investigation. police released this sketch created with the help of a handful of witnesses. police are looking for a white mail with a thin build, the driver was wearing a goatee has short brown or black hair. his vehicle a newer model truck. >> the truck is also described as an over the road semitractor with asleeper on it, newer, more aerodynamic. >> all of this an effort to bring closure to the case. choice taylor's own mother appearing almost to comfort others wants leniency for the person responsible. on bent knee, she drives for the driver to come forward. >> it's about having some closure. whoever this person is they're going to need to heal. >> reporter: now, the funeral for choice taylor is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. tomorrow right here at the family's church. the investigation into his death

fire left the carnival ship dead in the water, 44 miles from shore, early monday. these chicagoans among a group vacationing together aboard the ship left without the air conditioning, hot water and cooked food, the ship was towed into port in san diego yesterday. >> we just laughed with each other, you know, prayed with each other. and we did the best we could do. >> god was good to us, that's the main thing. and we survived. >> reporter: in fact they returned in surprisingly good spirits. while the adventures at sea sounds pretty awful, they say it could have been worse. >> they kept our spirits up. everything they could do, they did. >> reporter: and of course they are getting a refund including airfare along with a free cruise.

burglars storm a home and steel a box containing the ashes of a deceased woman. >> i question god as to why he took my wife at first, now this comes up right behind me. it's just been a bad year all around.

>> reporter: they broke into christopher washington's home yesterday afternoon. breaking a kitchen window first and then prying the locks off the back door to gain entry. they left with a television set, some jewelry and an 8-pound box containing the ashes of washington's late wife. she died this year of bone cancer at age 40. he and his 11 year old son were planning to do something special with his wife's ashes. he had the box stored on a shelf for safekeeping. washington says he feels violated. >> i was angry but i'm sad also. she just died six months ago. leaving me to raise our

11-year-old son alone. and now we had plans on taking her ashes somewhere and -- somewhere nice and i can't do that now. >> reporter: police say the theft of someone's remains is odd. certainly not an every day occurrence. >> tensions were high this week at st. charles north high school, students wore up saying straight pride and a biblical passage on the beth. that passage caused some anxiety and offended many students. the students were allowed to continue wearing the shirts but were told to black out the bible passage on the back. >> try and teach them that while there were two sides to an

issue, you can hold on to you're side of the issue but you also have to be respectable of the people who hold the opposite opinion. >> now, the offended students started a facebook group to protest the handling of that incident. u.s. supreme court today refusing to end the military don't ask don't tell policy is. high court rejected a petition to end that policy. legal battle continues at key senators are set to decide how to proceed soon. the obama administration had urged the supreme court to delay getting involved. a woman says she was pressured to leave her job because she married another woman. she married her partner in june.

since last saturday. the front that waved south will come back north as a warm front and go through here briefly. tomorrow is kind of a crazy day with temperatures warming from the cool start to the low 60s early afternoon, then you get a burst of rain, maybe some thunderstorms in spots. by evening we could be crashing from the mid 40s to 30s. on sunday we'll be up to the north. highs today stayed cool by the lake. but wheat field in indiana went up to the 70s today. there's a plot of temperatures, those 70s earlier today are a distant memory. rains have been coming down in

salina kansas, and nebraska has been wet, too. a big storm with six tossen inches of snow. look at the rains that have come in, over it inches of rain. we've got a full blown late autumn storm developing tonight and there's a warm front right here that will come back north. we'll transition into the cold air that's wrapping into the back side of the storm. here's where these little showers are tonight, some of them dot part of our area. you see the brighter colors. the main body of rain at the moment is out west and that's what will be shifting in here tomorrow. toward noon time and during the afternoon, couple of these little spotty things will develop from time to time during

the night. and already the big snow band is starting to develop as this thing has cold air on its back side. it will be the biggest snow for the mid-west so far this season. here's how we start the day tomorrow. see these showers? we think a line is going to start developing right there ahead of the dry wedge, that's where the cold air starts to occur. and this thing will hit us about noon tomorrow. according to our models. there are multiple models in on that. then it rains again maybe 3, 4:00, we go into a brief dry period but the temperatures will be plunging as winds will have shifted. the biggest total rainfall will be out to the west of us, we actually could use a little more rain. it's been the dryest period in over half a century.

there are winter stamp warnings in effect over five states and those are fast and freeze advisories. here it is. this is essentially the demarch case -- demarcation line. you'll certainly know by the end of the weekend that we've transitioned into a different air mass than the one we were in all this week. well, tonight partly cloudy and cooler, because of those northeast winds. and yet still above normal for this time of year, way above normal. low temperature 46, that's only 3 degrees below the normal high this time of year. it's just the beginning of a cool off that will temporarily be interrupted by a warm passage that pumps us up to the low or mid 60s for a time early afternoon tomorrow. then temperatures stamp falling.
