a seminole county women in critical condition this afternoon while investigators worked to figure out how she was mauled by 5 dogs. another woman and 2 boys during the attack were there suffering minor injuries yes we have a following the developments is just afternoon and stanford's tobruk apartments. seminole county reporter tim barber is live at the police department. there are a lot of questions about this bit he spoke with investigators. what did they say? >> reporter: they told us here in front of the police department within the last 5 minutes that at last check the woman was in critical condition. we know 6 dogs were involved 5

fire started around 2:00 this morning. we learned someone driving through the conway area neighborhood spotted smoke in the air and called 911. on firefighters got to the home, they say the people inside did not even know there was a fire out back. >> i woke the family up and they said that was potentially someone in the shed. >> reporter: battalion chief described it shed as more of a workshop about 1000 ft.2 with lots of woodworking tools. he says it was fully engulfed in flames and when cruz got the fire knocked down they found preston's body. >> the wife said he normally is out there late at night doing stuff in the shed. we are not sure what happened or the cause of the fire. >> reporter: we confirmed fire crews found a space heater in the shed so we are asking about the role that may have played in the deadly fire. we are asking how preston was not able to get out of the shed in time to get to safety for eyewitness news at 4. live in
