tonight. a teenager accused of killing his little sister. he says he was frustrated and killed her. he says it was an accident. >> reporter: there was sufficient probable cause the teen should be charged with second-degree murder, which is a felony. the warrant didn't explain why. so we went to the bravard county police station. he said he hit his little sister, and she fell over. she died. the teen has been caring for the child often, so he then went to visit the parents' mobile home.

as he left the orange county jail. he then took off running to an awaiting car. there were ordered for him not to get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. the three-year-old escaped with minor injuries. gibson hit the boy as he and his 16-year-old brother were there while the boy was getting ice cream. daniel's mom tells us that her son is sore, but he's doing fine.

moore told police she was trying to delete evidence from her daughter's phone. somehow, the pass code was reset while she was out on bond. a man accused of killing his wife and two children is in jail. they tend to seek the death penalty. florida's death penalty is un unconstitutional. we'll let you know what happens. today, construction of the new soccer stadium is underway. it's supposed to be ready in september. they will continue to play in this season until the start of the 2017 season.

major college tournament. employees at a local daycare will be retrained after a four-year-old autistic boy was left in a van for three hours. they never brought him inside. the driver did not see the child asleep in the backseat. >> it's a mom's worst fear, and i don't want it to happen to my kid. >> that child was only in the van for an hour. that driver has been suspended. >> following a hold-up, there was a surprising turn. it happened at a chevron station.

demanded cash at gunpoint. the owner pulled a gun of his own and didn't hesitate to pull the trigger himself. the driver of the get away car is the third suspect arrested. they are all facing robbery charges tonight. police are still working to track down a man that ran up to an elderly woman and attacked her. she was walking her dog, and a stranger ran up to her and knocked her in the head and took her purse.

it's a story we've been telling you about for weeks. the danger of hoverboards. a fire was sparked in a family's home. it was in the bedroom when it was charging where it exploded. neighbors helped douse the fire with water. this is the first time they have plugged it into the charger. hoverboards are now banned at colleges. the agencies told us today it is now investigating 34 cases in 19 states.
