we are following breaking news in matlen where the jewish academy of orlando has been evacuated because of a bomb threat. it was called into the school this morning i matlen avenue. >> 700 students attend the school and parents are given the option to pickup is students at this point. than age broom is nearby where parents are being told to go. what can you tell us? >> reporter: martie, weeks seen a lot of parents showing up to pickup kids and this is the calmest we've seen it in the last 30 minutes. 30 minutes ago the entire street was packed and you can see maitland police officers are here directing parents and to get their kids. we saw several hundred -- students and staff member from

community center walking 10 minutes to get here. workers pushing crips with babies in a rush to evacuate maitland police a around 10 am someone at the jewish academy reportedly got a call from a man claiming a bomb was on the campus and he wanted to hurt as many children as possible. the person described the caller's voice as sounding robotic like he may have been using a device to disguise his voice and at this point detectives do not have any other investment -- information about the quality the bomb sniffing dog from seminole county sheriff's office is being brought in to sweep the buildings and make sure there are not any explosive devices and until it happens, those buildings are staying evacuated. i spoke with a dad who says he found out from our wftv website that his daughters a school was being evacuated because he had not gotten the text alert from the school yet . >> it was pretty scary. did not get the text message until we were almost here already.

county building where homeless people are camped out. we have been following the problem and daytona beach for weeks. and there may be a possible solution of the word spirit channel 9 shannon butler spoke with a volusia county commissioner about the solution. he admitted there were failures. >> reporter: yes, he said the county leaders and city leaders will vote -- both felt the sitting outside of the building but also the people of daytona beach but at this hour, right now, he is working on a solution to keep this county building open. as you remember the property appraiser shot his office down citing safety concerns after he says one of his employees was accosted. the entire building is expected to be shut down by the county on friday. county commissioner joshua walker asked the county manager that if there was a place for these homeless folks to go right now, could they keep the building from closing at the end of the week.

joshua walker says they need to move these folks to a piece of land on north street. right now, he is calling the city council members and asking them because they are the ones that have to do it. how absurd this looks to the public? >> absolutely it's ridiculous and sad. >> we look like a bunch of little kids. >> reporter: it will be up to the city because these folks need to be bust over to that piece of land the contract has been worked out and the city manager and county said they did not want to do it because he quote wanted to do things his own way. the homeless for now will stay put here and they will not be trespass. we spoke with the police chief who says he was not going to trespass the folks would not touch the issue at all.

u.s. marshals are still looking for natasha quigley and gary bullock junior, still on the run with that 3-year-old boy on friday reported quickly picked up bullock from this hotel where he was working as part of a prison work release program. the u.s. marshals are involved casting a wider net in the search we could lead us to believe the couple is outside of volusia county maybe outside of florida officials with the sheriff's office will not say that the 3-year-old is in danger there has not been an amber alert because the 3-year- old is with his mother quigley who has legal custody of the child. investigators say bullock was working at the present work release program and he got out of prison but he left and said quigley helped him . authorities were notified when bullock cut off his gps monitor. the couple's dole a gun, gash and blank checks from quigley , her parents home.

firefighters and medic ready just in case there is some sort of problem but they did have 4 bomb sniffing dogs in the school and the community center in this area. this was called in as a threat this morning. someone using a robotic voice and a private phone number calling in saying they had some sort of bomb threat and they wanted to do as much damage as possible. and hurt as many students as possible. they evacuated the area makeup students out of here and they ended up evacuating the rest of the building. the community center and everything else and museum in the area while they brought in these bomb sniffing dogs. the students were taking -- taken to nearby lake civilian elementary school where parents were picking them up. just a short time ago. we see the bomb sniffing dogs are back here in this area and it appears we have seen at least 3 of them and we do not know if the 4th one is working

continuing to follow breaking news in brevard county right now. we told you about this earlier in the newscast. skywitness 9 is live over pineapple avenue in mims where there is a heavy deputy response in the neighborhood channel 9 melonie holt arrived on ground. what have you been able to find out? >> reporter: it is roped off we have seen investigators walking through the woods in the area and you can probably get a better idea from skywitness 9 exactly what is going on on the ground. we have heard unconfirmed reports that there may be as many as to deputies that were injured in an incident in this neighborhood earlier today. again, we have no confirmation from the sheriff's office at this point. we're still trying to find out exactly why they were originally here in the neighborhood to begin with.
