rain on e south side of interstate 4. we are not finished with rain just yet. and a cold front comes tomorrow. troopers can hardly keep up with the accidents during the rain. and there were 100 crashes between 9:00 and midnight. at one point there were twice as many accidents as there were troopers to respond. and one driver was killed when he lost control and hit a tanker truck head-on. >> we know we are going to be busy investigating crashes. they all seem to happen at once, a lot of them during the morning rush hour. >> in one intersection there were two crashes within a number of hours. one of them involved in suv pushed into a semi. we are monitoring the

and at 4:00 we told you four people were arrested overnight in daytona beach. since then our reporter asked the city commissioner if anyone is going to step up and take charge. but he did not give much of an answer. >> more finger-pointing between the city and the county and more and more homeless are gathered. i found out they wanted temporary shelter in place and they did not want a tent city out here but this is exactly what they got. for people were arrested in the academy last night and it's another sign that this dangerous. i spoke with patrick henry who was still county period. >> . >> reporter: how long is the city going to let this go on?

a video paints a chilling picture of what happened the night a work - - and orlando woman was killed and her security guard was charged with her murder. this video shows how trusting she was of her accused killer. >> reporter: orlando police say he tried to mislead them, them, but video shows him following her through the building soon after she got here after 1:30 last october. we just got video today showing her walking around the building with her accused killer without her. the security video from uptown shows she was unsteady on her feet as she walked out to the parking garage with someone she thought she could trust, security guard stephen duxbury. he sounds like he is chuckling

being said. the video shows them walk out to the parking garage for half of a minute and then they walked back in. her expression appears to be a lack - - relaxed. he has no expression. and detectives show more video of them walking through stairwells for five minutes later and she appears to be bumping into the wall. and a timestamp video around 1:30 in the morning shows the 27-year-old wearing the same white pants and looking unsteady on her feet as she walked alone through downtown after spending time with friends at a downtown bar period he betrayed her put - - trust and took advantage of her vulnerability and when she finally made it to her apartment, he followed her in and raped and murdered her. then they say he tried to cover it up by destroying evidence and lying. but detectives found his thumbprints and shoe prints in her apartment and they also found his dna.

story since friday when authorities say he cut off his ankle monitor and walked away from his job in daytona beach. debbie's believe his girlfriend was the driver and is on the run along with her 3-year-old son, xander. twin brothers who guns down a man two years ago will spend the kids behind bars. and one of the brothers was sentenced to life in prison and his twin has negotiated a plea deal and will spend - - spend 40 years in jail. janine, the victim's family says they forgive the brothers. >> reporter: the victims mom gave an emotional and soft- spoken statement in court today after the twins that he was guilty. his mother told the court this afternoon she forgives him for

of 2014. according to police, before he died, the victim told his friend he robbed one of the twins a week earlier when they spotted him vase and when they spotted him, they made a u-turn and opened fire, sending bullets into this van and killing davis. >> i was driving down 436 in altamonte springs and appear of men were running across of the divorce across the street. and responded immediately. during the chase, they crashed. police arrested them both moments after the shooting. manwell rodriguez went to court. the jury gave him life in prison. he was smiling as he was given life in prison. prosecutors will give him the death penalty. the victim's mother hopes the twins who killed her son use

the impact to the family. the victim in this case did have a history of drug arrests. a pair of deputies are still recovering after being attacked during a domestic call yesterday. deputy marie skinner was treated and released. melanie holt was at the jail where the suspect is being held without bond. to the radio transmissions from that confrontation. >> reporter: what is clear is that things escalated quickly. he was given - - we were given a better idea of how quickly events unfolded yesterday. >> we are going to force andrea into the backyard. >> reporter: they released the

already bonded out on a charge of resisting without violence. investigators are trying to find out how a driver involved in a crash with an exploding toccata airbag died yesterday. the airbag explodes it can shoot out middle flag - - fragments. this person is the 11th to die because of these airbags period . the cause of death is unclear. and orlando woman was killed in 2014 because of the airbags. tonight police are continuing efforts to find a missing man who was last seen on the 16th leaving his home near ponce trail. his family says he has asperger's syndrome. if you have seen him, you are

the future track keeps a lot of heavy rain to the south, with on and off light showers tonight, one of those gloomy evenings with some patchy fog. we will start to see a cold front back to the north into the west. we will start with cloud cover in the morning and temperatures mainly in the 60s. we won't see much in the way of severe weather across the state. that front slides on by and we will get scattered rain early in the day. by 5:00 in the morning we are going to see sunshine about ready to peek over the horizon. the future track issuing additional rainfall here in the green and you can see the high rainfall amounts matchup with what is going on right now. even up to another inch and a quarter in brevard county and melbourne. isolated short - - sure - - showers with those in the 60s and heavier rainfall down south.

the northern part of the county it is growing the fastest and it is putting a strain on existing schools. this field will soon be home to a new high school and it will make wrote - - home to new residence. >> i lived in new jersey for 20 years. with new homes popping up the new school probably won't solve the problem. they will need $117 billion for additional schools and an expanded high school over the next five years. each new house generates additional revenue but they say it is not enough to cover the cost of new schools. >> anything that we get from the state would be a great help to us. >> reporter: they don't provide money for new construction. and leaders are working with lawmakers to reestablish a special grant program.
