i just didn't know what to look for. i just didn't know. this is something that was congenital. there my whole life. there's a chance that lit happen with my other hip. how do we help folks not -- be as shocked as i was. i literally, i went through shock symptoms. i was like, oh, muscle pull. >> how to navigate those waters. number one, find a good orthopedic surgeon. someone who does a lot who specializes in the hip joint. you really want to follow his or her recommendations preop and post op as closely as possible. you want to minimize the wear and tear on the joint afterwards. it has a shelf life. it's not going to last forever. that doesn't mean be inactive. it just means be careful. >> this is not an old person's problem. this san active persons a problem. we all have joints.

good morning, everybody. we have a serious crash in hillsborough under the selmon expressway. the northbound lanes of 50th street are completely blocked. this is a serious crash with injuries. an overturned car. no word on how long the lanes will be closed. in the meantime, try u.s. 301 or 22nd street to work your way around this. again, no word on how long those lanes are going to be blocked. elsewhere on the interstate we are in great shape. this is i-275 and busch, one of the busiest spots for the morning drive and the lanes are wide open. looking great i-275 in pinellas county, back up to speed pushing 70 right now from the sunshine skyway down to the howard frankland. shay? things are beautiful outside this morning. we are off to another cool

the mainsail beach in on anna maria is looking fabulous. it may not be a great beach morning because of the temperatures but this afternoon near 80. 66 in sarasota right now. 64 in tampa. 68 in spring hill. 63 lakeland. temperatures are coming up from where we started at the beginning of the day. they will continue to come all the way up to 81 degrees as a high. lots of sunshine this afternoon. check out the week ahead. a lot of sunshine. temperatures warmi degrees by thursday. thursday the humidity levels will be back up so it will start feeling steamy but the rain chances are below 10% through the week and that means this next weekend is looking fabulous as well with high temperatures in the mid-80s. overnight temperatures are going to be, once again, on the cool side overnight tonight, below average. after that, the temperatures are coming back up to the upper 60s to about 70 degrees each morning into next week. action news this morning starts
