on india street on merritt island fear they are the focus of this death investigation. last night the entire area was blocked off as investigators converged on a single home but so far the sheriff's office has not released any information about exactly who they found inside of the residence and what may have happened to them. >> traumatizing. just totally traumatizing. you cannot believe it. they would never believe it in 1 million years that something like that would happen. >> reporter: we are expecting an update from the sheriff's office later this afternoon. we will let you know exactly what investigators have to say. live on merritt island, melonie holt channel 9 eyewitness news. new at noon, congressman alan grayson once a judge to reimburse them for almost $10,000 in legal fees for filing a frivolous appeal in their divorce case. she appealed the ruling that she and the congressman because she never divorced her first term -- husband.

team. you can see them here. we have been watching them throughout the morning. you can see them making their way through the muck and shallow water and what appears to be a great pattern making this pond. >> this is the latest effort in the search for baby willow. crews working to drain water out of the pond this weekend so these guys can get in and search the bottom of the pond on foot and with sticks. the dive team was out here luck. this pond is one the neighbors say is along the road with the baby's mother, susan richardson, was known to walk every day on her way to the seven11. richardson gave birth monday near the willow bend apartments then discarded baby. the police have named hard baby willow. cooperative and remains locked up in orange county jail facing child neglect charges for police have had teams with dogs walking the neighborhoods and the city crews using robotic around the apartment complex

the uber drivers used in the fatal shooting spree in michigan is set to face a judge today. investigators will not say what set him off but we are hearing from the passengers he picked up between shootings. of the liz -- elizabeth hur has the latest. >> reporter: six people are dead. two others injured, one suspect in custody but so far, no motive. >> shots fired. one suspect now. >> reporter: according to police mayhem started before 6:00 saturday evening and residential complex period woman was shot several times and she survived. 4 hours later in a car dealership parking lot, a

killed. minutes later, outside this cracker barrel restaurant, five people were shot, 4 died including retired teacher. these victims apparently selected at random. >> this is your worst nightmare. >> reporter: hours later, the suspect uber drivers jason dalton was taken to custody without incident. police are looking into reports that dalton was working between shootings this man who asked to remain anonymous said he was one of dalton's customers during the rampage. >> i halfheartedly joked and says, you're not the shooter, are you? and he says, no and i said are you sure. and he said no, i'm just really tired. >> reporter: matt says he wrote with dalton about one hour before the first shooting. >> we were driving through the lawn, medians, speeding along and then finally once he came to a stop, i jumped out of the car and ran away. >> reporter: -- >> nothing to indicate he was a problem. >> reporter: today, police say

doctors in colorado china find a cure for a boy whose skin is turned to stone. part of their son skin was hardening after months of test doctors diagnose him with skin syndrome. there is no cure for the rare disease but jayden has gone the rounds of chemotherapy to stop the spread of the disease and it seems to be working. >> it is outrageous sounding when you say a boy turning to stone.

of misconduct. >> invested -- investigative reporter daralene jones learns this practice is nominated in districts where they believed that a waste of taxpayer money and they ask why it's not happening here. >> reporter: megan was relieved of duty from timber creek for drug possession on campus and pay $3300 for 27 working days to sit at home until she was fired. the practice of relief of duty with a cost the district $313,000 last year. 2 million in the last five years. even the union thinks it should be banned. >> is an incredible waste of money and resources person in some cases, the teacher is paid to sit at home and replaced with a substitute. substitutes costing nearly $4 million this year. $16 million last year. the district does not track how much is from a teacher placed on relief of duty. we surveyed districts across
