>> i said was the baby alive and she said the baby was alive. >> in the last two hours police hauled away those two dumpsters. >> investigators said there's no sign of the baby but they will look through the dumpsters for any evidence. we were out with police all day today as they searched the willow bend apartment complex. we have been in contact with the mother's boyfriend and dcf. jeff deal is live. the mother's boyfriend told you this bomb shell that they already planned do give willow away to another family member. >> reporter: he said that they already planned on giving her away to one of his former girlfriends. of course, now baby willow is missing and he really has no explanation of what could have happened to her after his girlfriend dropped her over here.

freaked out and left the baby on a porch of a random apartment in this complex. >> as orlando police spent the day searching for any sign of an abandoned newborn baby we saw the boyfriend of the mother talking to investigators. >> they wanted to know if she had a cell phone and did i know. >> johnnie bryant said she's worried sick about the baby that police are calling baby willow since she was born near the willow bend apartments. evidence of the childbirth was found in the parking lot monday but the baby has not been found. >> i want to know where is the baby at. >> so do investigators. we saw them hauling away a dumpster saying it was part of a more thorough search. richardson stretched like she had to yawn. she's facing child neglect and abandonment charges. >> police say she didn't seem

johnnie bryant said she can't understand why she would discard the child since they planned to give her away to one of his former girlfriends who wanted the baby. >> i was going to give the child to my second older son's mama. that's why i'm wondering why she did what she did. >> reporter: investigators say richardson initially lied and said she didn't know anything about the placenta found in this parking lot but when told they were doing dna testing she admitted it was from her body. her boyfriend said he thinks that she must have just given the baby away to someone else but no one seems to know. jeff deal, channel 9, eyewitness news. >> now, that same boyfriend of baby willow's mother dropped another bomb shell today telling jeanine reyes that he and baby willows mother have given away children before. she continues our team coverage tonight. he described it as giving away a litter of kittens or puppies.

you i've never heard a parent describe their children the way he did to me just a short time ago. he said they gave the boy away to one family member and the girl away to another. we do not know their names. now, he does have custody of the couple's 7-year-old child. they live here in this home. he told us and neighbors agree that he takes good care of that child. again, those two younger birth. >> do you see them? >> yeah. >> do you play a role? >> yeah, we see them. yes, yes, yes. yes. that's all. >> johnnie bryant show ed ed us a foe -- showed us a photo of three children he fathered with richardson. >> i told them that i could not keep three children or two children. i couldn't do it. >> he placed his 4 -year-old

his 5-year-old son with susan's sister. dcf just joined the investigation on day three of the search for baby willow. bryant believes they will check on the daughter he's been raising since infancy. >> i dress her, take her to church. >> they had k-9s and handguns drawn in 2014. he grabbed his 3-year-old daughter placed her on his chest. they charged him with kidnapping. >> they charged you with kidnapping for utilizing his daughter as a shield. >> he said he was keeping her safe from police activity outside his home. bryant said he is a good dad to his daughter and susan is no killer er. >> do you think she's a threat to your children? >> no, she's not a threat to the children. >> reporter: bryant told us each time susan was arrested

out the living conditions here for his 7-year-old daughter. again, dcf confirming late this afternoon that they have now opened an investigation. they tell us this only way they can open an investigation is if police reach out to them or someone places a call about concern for those children. live in orlando, jeanine reyes, channel 9, eyewitness news. >> this is one confusing story. right now we're get ing ting a better look at breaking news from sky witness 9 in osceola county where there's a bad crash and it has part of i-4 shut down at world center drive in kissimmee. this is near the attractions in the westbound lanes. you can see a pick up truck, you might be able to figure it out, on top of a red car. it's a bad crash. investigators just told us at least one person was rush today -- rushed to a hospital. there's breaking news right now. mosquito control efforts will be stepped up in brevard county now that central florida's second case of zika virus has popped up there.

about how to safeguard our students. >> in the past 12 months 13 bcu students have been shot, some fatally. officials want to create more opportunities for students to have parties on campus and ban non-students. they haven't said when that plan might come to fruition. osceola county detectives are investigating a disturbing incident in poinciana. this morning a 19-year-old was walking on palm bay drive when a driver pulled up next to her and didn't say anything but the woman said he was inappropriately touching himself. an orange county doctor who ran an illegal pain clinic was given the orange county to keep practices. john archanuhu was accused of prescribing hundreds of thousands of painkillers. prosecutors abandoned the case siting key witness problems. he pleaded not guilty to another charge. the doctor's son told us his dad is tieing to practice again.

