continue following this. it appears there's movement and they are actually allowing them
