system, later this week, bob. all right. thanks. breaking right now, the remains of a missing jacksonville area toddler have been found. police and prosecutors made that announcement less than an hour ago. angela jacob was was listening to the news conference and more charges are likely. >>reporter: bob, they say that this investigation is not over by any means, and expect more answers in the coming weeks. they won't yet say what new charges are being considered, or against who, but they will say ruben ebron is the chief suspect and he is still the chief suspect. investigators say he and can his attorneys cooperated and led them to this new area in the city's south side. a location that had not been searched before. we told you when lonzie was reported missing in july, when ebron o, lonzie's mother's boyfriend. police found that to be a lie after finding video of ebron difficulting the car before calling 911 -- ditching the car

neighbors said deputies have been searching a wooded area near their home since last night. investigators called today's development a relief. >> i can't say there's any joy, but there is some satisfaction in the fact that the first step of justice and that first step is just to give him a chance to be put like any of us would want our children put, where we found him wasn't. >>reporter: very emotional news conference, at this point, investigators would not go into anymore specifics about how the body was found. but told us that this part of the case comes after months of a long search by 400 people, from 38 agencies. back to you. >> a former volunteer firefighter is in the seminole county jail on arson charges, he was on parole for arsons in pennsylvania. seminole reporter tim barber live at the were foer lings at

he set the clubhouse on fire twice. >>reporter: the first fire was on new year's, but the suspect put that fire out. the second fire, this fire, happened three days later. the clubhouse you can see, is all packed away neat and tidy. in these cans. the clubhouse is gone, the only sign that this property used to be a golf course is the overgrown driving range. altamonte springs police say that the former clubhouse burst into flames on january 4th. she watched from her apartment. >> a big fire. it was a big one. >>reporter: but jenkins did not know that the person is a former volunteer firefighters. >> holy cat liver, i don't know about that. >>reporter: the 27-year-old was admiring his work. >> he appears to be nervous and one of the officers checks out with him and the story went downhill. >>reporter: he told the police he saw the flames on the way back from getting milk at walmart.

him, but he did have lighters, a flashlight and gloves that wreaked of smoke. >> we have firefighters out here, saving people's lives. i mean, somebody comes from another state and come here and do stuff like that. that's not right. >>reporter: the state fire marshal's office says pierce is on parole for arsons in lancaster county, pennsylvania. the golf course has been closed for more than a year, so no one was inside of the clubhouse, but pierce is still facing 45 years in prison. >> he needs to stay there. >>reporter: state fishes told us that pierce set this fire in the you -- officials told us that pierce set this fire in the utility room. a man who attacked three women, killing one of them, is headed to prison p where he will spend the next 45 years. >> john pleaded guilty to the murder of laura. she was found dead along a road in deland last september. he also pleaded guilty to

could find out tomorrow if he'll get out of jail on bond. channel 9 was there for this morning's hearing, the judge heard from a number of witnesses, including the officer's wife, and steve, the judge delayed ruling to review that dash cam video from july. >>reporter: we've seen that video a lot, martha, it comes down to that video, prosecutors say is it proves that this teenage intentionally ran into this officer, but the defense attorney said that no, he didn't have enough time in the couple of seconds iss when that officer -- seconds when that officer stepped in front of the car. the wife of officer william anderson could be seen crying in court as video played during a bond hearing. then, she took the stand. >> on july 13th, 2015, our whole world changed. at 3:00 in the morning, my doorbell rang. >>reporter: she was asked to describe his on going medical issues. >> he still, to this day, as memory issue, tremendous r months throughout his body, and

and stand, severe spinal cord pain, head pain, neck pain. >>reporter: injured that day, as two bullets came through the front window of the car he was driving, he fled the scene and the car was found burned, miles away. his mother, testified today, too. >> people from the hospital are saying that they found my son in the parking lot, passed out, with two bullet wounds. >>reporter: but the judge also heard from attorneys on both sides, prosecutors testified he the officer. >> he intentionally struck the officer in an attempt and successful l attempt to get away from the traffic stop. >> his attorney says that that cannot be proven by the video. >> in a matter of one, two seconds and whether or not he even saw the officer in front of him would be questionable in a short period of time. >>reporter: so, obviously, the judge is giving this some serious consideration. we expected a decision on