police and city leaders still need residents to open up about crime so they can close unsolved murder cases like the one at this scene. police say they're looking for leads in at least seven unsolved murders from the past 6 years. one city commissioner said she blames prosecutors. >> stop the silence. stop the violence. >> commission er velma williams said the problem is not only the number of people killed in the community but the number of people unwilling to come forward with vital information that could give their neighbors closure. >> someone knows what happened to my son and who murdered him and everything. >> carlton edge is the commissioner's brother and father of dennis williams who have shot dead in february of 2010. his family has never gotten closure even though police say they have an idea who could be responsible.

come forward. in sanford, jenay norman. >> investigators would not go into details say they can only make sure witnesses are not injured. there's a stop the silence campaign and unity day scheduled for this saturday at the sanford police department. florida lawmakers are moving forward with a potential fix to the death system system. under the proposal all future death penalty cases would require 10 out of 12 jurors to vote for death. if three or more object the defendant would get life in prison. past cases would not be impacted. the bill still needs the full approval of the legislature. right now in orange county the county's landfill manager is explaining the latest efforts to stop the sting that's been driving through neighborhoods for months now. tonight's public meeting is reviewing an odor management plan put

new for 6:00, residents in osceola county will be waiting longer than expected for sun rail. >> the commuter train is already having problems getting passengers and now channel 9's michael la party found out it may not roll into kis mee into 2018. >> reporter: they want to know what sun rail is going to get more people down to the track. >> we hit the streets in

reason to come down here. >> sun rail said equipment for the osceola expansion is arriving now but the future of the deland leg is still up in the air. >> reporter: the federal government is picking up the cost for about half of the project. that means the osceola route needs to be finished no later than 2019. michael la party, channel 9, eyewitness news. after nearly a month of waiting the central florida winners of the largest powerball jackpot in history claim their prize. we were there in tallahassee. there they are. that melbourne beach couple received one big, big check. 55-year-old david smith and his wife, maureen said they bought the ticket near their home. david said he couldn't believe they won. >> we just watching tv and going online and rechecking and rechecking. >> then they announced the publix in melbourne beach. we said, this is the real deal.

maureen and david walked away with that lump sum of almost $328 million. that's a lot of money. as what to buy, david wants a new car and maureen wants a massage. members of florida's legislative black caucus are urging state lawmakers to pass a bill to put fewer lawbreakers behind bars. they would offer more citations to teens instead of arrests them. supporters say juveniles with records have a hard time getting a job. now covering news county by county. the city of orlando is making it easier for spanish speakers to open businesses. they just offered a spanish version of the digital permitting site. that's where you go if you need information about zoning regulations or cost estimates or incentive programs. the city has a version of the government page and facebook page in spanish.

transgender woman said she wants to use her case of discrimination to make a difference. rachel wiggins said she was fired from her security enforcement officer job as she was becoming a woman back in 2013. the federal government found wiggins was discriminated against on the basis of her sex. before she was fired she said the company advanced tactical security tried to hide her from the public eye. >> it's almost like someone dying. you're very angry, sad. the anger set in to the point to where i said i need to do something about this. >> wiggins has filed a lawsuit. we went to the security company but it was closed and called be but the numbers were disconnected. george zimmerman's former girlfriend is sharing her story tonight of revenge porn. critics say she put herself in the situation for sending him the photos and dating a man with a marked past.

2 degrees right now with a west, northwest breeze at 6 miles per hour. 75 the high today. cooler along the beaches. we have cooler waters in the upper 50s. up welling going on here. normally we're in the 60s in the wintertime occasional dropping into the 50s. some colder water from below to up well. either way very nice temperature wise. seasonal temperatures for metro areas. upper 40s over the interior tomorrow morning. we'll see patchy fog again tomorrow with temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50. winter springing high school 72 tomorrow. 70 degrees in february at the zoo. we're on the nicer side. 65 in daytona. they start racing tomorrow night. we'll continue to look for some nicer weather for the upcoming weekend.
