what is the office telling you? >> reporter: they told me that they say the numbers on the order forms that went to the printer got mixed up. and because so many people did not have a chance to vote, they have asked the governor to extend the deadline from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. and right now they are still waiting at the elections office to hear back from the governor. after we heard from several angry voters -- >> came up and they said no ballot. confidence up for sure. >> reporter: we went straight to orange county elections supervisor, bill kouls, for answers. >> why didn't anyone catch this before today? >> that's something that's gonna have to be looked into. the order was made, nobody obviously compared from the original order to the order that went to the printer. >> reporter: he told me he's not sure exactly who is but he says no one counted the

arrived at the -- ballots when locations around the county. >> what are you doing to make sure this doesn't happen again? >> my main concern is feeding ballots to precincts that need them so voters can vote today. >> reporter: i also asked what his office is doing for the voters who we talked with who told us the mistake meant they wouldn't have time to vote today. so many of them are really upset about this. >> and i have said to others that woo contacted us directly, and we have been delivering an absentee ballot to them at work or their home. >> we are less than an hour away to the 7:00 deadline when polls close here in florida. time is running out. they are still waiting to hear back from the governor's office. we are

candidates out here work the polls today. >> they have corrected that mistake. we're now using the emergency ballots. >> maybe will come back i hope. >> reporter: we've not heard yet about the polls will remain open until 8:00 pm out here. the department of elections did ask the governor for that extra hour because of the issues that voters faced earlier today . people tell me they will be out here until the very end, 7:00 or 8:00. and we'll cope you posted as soon as we hear. part of the problem that orange county had today was a big boost in voters at the ols. so far orange county -- at the polls. so far orange county officials have seen a 120% increase compared to the 2012 presidential primary.

includes absentee ballots, early, and election day bloods. votes are up 33% right now, expected to go even higher when the polls close in about an hour. analysts say tonight it's make or break for senator marco rubio. he said today his campaign will keep on going. >> reporter: that increase in voter turnout may be what with those conservative republicans here in central florida, and then north that flachlt we're in south florida where rubio is going to speak in a couple of hours. analysts don't see a road for rubio at this point with the delegate count. and if he doesn't get clinch florida, he's not going to have that momentum he needs to propel him into the

delegate count isn't high enough. >> all these polls are out of control. they're crazy. they're way out of whack. i can't guarantee a win today. we expect to win tonight but we are not 20 points behind. that's absurd. >> reporter: and there was a media blitz by the rubio campaign on radio, television, and e-mail. and he was speaking at rallies from jacksonville through orlando down to miami as a presidential nominee.

let you know what happens. 75 miles to the north, 18 points ahead in the polls, donald trump is also here in florida tonight. >> the frontrunner is going to be watching the results from his paem beach club. >> reporter: this is the second time trump has raised questions over voting in florida. he tweeted out he was hearing irregularities in voting. today more tweets from trump and his associates. he calls florida his second home. and tonight trump is banking on the sunshine state to propel him to the republican nomination. campaigning for the last several days, trump seemingly in command, set to deliver a knockout punch to marco rubio and distance himself from ted cruz. >> we're gonna turn things around.

a live look right now at city hall in lake county. there are no problems there. but we've been telling you voters in orange county have been experience something issues. there haven't been enough ballots to go around. we'll continue to keep an eye on all

a three-month vvgsz helped detectives -- investigation helped break up a burglary ring. >> jeff is live outside the sheriff's office, and you learned this may be the tip of the iceberg. >> reporter: detectives here continue to investigate. so there could be more charges filed here. but we also learned that in neighboring county, they could also be filing charges against a pair with burglary there. >> reporter: facing charges in at least 15 burglaries in the st. cloud area according to the sheriff's office. >> it hopefully will help the individuals in that neighborhood to feel at ease knowing they're in jail. >> reporter: these sketches helped put the pair behind bars. >> we were able to locate one of the individuals. he was brought into custody.

led to the second individual. >> reporter: many of those homes were targeted because of their location in a remote area where the houses set far back from the road. investigators say the thieves stole the personal items and electronics to local pawnshops. detectives sate pair would knock on the door and see who answered. if they didn't answer, they would break inside. neighbors are glad the pair were caught. a neighbor told me they're lucky someone didn't get seriously hurt. >> hope they don't come knocking on my door. >> reporter: and detectives tell me that both men have some criminal records. one for burglary out of chicago, the other out on probation when those crimes considered. police believe some

having money on social media may have made themselves targets of a home invasion, dip and crash -- kidnapping and crash. it ran a red light, collided with that nissan, and then the suspect ises took off on foot. >> whenever anybody flees a scene like this, you've got everybody else in the city or the nearby areas that are in danger of getting hurt. >> another suv came through and collided with a winter garden police cruiser. nobody was hurt. a water main break left two brevard schools without water for the day. the damage was caused by some nearby fence work work. >> drinking water will remain

safety testing. commissioners pledged their support today for the exoneration of the groveland four. commissioners presented the families with a proclamation, encouraging the governor to exonerate or pardons. the four black teenagers were wrongfully arrested and convicted of raping a white girl in 1948. the city proclamation. hundreds of dead fish are washing up on beaches in cape canavel and cocoa -- cape canaveral and cocoa beach. officials have not linked the shipping accident to fish kills. in volusia county, the police chief will retire at the end of the month. he started out as an office in 1982. he became chief in 2010.
