still a tough decision to make when you hear this -- >> calm down. >> oh, come on. >> still, even with the screaming, the right thing to do is wait. >> it took approximately 15 minutes for emergency services to show up and begin extricating this guy. i believe the police made the right decision in this case, because in the end, the guy did not suffer any serious injuries. he did have fractures to his sternum and hipbone but is expected to make a full recovery. >> did they make the right decision in creating this chase jie mean, it's a kid with no license plate. so they -- then went into a high-speed chase through a for him. >> there's a decision-making matrix they may have to go through. >> argue, that's a kid, nerve her a license should, have gotten a license, should have put a plate on his bike and shouldn't have run from police. this situation.

you guy, looking at the latest piece of wearable technology. it is calmed the athena. this is created by the tech company called roar, and it is self-defense jewelry. what happens is, if a woman feels she's in danger, all she has to do is press that button right there and it sends texts to family that's already been pre-programmed and also sounds a very loud alarm. it said the reason they created this is because the stats for sexual assault are astonishing. one in four girls in college campuses report being sexually assaulted and this company wanted to do something about it and create something that wasn't as intimidating saying current tools are seen as intimidating and aggressive. created something about the size of a silver dollar. wear it around your neck, if want, clip it on to your clothing and use it by simply praes pressing a button. >> we designed a device easy to use and elegant to wear. >> does it transmit your location? >> it does, because you're going to need to know where people
10:52 am
are, because it's no help just to send a text message when you can't tell them. >> i don't feel like you know if you can set it to silent. the silent alarm might be more affective. >> you can set it to silent. cool about this, they are partners with non-profits and say a percentage of the profits from this will go to nonprofit groups that speak against violence. >> our goal is that one day devices like athena will no longer be necessary. >> it will cost you $99 to get this device. they expect it to be available in spring of 2016. now, this is part of an indiegogo campaign with the #helpusroar, but in three days alone they exceeded their goal of $40,000. >> this is a great piece of tech that does a job really well that we hope we don't need in the future. if you're a dude and you don't care about golf, this might change your mind. golf is now become a team sport
