live report, the fear running from customers and also what workers have to say this morning. it is 5:00. good thursday morning. thanks for waking up with abc. >> good morning. we want to get a look at your forecast on this friday eve. shea's in. hope you're going to bring the sunshine. >> we're going to see lots of sunshine today and our temperatures to the north are about 5 to 8 degrees lower this in the upper 50s to about 60 degrees. but the farther south we go the cooler drier air hasn't quite settled in yet. this morning around tampa bay you find about a degree or two lower. still pretty warm and muggy with temperatures in the low to mid-60s across much of the area. 66 in tampa right now. 62 in brandon. 63 in ruskin.

80 to 81 degrees. so a pretty warm afternoon ahead with lots of sunshine no. rain in sight but i will show you where we'll have some higher chances for rain as we time out the next couple of fronts that will be rolling through in the seven-day forecast. how are things looking for the roads this morning? >> we're starting off -- kennedy approaching downtown tampa. right in front of the buddy brew there. reports of some roadblocks there in the some roadblock in the westbound lanes. the good news is traffic is still light. getting around pretty easily and we do expect this to clear shortly. hearing of a crash westbound on the courtney camp court -- campbell. there's not a huge slowdown there on the courtney campbell. 8 minutes to cross the bridge. >> all right. thanks.

they say the same guy hit three area businesses within the last few weeks. abc action news reporter is live at one of the latest stores hit. >> caught on surveillance camera right here at the store. take a look at this video. it shows has the man jumps on to that counter demanding crash. no one was hurt in all of this. three robberies in just the last two weeks. the suspect in this case also caught on camera at another local wal-mart all of this just moments before he implied that he had a gun and held up that cash year. customers we spoke with now a bit worried for their safety with this guy still on the loose. it's a little crazy. i didn't expect that.

like someone threatening him at the counter. i didn't expect him to jump up. yeah, that's crazy. that's insane that he did that. these are surveillance pictures investigators are hopeful someone out there watching this morning has information that can lead to an arrest. police say that robber may also be driving a white toyota. back out here live this morning. just spoke with he was definitely frightened. just to give you an example of how dangerous this work is, i spoke with one of those cashiers and he's been involved in two armed robbery robberies. definitely scary and they hope that someone out there has more information that can possibly lead to an arrest in this case. coming up this morning at 6:00, i'll let you hear from those cashiers about what happened that night. reporting live in clear water.

5:03. breaking overnight thousands of people across the country and some here in the bay area protesting the election of donald trump. in california, protesters shutdown a highway. highway o 101 linking hollywood to los angeles nsm manhattan gathered on columbus circle and a trump effigy was lit on fire. here in tampa around a hundred organizers say they want their voices heard. >> to continue to educate our neighbors and people who hate us and spew hate and say nasty thing to us. the only thing we can do to educate. that'ses main goal in the first place. >> that's the organizers. she says she received death threats for organizing

at the nation's capitol antitrump protesters marched outside a trump international hotel and then walked four blocks down pennsylvania avenue to the white house where trump is set to meet with president obama this morning. any demonstrators chanted not our president and black lives matter. a young woman immediate history this election day. the 21-year-old became the youngest person despite her age she beat amanda murphy at house district 36. it includes husband and -- she won by 788 votes. she grew up around politics. her dad just won his fourth term and now she outranked him. balancing school and work and doing all of that. it's a lot to handle but the work doesn't stop here.

officers is heading to jail despite an emotional plea. his mother told a judge that her son was sorry for hurting an inmate. >> on his way home. he said, mom, pardon my language but i really messed up. >> kneeing a drunk inmate in the stomach. ordered him to pay the medical bills accused of killing a couple and chewing on the dead man's face just got indicted. 19-year-old austin haruth was charged in second-degree murder. deputies say he attacked that couple in the garage and stabbed a neighbor who rushed to help. they will allow prosecutors to seek the death penalty. . >> facing charges for choking a student. the guard and the student

a man barges in and demands to speak to the judge. officers have to wrestle him to the floor so they can arrest him. turn out that man had a personal dispute with the police and the court. authority have now charged him with contempt of court and assaulting a court probation officer. they're showing how hackers can use the light butables in your house to take down sections of internet or even full scale attack. it happened to -- they say an attack can start simply but plugging a single infected bulb anywhere in the city and spread everyone within minutes. they were able to use drone to take over lightbulbs and make them flash.

provided technical details for a fix. we had a cool front moving through late yesterday. it's now to our south and with it the cloud cover is pushing to the south. and drier air is moving in from the north. what that mean for us is that we're going to see a lot of sunshine today. and you can see right through 4:00 those clouds thinning out. by 8:00, nice and dry. still. we're going to top out with highser in 80 degrees. just about on target for average. if not a little bit above. if you're planning on barbecuing tonight don't have to worry about any rain getting in your way. it's going to be gorgeous. down to 72 by 7:00. so beautiful weather whatever you have in mind. temperatures should be right around 61 to start the

around 9. we're a little above average this morning as we're starting off at 66. temperatures as cool as 51. 54 in crystal river. right now you're at 61. arcadia at 65. 68 in sarasota. we'll be topping out around 80 degrees. just a tad above average but over the next couple of days we'll see the temperatures coming down just a little bit and with that lower humidity i think it's making for a gorgeous forecast right through to both saturday and sunday we're going to be dry. lots of sunshine. a light breeze on sunday behind our next front that rolls through on saturday. almost completely unnoticed. it may bring us some light rain chances for monday and tuesday. that's florida's most accurate seven-day forecast. what's going on on the roads this morning. crash still causing some tie ups? >> yeah. we're still watching this track on kennedy. approaching downtown tampa. i was seeing it start to clear.

long. >> we'll also tell you about an antitrump protest here in the bay area. good morning. >> we're going to start with a check on the forecast. shea is in for ivan and the sunshine. >> yeah. the sunshine returns today and it's going to be gorgeous this afternoon. check out the temperatures right now. a little lower than where we were yesterday at this time. 61 in brooksville right now. ridge manner at 60s degrees. temperatures in polk county are up just a few degrees lower. all at 63. frost prowf. the farther north you go the temperature are the lower. across hillsborough county most of the temperatures are in the low to mid-# 0ed. so what's happening is behind that cool front that moved through late last night that drier air filtering in to the north which is allowed for some cooler temperatures.
