overpasses and there's more back to the west that i'm keeping tabs on. right now this first batch of light freezing rain made its way northeast ward and pretty much dried up and here comes another round now that's going to be over keene by 7:15 over to say mildford in southern new hampshire just after 8:00. so you can see the temperatures right now in the lower 30s, anywhere you see the 31's and 32's we have a concern and i am watching the temperature already rising off the overnight lows. that's good lived event and don't want anyone to be caught off guard. boston close to 50? by 3:00 and comes along with a lot of heavy rain and how much could be falling. >> julie: sky fox closed because of lynnway at shooting at commercial and shepherd street and streetcars still on scene and let you know as soon as that reopens.

police chief says the armed robbery happened before 4:00 this morning, and a violent struggle ensued between the male suspect who had his hands in his pockets and claimed he was armed and the clerk. the chief says the clerk was not hurt. the suspect on the other hand started walking down the block on the lynnway here between commercial and shepherd streets which does remain closed at this hour and police responded to that scene. the chief says that when the 2 who again claim to be armed, started coming at the officers. then the chief says the officers tried to maintain distance, keep backing up and backing up but when the suspect refused and did not remove his hands from his pockets, the chief says 1 of the officers ended up discharging his firearm, shooting his gun, hitting that suspect. that suspect is now in surgery at mass general hospital. the 2 officers involved in the

they were taken to the hospital per protocol as is the case in officer involved shootings. now, at this point the police chief said he can not release any further information. directed us is not district attorney's office which will be the point for any new details that might be released in the coming hour. so again, that's the latest information from about 5 minutes ago. we will continue to work the scene here to get you more. for now live in lynn, michael henrich, >> sara: we are also following breaking news out of colombia right now where 5 people are in the hospital after rescue crews pulled them from the wreckage of deadly plane crash. and in the last 5 minutes cnn is reporting that a sixth survivor was found. the chartered plane was carrying 81 people, including members of brazilian soccer team. daniel miller joins us with selfies that were taken moments before the plane went down. >> daniel: incredible photos

efforts at the crash site have been suspended for now because of heavy rain in the area. it crashed in colombia. 72 passengers and 9 crew members were on board. now, here are the pictures we are talking about. we are getting into the newsroom. these 2 pictures tweeted out just before the plane took off from bolivia in route to colombia by alan. 1 picture he is with goal keeper and 1 picture he is sitting nex the daryl mail reporting they are among the survivors from the crash after being pulled live from the wreckage. this is first look at the video from the crash scene. it is very dark but you can tell it is a mountainous area. rescuers there using flashlight and head lands to try to fine survivors and also have video of ambulance arriving at the airport with 1 of the survivors inside. colombian news reports say at least 1 of the survivors of the soccer team was conscience and talking.

were expected to play in the copa suda merck cana tomorrow night and the group's president now headed to metayen. the plane reported electrical problems as it got closer to the airport and a lot of information is still developing at this hour and we will keep you updated here on air and fox25boston.com all morning as we learn more. in the newsroom, i'm daniel morning 1 person dead after a rollover crash in east boston and happened late last night at route 1 north just past logan airport. you can see the video that the car is rolled over. the road was closed several hours and police investigated and working to find out if any other cars were involved. we will update you on any developments throughout the morning. >> sara: a woman in her 90s is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by her neighbor's car. the accident happened on adams

police say driver, woman in 70s lost control of her car and hit the woman. the victim was flown to the hospital with serious head injuries. >> area that the driver was familiar with. we don't know why for some reason almost at the final destination the vehicle seemed to just acsegregate. >> sara: police say they believe a medical issue may have been to blame for the crash. it is still unclear if any charges will be filed. >> gene: 7:07. driver accused of hitting killing a driver in brockton turned himself in. no charges have been filed. car plows into the 22 if-year-old victim on north main street and kept going. sergio laconia died from his injuries early yesterday morning. friend told fox25 laconia recently moved to brockton from honduras where's wife and 3 young children still live. the driver's name has not yet been released. >> sara: police are investigating whether attack at

yesterday investigators spent hours searching the home of 18-year-old college student who attacked 11 people. they are also digging into the suspect's social media accounts. police say abdul razak ali artan drove a car into a crowd of people, then jumped out and started stabbing them with a butcher knife. nearby police officer shot and killed artan just 1 minute after he started attacking the people. investigators say they have found at least 1 anti-united states facebook post linked to artan. of someone who was self-radicalized. artan came to the u.s. as somalian refugee and later granted citizenship. the 11 people who were hurt are all expected to be okay and that is thanks to ohio state officer alan haruchgo. the university is hailing him a hero this morning. he was responding to nearby gas leak when the suspect's car jumped the curb. >> gene: today former

it is falling into the cold air and freezing up on cars, possibly overpasses, elevated surfaces always more of concern and lose heat so readily. so you doppler radar as get keene to near gardner, that's where the next batch of light rain has been moving through. we had 1 little batch earlier, didn't produce much but here comes another shot and that's where we are going to watch over the next hour possibly all the way over to nashua by 8:15 as just showed you moments ago and worcester county detected as rain on radar and see why, up to 33 now, brookfield still at 32. so just right on the edge here, leominster at 32, some of the very local temperature i'm able to show you, hollis, londonderry and medway, salisbury, reading, not too concerned that any steadier rain will arrive before those temperatures rise above freezing, already up to 40 in boston off of the morning low.

freezing earlier, up to 37 now, what's going on and we have a warm front turning the winds around out of the southeast and that's going to be helping to bring those numbers up despite clouds and rain on the way. so let's track the temperatures are the rain. here is 10 in the morning, best chance to have the wet weather is going to be up north and west of the 495 corridor. then as we get to midday, some of those showers punch through over to the coast, nothing particularly heavy just yet and into the evening drive see a lot of yellose and oranges on the map and potential for very heavy rain and most prevalent very heavy rain south of the pike today, possibly an inch of rain. look at the temperatures. despite the rain we are running in the upper 40s and the lower 50s as you step out the door to head home later today. but you're going to need the umbrella, going to need the rain gear for sure. midnight tonight, most of the rain is shutting down and still have some for the cape and islands. so travel the next couple of days, not looking good this

that a sixth person had survived but now we have learned 1 of the original people pulled from the wreckage has died at the hospital. that person is the goalie for brazilian soccer team that was on board the plane. that means 76 of the 81 people on that plane are now dead. it is too early to know exactly what caused the crash but investigators in colombia say they are looking at either an electrical problem or that the plane ran out of fuel. there was bad weather in the area and plane had land. >> gene: 2-year-old girl's death investigated as homicide and another child called 911. autopsy was done yesterday. revealed that madison dana died from blunt trauma injuries. no 1 has been charged. police are still investigating. >> gene: lawrence mother out of jail released by a judge but charged with child endangerment. 36-year-old mandy mcgowan
