grocery store. we started breaking news. the man accused in a deadly hit- and-run is jarvis. and the senior vice president of the credit union, he is accused of hitting the 74-year- old early in the morning on october 6. he drove away leaving her on the side of the road to die. he said he had been drinking and crash a delivery -- and had a deliberate scheme to cover it up. in the, on macintosh road. it notified the insurance company. >> -- in other news, they are busting people for drinking and driving. >> yes. the veteran was driving his own

it is pretty obvious that something wasn't right here. >> reporter: it was pretty obvious. deputies found that officer asleep in his own car right here on gulf boulevard in madeira way. deputies found the officer late last night he was not working, his days off are monday and tuesday. but the next time that he would have had to show up to work was wednesday at 7 am. the police department hired him in 2005. this is not the first time he has been in trouble. he was convicted in 2010. the police chief says that he was suspended the and had to follow their policy of not drinking a sip for five years. officers could be randomly tested during that time as well. one person that i spoke with says he is shocked about the dui arrest. >> every encounter is always professional and he gave you the straight story on things and

they have been getting hit every week. and, another update. about the -- another update about the aclu. and, justin, all -- just in, they got a subpoena for a felony criminal case against their director. that subpoena references a felony charge of misconduct in office. meanwhile, the health concern to children, lead poisoning that can cause permanent brain damage. today's aclu lawsuit is geared towards identifying the academic and behavioral health that those children may need later in life. all right. it lasted 10 minutes we are expecting to see donald trump coming up to the podium.
