we are asking what took so long for this video to be released and we will have that part of the story at 5:00. live in marion county myrt price, channel 9 eyewitness news this afternoon we hearing from orange county tennis forced out but again dangerous gas leak we brought it as breaking news this morning when someone's mistake in a complex up walden circle landed several in the hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning. julie salomone is there now. residents want answers. >> reporter: and i'm still waiting on answers from the condo complex. if you look behind me, the yellow building you can see is the one evacuated. the fire department tells me on days like today where it is raining, it is harder to air out the units and get the carbon monoxide out of them. they were going to give 12 hours before they let anyone back into the building. a family of 4 showed up a doctor phillips hospital

hospital staff realized they had carbon monoxide poisoning and alerted the fire department. >> carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless and has no indication that it is in the apartment unless you have a detector which will alert you to it. >> reporter: when orlando firefighters showed up at the families complex on walden circle, they found 6 more people feeling sick. 2 working to orlando regional medical center. 4 were treated on scene. the cause was a generator used to renovate an apartment which was brought inside of learners -- first-floor unit. >> they are not airtight so the carbon monoxide can move through walls and drywall and affect multiple apartments. >> reporter: we spoke with a man who lives in the building was evacuated and he did not want to show his face but said he did not get any answers for management at walden pond scum and anime spirit he is glad firefighters -- walden palm condominiums. >> is glad they will come up. >> we woke up to bangs on the door and it was the fire department trying to evacuate everybody. >> reporter: i reached out to the condo complex by phone and email and they refused to comment on the story.

mother's frantic 911 call after learning a stranger was looking injured teenage daughter's bedroom window yet steve barrett told you last week when this man was arrested after police say they spotted him outside the families audubon park home and today steve, he listened to the 911 call that described the scary encounter. >> yes, we have been having someone in the backyard and now they are at my daughter's bedroom window. >> reporter: of the call came in last thursday around 10 pm an 18-year-old girl hid under her sheets as dominic brace allegedly stared in her bedroom window yet he is watching her. she is on the other from. >> reporter: he -- she called her mom but did not move. mom called 911. >> staring at my daughter who is laying in her bed and she can see him looking in the bedroom window at her. >> reporter: this teenage victim's mother does not want to be identified so she didn't -- he talked to be on camera but she did tell me that the peeping tom walked behind bushes and then used a wall to walk over a fence and climbed onto an air-conditioning unit

this team burglar pleaded guilty to his role in a violent home burglary that left a pregnant woman severely injured and cost him his mobility. >> unfortunately for him, the owner of that house is able to protect himself. >> what his mother asked for -- in court today. >> he was shot in the neck acts as you can see he is confined to a wheelchair and will be for the rest of his life. today his attorney and family said there's little more the court can do to further punished the defendant pay brevard county reporter melanie holt was in court today when the the defendant's mother asked that she be allowed to care for him at home but that is not what prosecutors or the victims want. >> reporter: they want a minimum sentence of 20 years but whether or not this defendant is combined to his home or a prison cell, we are told the cost to care for him will be astronomical. at the jail he is under 24 hour observation. his condition has left him prone to cardiac arrest and

to a stroke . confined to his wheelchair, 19-year-old joshua lamb accepted responsibility for the armed burglary that seriously injured a pregnant woman and left him a quadriplegic. >> i never planned on having a shoot out or anything like that. i didn't think anybody would be home. i thought it would be an in and out and i would do it and put it behind me. >> reporter: lamb and his victims will not be able to put what happened on september 5 what happened on september 5, 2015 behind them. thomas sullivan his family returned to his home to find an open door and investigators say when owens heard a crash, he ran to his car to retrieve the gun . he told police when he returned, 2 armed men were holding guns on his sister and niece. he said he could not remember who fired first asked my niece will have to deal with her situation the rest of her life. her baby had to be helped through the birth just to make sure that it was safe was lamb faces a minimum mandatory of 20 years unless a choose -- judge
