a lakeland home, here is video showing the man, ryan tallent being booked into jail. the accident killing janice folds. investigators say that there is no doubt he was drunk. this pinellas county deputy is out of a job facing charges after he stole prescription pills and even pond his service gun. >> erik waxler just talked with the sheriff about how the arrest is part of a much larger problem. >> reporter: the deputy's name is stephen smith, this is his mug shot, he was a good cop when he first started in 2012 but then his life fell apart because of a drug addiction. >> he had nothing, you could tell just by his cruiser honestly it was a mess. he might have been living in that.

addicted to oxycodone because of a long-term back injury that is why his job performance and started to suffer. he was eventually demoted twice and given a desk job but on the desk job instead of destroying an unused prescription he took them home instead. >> he may have taken as many as three of the oxycodone pill bottles and probably over 300 pills. >> smith's downward spiral got so bad he sold clock at this pawnshop. smith told investigators he did not take the pills on the job instead he doubled up on his dosage after work>> he needs to face the consequences for his actions. we hope he gets the help he needs. >> reporter: the sheriff says he wishes smith had admitted his problem earlier so he could of gotten help before hitting rock-bottom.

when approved families can adopt animals for $10. tons of rocks shut down a busy road in tampa today following a crash in the northbound lanes on north 50th street. 24 tons of rocks spilled from this truck after it collided with a van, everyone expected to be okay. an independent autopsy revealing keith lamont scott died from gunshot wounds in his he was shot to death last month by a police officer, the autopsy says scott specifically suffered gunshot wounds to his left back, left stomach and his wrist. he also had broken ribs, the medical examiner results have not been released. we are learning of a music of viruses own in miami, five people have tested positive and officials believe they got the virus from here in florida.

we look closer to the coastline in pinellas county things are looking pretty good mainly 85 to 86 degrees you can see palm harbor 86, looking good across the area with a nice mix of sun and clouds today. will continue to see the same pattern tomorrow with this north easterly flow, we get a nice breeze from time to time a problem and most of this doesn't reach the ground, so you may get a sprinkle out of it but that is it. this front we can't get excited, there is no big push of dryer, cooler air, but the next one coming next week around this time between friday and saturday we will see the front push through and we will get a nice batch of cool dry air. the beautiful weather continues

the afternoon, we will still see low chances for rain that will be reinforced behind the front but no dramatic changes yet. if you are trying to plan out the night and you're headed out to the lightning game things are looking nice and dry and we will see partly to mostly cloudy skies, we don't have rain icons overnight or into early tomorrow morning so the commute is looking very good. if you have yardwork to do tomorrow, anim time, the temperatures will be starting off in the 70s, ending the day in the mid to upper 80s, if you want to stay out of the heat get the yardwork in earlier otherwise no problems for you. this holds through the weekend as we are looking at saturday and sunday, i want to point out we are going from 10% chance of a shower to 20%. this is not a big deal, but you might be more likely to see a
