life. as for endorsements for president, no word on his plans. but based on the ugly primary season, it seems like a safe bet he won't be throwing his support behind donald trump. despite the extra visitors, there haven't been too many serious trouble makers. >> reporter: this year the beach is much more crowded, and they're making more arrests, about 120 on the beach right now, and they expect to make more. before the drinking took hold today, about 20 beach safety officers and deputies gathered to strategize. >> we have a very large group of spring breakers here. a lot larger than we anticipated would be here. we think some of them are coming from panama city that weren't going there this year.

gunmen claiming allegiance to the islamic state opened fire, killing and wounding hundreds of people. and the alleged mass shooter is suing uber for $10 million. he claimed that his work caused him psychological damage, telling investigators the app took over his body. he killed six people and injured two others. he faces 16 criminal charges including six counts of murder. a man wasn't involved in an orlando shooting but his car matched the suspects, and officers say he tried to get away. eventually he crashed his vehicle and started running away away. police say that formerly innocent driver is paying for how he reacted to being in the wrong place. >> reporter: officers told him to stop but he didn't. and you

the tire marks are still out here. and for some reason instead of stopping, he took off in that direction. hopped over a fence and was caught hiding underneath a car. he crashed the car he was driving on the 408 on-ramp thursday morning. an officer was following him in an unmarked car without sirens. at the time police thought he was involved in an earlier shooting. he wasn't. but for some reason, he took a swift right-hand turn, crashed, got out and took off. police yell forward him to stop but he didn't. they later found him hiding under a car. he was arrested for resisting arrest without violence

in with orlando police, they have identified the shooting suspect but have not arrested him yet. the shooting happened earlier today, and the victim is expected to be okay . a judge denied a request to let the jury watch the 30-minute sex tape of hogan. wrestler is suing the media site for posting the video he knew nothing about . the greater orlando aviation authority signed off on the new south terminal project yesterday.

a city administrator collecting two pensions from the city. >> receiving about $10,000 a month from the pension fund. and darlene jones asked the mayor why the city allows something that even the state has banned. >> reporter: collecting what he's earned after more than 40 years with the city of apopka, with the fire department then as the city administrator.

the only former employee collecting two pensions. we asked the mayor how the city can afford to do it. >> pensions are obligations of the pension funds, not the city's budget. >> reporter: the city has three different pension funds. in theory, orlando police and employees could collect a second pension in. jacksonville and tampa, it's not allowed. in 2010, the state of florida stopped retired employees from earning that second pension. >> the state of florida doesn't allow its employees to do this. >> i think it's a one of a kind situation. and as apopka grows, i don't think we'll see this happen again. >> reporter: anderson is also

around 4:00, they had to bring in extra law enforcement because there are so many people on the coast. showers are mostly moving offshore right now. now what we're seeing is the sea breeze, which is here along the coast. this is an outflow boundary from the north. so we're kind of generating rain moving to the south . otherwise 2.5 inches of rain in central flagler county today. still some rain moving in across the gulf coast. this will weaken later on tonight. the front is still stuck to the north. it will finally push through as a cold front on sunday morning. late saturday, early sunday, our next best chance for rain across the i-4 corridor.
