>> it has been two weeks since this murder and detectives do not have enough evidence to make an arrest. new surveillance pictures are the first real clues released in the search for answers. jeff is in sanford tonight, and jeff cut the people in those pictures are not considered suspects, suspects, but police believe they have seen the killer. >> reporter: police want to talk to some of joshua's last customers who may have been the last to see him alive. take a look at the pictures taken from a closed-circuit television camera inside of the store. the pictures show a pair of men and a woman the counter that night period police told me that the people in the picture are not suspects period the just want to talk to them because they believe they may

run-ins with the law. it was only after a federal - - former veteran assisted negotiators where he surrendered with minor injuries. >> i'm glad that nobody got injured and it was isolated beyond that. >> reporter: he was charged with 23 counts of attempted murder on an officer with a firearm, aggravated assault and domestic, and domestic violence and battery. a man of - - accused of stabbing a couple is a couple is in jail with half million dollars bond. he attacked them two weeks ago in the rental home. their children were home at the time but were unharmed. investigators and say four people identified him and his father after they released a composite sketch and phillips confessed. he confessed to everything and told us where the knife was. it was hidden in the backyard

related to the victims and wanted to steal their truck. he is charged with burglary and attempted murder. we uncovered another deputy was just fired for misconduct. he is accused of falsifying reports, he was reports, he was reprimanded by the insurance and he is one of several deputies are present in represented in the last few months and it is all part of a plan for the agency to keep better tabs on deputies. >> i see you have no tag light. >> reporter: this video shows the traffic stop kill - - carried out by the deputy. during the stop, the driver was arrested and drugs and paraphernalia were found in the car. during the stop, officials say they violated this - - policy period they found . they found serious issues. they see the report and the video did not match up.

police filed the charge in march of 2009 but the state attorney's office chose not to prosecute. tonight he is back in seminole county behind bars with no bond. the 34-year-old is facing judges for pimping out a a 16-year- old. the report does not detail how he knew her, but he requested her to have sex in exchange for money. the charge could carry a life sentence and for now he is not leaving jail. he spoke with investigators when they picked them up last night. but what he told them is redacted. the judge indicated he made a confession. >> i find probable cause based on some of your confessions to law enforcement, among other things that law enforcement has >> reporter: he does have a criminal history but is not a a registered sex offender because in 2009, when he was charged

or 17-year-old child the state chose not to prosecute. he did plead no contest to aggravated child the - - neglect but only spell deposit spent two years of probation. he has children of his own and it does get a bond later, he cannot have contact with them. he has also faced charges of robbery, grand theft, and drug charges in the past. many of those cases in which he was not prosecuted on and some of them he did reach plea deals on. if did in this case, he case, he could face up to life in prison. the school district superintendent is under investigation, but the board will not say lot - - wide. they investigated the claim and the school board attorney said that the claim was filed by a - - and associate superintendent. in a few weeks a murder

there is another reason the orange county landfill smells so smell so bad. last year they were mixing drywall with household trash. and we should do things soon you things like chemical sprayers they are using to cut odor. and we have the results of a study that was done on the trash. >> if only sent a few complaints about the snow. >> reporter: it has been two months since we talked to dave about the smell around his house and landfill workers have lay down dirt over the trash

>> we will be able to shed that ring without the erosion that creates more odor. >> reporter: it is a lid to keep the stink in place but documents say a chemical reaction between drywall and bacteria isn't the only thing that went wrong here. part of the problem started in bathrooms all over orange county because every time you flush, you are sending biosolids to water treatment plants. and for a while it all ended up here like the rest of your trash. and farmers who use the sludge for fertilizer stop taking it and the landfill was the only other option. >> there are times in the future we may have to do that again, but we need to be in control of the odor. better than that. for now, capping earlier than planned and spring it down with uteruses.

still waiting for the bill. >> reporter: they are still waiting on final plans from the company who did the study and they are expecting to get it by the end of january and will have a public meeting in - - in february. we got more calls into the newsroom from residents complaining about the new automated trash collection system and we told you yesterday that some residents have gone days without trash even being picked up. the county says that residents are facing trash cans the wrong way in some cases or too close to other objects which forces the truck operator to get out and rearrange them, which slows down the process of collections and costs the backup. in brevard county, investing county, investigators say amendments craigslist to defraud people out of money. rockledge police say a man reached out to people on craigslist, craigslist, offering a check to pay for services.
