apartments and one woman is still in the hospital fighting for her life. tim barber is at the police department and investigators still do not know what to vote the vicious attack. >> reporter: this - - a key witness is still in investigations. the officer heard the barking before he saw the blood. >> all i could do was pray for the family. it was sad. >> reporter: she used to blue - - live next to the docks and she said they lived in crates and when they got out, they were aggressive. >> they sat there howling and crying all of the time. >> reporter: a police report backs those reports up. a sanford report shows the same people were living in another apartment in fort sanctifies for 17 when one of the residents hit the dogs and provoked an attack.

>> the backup officer wrote the report days later, never mentioning the chase or when or why the jeep caught their attention. he and the officer drove it back to the city because of possibly multiple armed assailants in the immediate area. he wrote they found a gun in it but later wrote it was fake. officers are also to alert other agencies when a chase leaves the city limits. officers are still on patrol. >> we are waiting for the results of an autopsy performed on human remains in lake county on monday. 50s began searching the house after a well-being check showed that dennis jones was not home. they had not seen the man for at least a month. they have not identified the remains just yet. a major section of the parkway opened today. they were joined by state

concessions. a community is concerned after coyotes have been spotted in their neighborhoods and folks are concerned for small pets. one neighbor took this picture after spotting a coyote. at first they thought it was a german shepherd and quickly realized it was not. they said coyotes rarely pose a risk but pray on small dogs, cats, and livestock. we actually have one where i live on the golf course just hanging out and you can hear them howling at night. >> you don't want to leave your dogs outside at night. a beautiful sunset. high clouds are drifting in, one of the reasons we've got that blanket of clouds. it will keep us warmer tonight. we are down to the 50s in palm coast. melbourne is typically warmer

we are in the 50s in the villages. >> there it is, that stream of cloud cover associated with the jet stream. the next storm system is developing 1500 miles away and it will bring us storms in central florida friday and it will also be responsible for all of that snow you are likely seeing for your friends up in dc. and in lake cherokee and lake davis, we are in the 50s all evening. it will be cold and down to 40 by 6:00 in the morning. we'll see patchy frost by the morning. cocoa beach is more mild, in the 50s all night. we don't even fall into the 40s in cocoa beach. you can see we have cold temperatures by morning.
