polk county deputies are searching for this man. he drove off in a county truck. investigators recovered the truck but he's still on the run. last september a judge sentenced him to 300 days in jail for petty theft. a crime alert in brandon. police are looking for two men who stole cell phones. on tuesday the phones they're worth more than $2,000. if you know anything about what happened, call the hillsborough county sheriff's office. a 9-year-old boy is recovering after falling off a resort balcony near walt disney world yesterday. his family was packing their things to head back to michigan and left the boy unattended. a relative returned the room and found him on the ground outside. he was alert and conscious when taken to the hospital. a venice teacher under

authorities are not saying exactly why. the teacher works at island village montessori school. he's now on leave. the venice police department isn't releasing details about the case because it's an active investigation. gara shaffer's two children attend the school. >>it was just a letter that was suggested -- sent out by the administration telling everyone he was on administrative leave. >>action news tried to the school for more information but our calls have not been returned. in central florida two day-care workers and a mother are facing charges because a 4-year-old was left sleeping in a van. the child fell asleep in a van. when he woke up he got out and walked into the day-care. investigators say the mother was not supervising her children. a sarasota day-care center

in a hot van during a field trip. a sarasota mother says she got a letter that her daughter was being kicked out of the school because of a facebook post and for commenting and talking to abc action news. the day-care is under investigation for leaving a child in a hot van for two years during a field trip in october. parents say the day-care never notified them about what happened. >>what if it was a longer field trip and the child was in there more than two hours? there could have been serious consequences and it seem like they're looking at that side of t he was okay so the situation is okay, and it's not. >>the director of the preschool refused to comment. the department of children and families is investigating the day-care for abuse. pasco county school leaders are moving forward on a controversial rezoning plan. a committee of principals and parents approved a plan that would move the long leaf neighborhood and a few others into the river ridge school zone. parents say it is tearing
