they were very roady and feeling good. the return started coming in, in florida and the mood turned quickly. those supporters are hoping clinton can find another path to the white house. >> until we know, we're holding out hope. that's all i can say f. it doesn't go our way i'm going to be pretty upset. i'm victory tonight. >> reporter: that cheering you heard behind me is really about some of those other states where the polls just grow. the bad news, the associated press calling this race for donald trump. not what these folks wanted to hear. they're holding out hope that hillary clinton can find another path to the white house.

for president carried pinellas county. >> >> reporter: we expect an even bigger celebration tonight. in pinellas county count pinellas county. >> the supervisor of elections saying only one glitch. more on what happened out there. >> reporter: earlier today there was an issue with checking in 75 voters. so in some cases it said they voted or other cases they were at the wrong precinct but within 20 minutes they got that fixed and those people voted provisional ballot. when you look at the numbers for early voting and mail in ballots, results of 340 precincts, clinton beat trump in hillsborough. they said no to amendment one but yes to amendment two.

presented to the canvassing board by thursday. the supervisor of elections says that every election year they review everything, even randomly selecting not only a race but precincts to review so they make sure the numbers add up. the other big race in florida, marco rubio will keep his seat. he beat challenger patrick murphy. take a now, marco rubio beating patrick murphy by 3,000 votes all precincts now reporting. >> there's still no nation on earth i would rather be. despite our challenges, there is no country or people on this planet i would trade places with. i'm glad i'm an american. america will be okay. >> patrick murphy was gracious

>> reporter: the party is over here for sure. but david jolly didn't seem like a man who lost his bid for re-election here in district 136789 instead, he thanked his supporters and talked about his faith that guided him during his time in congress. earlier this evening in the ballroom he did concede losing to charlie crist. he said the redrawn district lines that made the district jolly buttoned heads with fellow republicans in congress and did not support donald trump for the presidency. he jokingly asked if it was lonely taking on both parties. what would you have accomplished with the support of your party? >> we came in two or three points in a race that president obama won by 11 with 0 money from the national party. i think it's a lesson to the

part of the area. temperatures now primarily in the upper 60s to the lower 70s. the dew points are still comfortable. upper 50s to low 60s. coming up and that continues tomorrow but we have a cool front on the way. that's why we have showers in the forecast tomorrow and we look for cooler and drier air to arrive thursday and into part of your weekend. anywhere from the upper 60s to low 70s under partly cloudy skies across nice weather-wise with sunny skies across the state. as we mentioned, there was no weather issues for the country for the election. but the clouds are going to be thickening overnight and you can see futurecast you'll be waking up to partly cloudy skies. first thing in the morning looks good. late in the afternoon, some isolated showers roll in. rain won't be the biggest issue but you'll see more cloudiness on wednesday than the last

left of it it comes through wednesday night. and thursday morning we are clear, cooler and drier. another cool front making it feel very nice with highs only in the upper 70s starting on thursday. and quite possibly through the weekend. here's what is going on. that dry air we've seen taking a break overnight ends tomorrow. but this front coming down will give us lower humidity and cooler temperatures extending from thursday night into friday, satuay as well. there is a changes we could see shower activity returning early next week. high temperatures on wednesday, upper 70s to around 80 degrees. the normal high this time of year is 80. things will be back to normal. the difference is on wednesday, a lot of cloud coverage especially 9:00 or 10:00 in the morning until sunset even though we'll see highs of 80 degrees.

the crowd behind me is staring attentively as nervously at the networks and screen behind me and election returns come in. big shouts of relief when states like california come in or when concession states like virginia come in for clinton. the big states left remaining are too close to call such as michigan are where most of the anxiety where the supporters here today are training their sites. if clinton gets imagine that would be a say of relief rather than a victorious shout. meanwhile at the donald trump event where todd walker s i bet it's a very different environment. todd. >> reporter: it's louder here. they're confident but not as june lent as they were an hour ago when donald trump had a significant lead. i'm hearing more cheers now. they're watching fox news here.

mcmanis. looking ahead what to expect in the morning. let's take a step back. florida being called a short time ago what do we see in the numbers as returning came in. >> first of all it was a 1% election which is what we seen all along. in 2012 it was a 1% e let's be honest. hillary clinton did not do as well as obama in nine of the ten media markets in the state. she only exceeded his miami-dade -- miami-dade. orlando markets trump won. where he piled up votes we hadn't seen ahead of this election was in a lot of the suburban areas. areas where working class and middle class people live with economic anxieties and they turned out to votes at higher rates for him than romney. >> you were thinking the i-4

>> it's almost the barometer for florida. no surprise. i know a lot of viewers will be thrilled to no, no more tv ads but of all the media markets in the country, the two markets that saw the most television ads was number one orlando, number two is tampa. >> and car ads as well. so some returns come in. what states do we need to look at that perhaps will give us a trump or clinton winner? what states do we need to focus on? >> the ones we're looking at closely now would be of course wisconsin and michigan. if he wins one of those two and can pick up nevada and arizona, that's key. he also needs to capture new hampshire and that's not in yet as well but the fact he won

the biggest states that were very, very close. it's really been a nail-biter election. we said all along it's the most unusual election we had in america. this is an election night like we won't forget. i can assure you. >> any surprises as you watch this unfold. you've been doing this three years now. >> i think one thing we realize is polls cannot out. there have been surges in turn outs for demographics and under turn outs n. florida we saw weakness in the mill lennial vote. we saw weakness in the minority vote in terms of turn out. among the latino vote, there was a third of that vote that went for trump. the assumption was all the hype on early voting the latino vote was 100% clinton, that didn't pan out either.
