the officer was killed in harvey as he sat in his police vehicle. he wanted cook's gun. his accomplice plead guilty to acting as a look out. his cooperation will get him a reduced sentence f convicted he will face life in prison because the victim is a police officer. it is a second fire to tear through lockport in two years. it took 100 firefighters an hour and a half to contain the fire but not before it turned through the businesses. including a bowling alley and photographfy studio. it happened away from the hotel where the families protect out a person was killed in that fire. no word on the cause of the fire. two more men planning to announce the candidacys for the mayor. rahm emanuel expected to announce later this week. he visited the little village as he plans to announce saturday at the school on the north side. and tanny davis to make an announcement on sunday morning.
