the clean-up at mosaic. they will closely watch the wells recovering the tainted water. they will oversee mosaic's plan to repair and close the sink hole and see if the taunted water is moving off-site. the dep will oversee mosaic's contractor as it tests public and private water wells. the state's arson lab loses its accreditation again following an appeal. just lasmo accreditation was suspended after investigators found problems with how analysts were testing gasoline samples. investigator jarrod holbrook learned the accreditation agency found problems with 14 cases out of 26. they were just randomly sampled. local attorneys says the accreditation loss raises questions about the lab's credibility and puts arson cases across the state in jeopardy. the state-run lab is under

the division of state fire marshall on abcactionnews.com. a two-month-old baby is recovering from second and third degree burns. the mother is in jail on child abuse and battery charges. she threw the water on the child's father but the baby was lying next to him. the father is also recovering from burns on 20% of his body. just into the news room from highlands count underway after investigators find a 95-year-old man dead in his home. officers went to dominique's home to do a welfare check and found his body. he befriended some people who had done work around his home. right now officials are trying to find out who the people are. if you have any information, stpe right away. all crime a pasco coun man facing charges tonight, accused of hitting a school volunteer with his car. listen to this.

of money, it can be obviously disastrous. >> in tampa, clifton french, abc action news. now the most accurate weather team in florida, abc action weather. >> behind there on the radar, it looks like a couple of storms out there. >> a couple showers. we had rain this morning. it has moved inland. the evening will be mostly dry. look at that boat out there enjoying the sunshine. tropical sunshine. all of the moisture and the humidity feels there. even though tomorrow is the last full day of summer. and fall arrives on thursday. an isolated shower, a couple of them across northeastern hillsborough county. most of them will be out of the picture in the next 60 to 90 hours. you've got the heat and the humidity. and we hit 91 today in tampa. two degrees above normal. 91 in sarasota. upper 80s in the northern counties because you had clouds and showers earlier on.

most of the afternoon. 87 both in tampa and clearwater, under a good deal of sunshine. st. pete a few more clouds. now you're at 83 degrees. the on-shore flow that we were talking about the past couple of days, there it is. you noticed it first thing in the morning. if you live anywhere from holiday north and the rains moved right in around sunrise and continued to cut across our viewing area, right through the afternoon hours. now, with this sort of a pattern, that means most of the rain in the evening is over on the east coast. we dry out. so it to get outside. not have too much to worry about in terms of rainfall. by 8:00, it's long gone. tomorrow morning, we start to see a little drier air rolling in. while we're getting more of the same of an on-shore flow, i think conditions will be drier. i don't think you will have to worry about rain like this morning. in fact if you look through most of the day, wednesday and again on thursday, rain coverage only about 20% to 30%. some drier air up to the north will limit our rain chances.

will be back to a summer pattern. go figure for the first couple days of fall with the late day and early morning storms. even through the weekend, coverage only 30% to 40%. that means more sunshine and warmer temperatures. back in the upper 80s to lower 90s. you factor in the humidity and it will still be humid out there. we're talking about feels like temperatures near 100 degrees. we're definitely in the heart of hurricane season right now. 34% of all named in september. and go figure, the tropics are active with karl that could be close to bermuda over the next couple of days. it will curve away from the u.s. lisa won't bother anybody. i'm going to throw something out herement way out here, mode he wills are picking up on a wave that will develop in the next five to seven days. that's one that we may have to watch closer next week. check us out on facebook. we will give you update as conditions develop. it is not set in stone but it
