that. still lingering clouds. check this out, this is a shot from treasure island as that line of rain barreled into the area, second straight week we've had to deal with this at the bucs game. the rains have ended. but that line is nasty. a lot of lightning as it came through. some folks northern pasco, southern hernando over 3 inches. a lot of very heavy rain. tomorrow similar setup. not the same totals. now mid-70s after highs today back in the lower 90s. this is october, right? low 90s. normally we should be at 87. we're in the mid-70s now. there's the satellite picture. a lot of clouds. this afternoon the moisture comes in and just like it does
11:16 pm
nasty line of storms that barreled across the area. this is pretty unusual for october. but as i said, a lot of moisture lingering across the area. with there pattern, and you guys know this from august and september and july, the mornings are dry and most of the afternoon is dry. once we hit about 5:00 or 6:00, the storms pop up and linger until about 9:00 or 10:00 and we see the same setup tuesday. by the middle of the week there could be more moisture, at that point there's the potential they could be dealing with some of the effects of matthew. this is typically what the season looks like in terms of activity. we've already reached the peak. notice in october, we start to see a little uptick and almost always those are storms from the ribbian or gulf of mexico -- carribean or gulf of mexico. this one is from the carribean
11:17 pm
i checked the models, and they're trying to trend back a little bit towards the west. what does that mean for us in the bay area? nothing. this is not a gulf of mexico storm. this is not a storm that will bother us directly. it could mean for the east coast of florida, tropical storm force winds. could it change? of course it could. five, six days down the road. this is thursday night, it's still south of the bay area. we're talking four days away. a lot can in the tropics, much less four days. up until then, rain is going to be such a huge issue. this is 2 to 3 feet of rain expected in western haiti. the spaghetti models show a pretty general agreement for most of the models to the bahamas. but there are a few that have been trending back to the west.

continue to see a chance of storms rebuilding tomorrow afternoon and into the evening. one last look, again i just had a chance to look at the new numbers coming in. while matthew is still moving north at 5 miles per hour, the track pretty much on money with what the hurricane center has been saying for the last several days. if you look at that track, it eventually takes this storm as a category 4 hurricane between haiti and jamaica. that is probably with most of the damage they could see 3, easily 3 feet of rain. maybe 3 and a half feet of rain the eastern side of cuba and slowing down about three or four days in the bahamas. the bahamas also will get hit hard. notice on the coast, the cone shifted a little bit to the west. certainly not a huge impact for us. but definitely it could be a problem for the east coast of florida later on this week. so your forecast tomorrow morning for the bus ride in,
