rolling as volusia county deputies came out of this wooded area along international speedway boulevard near daytona beach. investigators told us a surveyor doing site work just before 1:00 discovered a piece of what appears to be a human skull. now deputies are searching for other bones. investigators said they have been here for a while. >> we wanted to know if they were connected to a mom killed with two children earlier. or from four women kill in a serial killer. >> this is one of those things where obviously the remains have been out there for some time. it could be a case like that. >> here's a look at some of the conditions in this swampy area. you can see this is some of the water that deputies have been going through for the last several hours. now we asked if

homeless camps. they told us no because of swampy conditions like this. so we are going to continue to ask whether finding these human remains is suspicious and connected to other cases in volusia county. >> ty russell, channel 9, eyewitness news. we're following breaking news that could effect your drive home tonight in orange county. part of colonial drive part of highway 50 is shut down in both directions because of a serious crash near the 520 interchange. orange county fire rescue said some people were trap in the wreckage. three people were rushed to the hospital, one by helicopter. no word on what caused the crash. police are not saying why they arrested these two men in their 20s at an orlando night includes.

neighbors say every day she would walk from her home right through the middle of this apartment complex on her way to a local 7-eleven and pass a pond that's along the way. >> with crews sending a camera underground and into sewers looking for signing of missing newborn baby willow and following a search effort yesterday there's still questions about what her mother, susan richardson did tuesday morning. >> they wanted to know did she have a cell phone and asked me about did i hear about a woman that she went to her house. >> her boyfriend, johnnie bryant said he believes richardson was with another friends and heard she may have been with a woman driving a gray lincoln before heading home to have the baby. police is not said if they're looking for a gray car or if they believe anyone else is connected to the

pieces to find out who was driving. we first told you about the crash that killed 39-year-old jason rodiger earlier this week. it was run down during a morning jog on satellite boulevard. a tip led fhp to the suspect vehicle and the agency has been in contact with the owner's attorney. tonight the board of harbor house cut ties with carol wick without explanation. it happened this morning after the executive committee had given wick a head's up and wick released a statement saying it was not her idea to leave but she said proud of the work she's done over the past 10 years. the board said it will name an interim ceo soon and is starting a nationwide search for wick's replacement. a local doctor was arrested accused of raping a young girl 20 years ago. steven summerville is in jail on bond tonight. investigators say the victim came forward in 2013. tim barber is live at the

investigators say the victim has been going back and forth about whether or not to follow through. >> reporter: she decided to press charges last week and that's all deputies needed. he works right here in the building. we couldn't help but notice that a pediatrician works next week. >> investigators say steven summerville has been keeping a secret for 20 years and this week it finally landed him in jail. >> oh, my goodness. i don't believe it. not any neighbor. >> evan bell lives next door to summerville and summerville's wife. >> i see him with his grandson, his dog. >> seminole county deputies arrested summerville because he raped a girl younger than 12 over the course of several years in their jurisdiction starting back in 1995. he's accused of giving her alcohol and pills. >> the alleged victim came forward 3 years ago but did not

>> had this young lady not come forward the state had nothing on which to base a prosecution. >> bill sheaffer said florida does not have a statute of limitations for first degree felony sexual battery when the victim is a child. >> they want to make sure that if a young person was the victim of sexual battery that they get their day in court once they become an adult. >> this afternoon a judge gave summerville a $30,000 bond. summerville's attorney argued his client is not a flight risk. >> he owns a practice and a home. >> investigators say they don't have any evidence that suggests summerville has other victims but if there are they encourage them to come forward. >> reporter: summerville is being ordered to stay away from the victim and any kids without any supervision or without supervision rather. his arraignment is on april 12th. reporting live in orange county, tim barber, channel 9, eyewitness news. florida officially has 24 zika virus cases. the latest

residents in one brevard county community said they're tired of dealing with toxic water. >> it's so bad they are forced to rely on bottled water and showers can cause problems. angela jacobs found out a fix for the nearly 300 residents could be another year away. >> when david ragel moved into west canavral grove clean water was in the there. >> the washing machine water started turning brown. >> he invested thousands creating a small water plant in his backyard. down the street it's all over for lynn bekt. >> this filter goes through the water softener to remove iron and sulphur. >> we first spoke to him about the issues back in 2014. he told us he's focusing on the light at the end of the tunnel and tapping into city water. >> would i like to see a water bill?

wftv.com and click on the video tab. the driver who caused a crash that killed three utility workers in lake county will not face criminal charges. in april we told you a 92-year-old ira caldwell pulled out in front of another car causing the crash. the man was not drinking or driving illegally. some deltona residents are happy that an eyesore is being demolished on their street. four years ago a fire destroyed this home on north covington drive and then went into foreclosure. today crews started tearing it down as part of the beautify plan. this is just one of many homes they plan to demolish. >> it's making your neighborhood more beautiful but it's safe for the residents. >> city leaders collect fines and fees from a lender if it becomes an eyesore and that's the money they use to demolish the homes.

county, in orange county a new effort to clean up a historic cemetery has stalled before starting. the organizer wants to clear brush and debris off the 88 graves in rural apopka. she said the property has not been maintained in years. she can't clean up without permission from the cemetery's owner. she said she's reached it and has never heard back. >> they said, well, you just got to get permission from the landowner. we can't do nothing. >> eyewitness news asked the county if it could step in. cold enforcement replied that it would probably never site a cemetery or impose cleaning costs. in lake county residents have a chance to apply for or renew a concealed weapon license. the orange county tax collector began accepting applications. this makes it the 22nd in the state to offer that service. there's now 30 locations in florida to apply for it. if you have plans to hit

in clermont in the small craft advisories are out. we'll have rough surf along the coast and a moderate risk for rip currents. water temperatures cool. speaking of the water, here comes the clouds developing offshore. this wind switch will our future track model showing some sprinkle activity on the map. very dry. if you take all the moisture and condensed it down to a half inch of rain usually that's not enough to get much in the way of clouds to develop rain showers. we'll keep clouds in our forecast with that on shore breeze but more sunshine as we start the weekend. look at saturday, a mix of clouds after sun. daytime highs back in the mid to upper 70s. temperatures near 80 monday and tuesday. we'll keep over night lows in the 50s. our next best