off the median, right into traffic. that happened on december 27th and officials at orlando regional medical center still don't know who he is. >> we're asking for the public's help, and any information that they can provide. he is unconscious and is unable to provide us with any information. >>reporter: the man appears to be asian or his pan, in his mid to late 20s, 144 pounds, and has short, spike ki hair, and a goatee. all we can release is this description, because taking a photo of him would be illegal. >> federal privacy law, without having a patient's permission, you can't issue a photo. and he's unable to grant us his permission. >>reporter: no one we spoke to recognizes the man's description. to see if he had any details that could help identify the man. but no one came to the door. police have taken the man's

drones to track coyotes in indian harbor beach. the city wants them humanely captured and can moved away from police and park. and brevard county reporter melanie holt got a look at this technology that the trappers are using to get the job done. >>reporter: these drones are allowing trappers to navigate areas of these woods, they otherwise could not. >> we're going high-tech red neck here. >>reporter: eyewitness news was in the park when the drone took flight in an effort to locate what they believe to be a pair of coyotes. the city of indian harbor beach has been on coyote alert since new year's day when home surveillance video surfaced of a coyote chasing a cat. that cat is missing. but while small cats may fall prey, the animals rarely pose a risk to people. especially adults. but trapper leo cross says it's best to f the animals don -- if the animals don't become too comfortable around humans,

>> a home for a coyote, you know, like that lake was no home for that bull shark. >>reporter: this is the same park were trappers were call in 2014, to net a bull shark. they are hoping that technology gives them an edge that they didn't have before. in addition to the drone, they have set up unmanned trail cameras. >> we're looking for the dens, even if we might see one moving. you know? and it's easy to cover a lot more area. >>reporter: cross called on the expertise of ezekiel technologies, which donated the use of the drones. james dean is assisting with the extra traps frnth it's a tricky situation, they're kind of hard to catch any way, but i have caught them before. >>reporter: if those coyote traps are empty, midweek, the trappers will have another drone with infrared sensors.

flagler and marion county, now of course, there's this obvious area right here, they don't break it up by section s is of the county, but northern sections is of lake county, northwestern volusia, the colder pockets, you know who you are if you've been here for many years, these colder pockets work so we'll be watching this trend overnight tonight. but for marion county, at least four hours of a freeze starting around 3-3:30 in the morning. bring the pets indoors, we stress that during the cold times of the year. the freeze warning to the north, areas of frost, though, farther to the south. you don't actually have to have 32 degrees on your thermometer to get frost to form. we know from experience, 38 degrees before, with frost on the windshield. so it certainly happens here. we'll get patchy frost north of claremont tonight as the temperatures drop to the upper 30s. brevard county, upper 40s to low 50s.

with the 20s up in marion county, 29 ocala. 37 leesburg and 40-41 in orlando and warming up from there, just a little bit warmer than the 60 that we topped out today. that 63-64, so still a rather wintery kind of a day. the average high right at 70. we'll keep it fly through tomorrow. future track has a lot of sunshine, wednesday, more clouds and by thursday night into friday, we'll start watching this storm system developing in the gulf of mexico. this is el nino's play book, these lows get in the gulf of mexico, there's a lot of wind sheer, we had the first tornado of the el nino season in florida, in cape coral in southwest floor, a high end ef-2. 130-plus mile an hour. late thursday and friday, we don't know who our severe weather threat will be or won't be. but something we'll be watching. make sure you have the severe weather center 9 app, already downloaded and wour weather

lake effect county is making upgrades to the 911 system, and if their plans work out, it would mean help is a call, text video aware. county officials say it could make the difference in keeping emergency responders safe. how that system will work, and how soon it will be up and running. >> 911, police, fire ambulance. >>reporter: right now, when there is an emergency in lake county, the only way is to call 911 and explain what is going on. and talking may not be an option and lake county is working on getting a system in place that allows you to get help without saying a word. >> a great instance would be someone caught in a house with a perpetrator where they couldn't speak, they were in a closet and they could text to the 911 center and actually send information.

equipment at the lake county emergency communications and operations center is old and obsolete, but with help from a more than $100,000 state grant, officials will be able to put systems in place that will eventually allow people who need help to not only text, but to take pictures, and video or even skype and face time with 911 dispatchers, so callers can tell them what's happening, and show them as well. so when emergency responders arrive at their location, they'll know what to expect. >> it could be very valuable to the citizens and provide a level of safety. >>reporter: people we talked to think the upgrades will definitely make the county safer. >> it's not a bad idea. >> that would make a lot of sense if you're trying to be quiet. >>reporter: channel 9, eyewitness news. congressman allen grayson wants to change the constitution. why he says it's the only way to make sure voting is fair for everyone. >> vandals shot out windows at a dozen downtown orlando
