morning so by 7:00 a.m. sunrise by the way just before that. 6:47 at 65 and then we jump to 80. plenty of sunshine a few clouds rolling through the afternoon but dry throughout the entire day and by 7:00 temperatures in the middle 70s. we do have a front coming in tomorrow and our next shot of showers talk more about that and what happens behind it with cooler and dryer air moving in in just a few minutes. >> good morning everybody. if you are heading over to st. pete want to avoid the howard franklin. a serious crash blocking all but one lane to get by this crash. again this happened about 30 minutes ago so still pretty new crash. no word on how long those lanes are going to be blocked. and we are starting to see some delays. again this is heading southbound on the howard franklin. you can see the back up starts right up when you get to this crash. you might want to consider take one of the other bridges

and lastly know the vote by mail deadline. vote by mail ballots have to be at the supervisor election office no later than 7:00 tonight. floridans are voting in record numbers. more now than in 2000. back in 2000 less than 6 million people voted in the it became an issue. and minorities voting in record numbers there's been a surge of latino voters in early voting. as of friday 200,000 more voted early than four years ago. ballots from asian americans doubled here in florida, arizona, virginia and north carolina. asian americans make up 1 to 2% of any state's total voters. >> both candidates worked into

after i was a republican nominee said we want to give you $1 million for your campaign and i told them i don't want it. i'm not going to take it. i refuse to do so. we ended up winning that campaign anyway but i can't be bought and sold and i never will be. >> the race between jolly and crist has included dirty ads one using a photo shopped picture of david jolly standing next to donald trump. the ads were won by a na campaign. >> they confront each other's records. what is not okay is the mud slinging. there's an ad that calls me dangerous. my six-year-old niece asked why are they calling uncle david dangerous. that's wrong. >> according to st. pete polls crist has a 5 point lead in this race. >> the other big local congressional race will be watching closely two women

at a local little league are unable to play and nothing to do with their skill levels. their field has been vandalized multiple times and they want it to stop. >> ashley, do league officials have any idea who might be responsible? >> well the president tells us he likes to think that it is kids because hard to believe that any self respecting adult would do something like this. take a look at this video. here's a closer look at the type of damage they are dealing with. on friday someone splattered this paint all over their new dug out dealing with vandalism since the end of july. their field construction is delayed and someone decided to do donuts in the out field. parents and officials don't know why someone would knowingly destroy property that they don't own.

i've been here too long, too many hours, games, volunteer and it does hurt. >> and the damage has cost the league about $10,000. that's after raising nearly $200,000 to build the field in the first place. now the plan is to open the field in time for the spring season. and the league says that they do plan to add security cameras but of course they are going to have to raise money for that because news. a california mom is furious with her kid's school right now. cafeteria workers gave her children juice with mold in it. one of the juice boxes was six days past the expiration date. she wants an answer but so far not commenting. the sell by date is reliable if the juice is stored properly.

there. temperatures in the 60s, good morning tampa bay. looking fine at 65 in the city right now. st. pete at 68. 60 in the hills and you work your way up and it's cooler up to the north in the upper 50s pretty typical for this time of year as we check in on our temperatures and how they were yesterday running two to five degrees cooler. maybe we'll see something interesting here. look at that charlotte at 39 right canada but it's bumping up against the appalachians mountains here so that allows for temperatures to stay chilly through an extended period of the morning. we are going to stay mild. eventually we'll get a front coming through here and drop our temperatures a little bit but our weather is coming from the north and west although i think this rainfall will be done by the time it gets here.

with limited moisture rain chances and still thinking only about 20% if that as the front moves through so again pretty much a dry frontal passage that will cool us off a little bit. the clouds once again like yesterday today rolling through making a pretty sky out there with a northeast wind. not as strong by the way so i don't think we are going to have the breeze we had yesterday. 82 with a high temperature a couple of degrees above average but we'll go a couple of degrees below average on wednesday mainly not because of the front. the cloud cover and then we do get into dryer air coming through the day on thursday setting us up for a nice kick off to your friday. a lot of sunshine on veterans day upper 70s overnight temperatures in the 50s. >> good morning everybody. we have an update on the crash on the howard franklin in the southbound lanes a crash with injuries. fhp sergeant gas con is telling me this crash should clear soon. apparently a teen driver was

predicter. they are out pacing by 28,000 ballots. however that does not tell us who those votes are for. that many more democrats voting early than republicans. the county reported last friday 71% of ballots issued had been returned. the car sharing service zip car is helping people vote tonight by giving you free rides with a car rental making 7,000 cars available to members and there is a flaw. promotion runs from 6 to 10 tonight. the polls close at 7 and on the mobile app. 5:47. now a washington state man is facing charges after he says he was trying to protect himself facing charges for accidentally shooting a grandmother next door. deputies say he opened fire on a thief who was stealing his car thursday night but a stray bullet went through the window

slept. he is now facing manslaughter charges. a jury awarded $300 million to the administrator who sued rolling stone magazine for defaming her in a story about campus rape. that story was later reattracted and filed a lawsuit claiming her as indifferent and callus to a woman who claimed she was raped on campus. rolling stone apologized after police found no evidence to back up woman in wyoming was trying to make a meal when her salad dressing exploded like a fire cracker. >> it's hard to explain i was attacked by a bottle of salad dressing. i think he probably thought i was into whiskey or something. >> she took pictures to prove her story. she later found out that dorothy lynch salad dressing had been recalled. bacteria in the dressing could make it bubble up, foam, spew

the dressing went everywhere damaging her computer carpet and walls estimating at $2,500 of damage. an oklahoma man takes a different approach to handling a home intruder, sevenned him- -served him coffee and prayed with him. he barged through brown's back door and told him he had just stolen two cars. >> i spent an hour with him trying to keep him calm. finally called a friend and in the conversation she asked me do i need to call the police and i said yes. >> brown is a former minister. he says the intruder asked him to pray for him. >> tampa bay lightning continued to give up goals in the first period and last night in south florida the bolts offense couldn't bail out the defense. the lightning did catch a break in the third period. andre jumps on the loose puck
