ease. >> action air 1 shows the sink hole today. and it appears to be growing. ryan raiche is on the ground in mulberry right now where neighbors still feel in the dark. ryan. >> reporter: yeah, they do, wendy. if you look at a calendar, we're closing in on a month since the radioactive water started seeping into that sink hole. of course people around here didn't know about it until last week. and now as the first wave of test results are coming in, no one knows who to believe. >> i don't believe it. i just really don't believe it. >> reporter: even after heather george gets the letter in the mail with the test results from her private well, she will have her doubts. >> is it hard to believe the results? >> yes, it is. i feel they are probably paying those people off. >> reporter: to her and many others who live within a few miles of this massive crater, mosaic shattered its credibility whether it kept this radioactive problem to itself. this week the company hired ect

give residents peace of mind that the toxic water is not creeping off-site. the initial results from nine wells came back today with normal readings. >> the big circle is what is called the priority 1 area. >> reporter: a representative for the testing company telling us that fudging the numbers to benefit mosaic would cost them their license and it's not worth it. >> we would do not doing to risk the integrity of our business. >> reporter: they are looking for sulf anyone who wishes to have a different company come test the wells can contact the florida dep. the same agency under fire for the handling of the sink hole. for two days, a spokesperson refuses to answer basic questions like why did the dep wait three weeks to alert the public. >> everybody is nervous and wants answers. everything was hidden and kept from us. and people want answers. >> reporter: rick hopes to get on a list of more than 70

city made known. and said it is a public safety hazard. the whistleblower said that the city knew sewage dumps and spills were possible if the sewer plant was shut down. at yesterday's meeting, the mayor said he never saw the 2014 report that warned about the possible overflows. the city councilman says there is no excuse for misinformation and the two department directors should be held accountable. >> this is as big an error as have ever ever seen up -- ever seen up close. it really is an error of judgment and honesty. i think it would not be unreasonable to -- to have them no longer work for us. >> reporter: yeah. meanwhile the mayor is expected to address the city council tomorrow and update them on an independent review going on for the water resources department. the councilman told me that he thinks that the mayor will

and then they will linger until they start to fizzle out later on this evening. i mean, maybe a general southeasterly movement over the next few hours. towards sunset, they come back. there won't be many because not a lot of moisture to work with. i think the same thing on thursday. a dry morning. friday, a dry morning. and then anything that does pop, the heaviest of which will be east of i-75. not just tomorrow night but again on friday as well. can' guarantee no rain for the big football games this weekend. but coverage is only going to be about 20%. so certainly we are looking pretty good. but that heat is not going anywhere. right back in the upper 80s to low 90s across the entire area tomorrow. whether you're in citrus county or sumter or pasco, hernando, all the way down to highlands, sarasota, manatee. look at the temperatures.
