since last saturday. the front that waved south will come back north as a warm front and go through here briefly. tomorrow is kind of a crazy day with temperatures warming from the cool start to the low 60s early afternoon, then you get a burst of rain, maybe some thunderstorms in spots. by evening we could be crashing from the mid 40s to 30s. on sunday we'll be up to the north. highs today stayed cool by the lake. but wheat field in indiana went up to the 70s today. there's a plot of temperatures, those 70s earlier today are a distant memory. rains have been coming down in

salina kansas, and nebraska has been wet, too. a big storm with six tossen inches of snow. look at the rains that have come in, over it inches of rain. we've got a full blown late autumn storm developing tonight and there's a warm front right here that will come back north. we'll transition into the cold air that's wrapping into the back side of the storm. here's where these little showers are tonight, some of them dot part of our area. you see the brighter colors. the main body of rain at the moment is out west and that's what will be shifting in here tomorrow. toward noon time and during the afternoon, couple of these little spotty things will develop from time to time during

the night. and already the big snow band is starting to develop as this thing has cold air on its back side. it will be the biggest snow for the mid-west so far this season. here's how we start the day tomorrow. see these showers? we think a line is going to start developing right there ahead of the dry wedge, that's where the cold air starts to occur. and this thing will hit us about noon tomorrow. according to our models. there are multiple models in on that. then it rains again maybe 3, 4:00, we go into a brief dry period but the temperatures will be plunging as winds will have shifted. the biggest total rainfall will be out to the west of us, we actually could use a little more rain. it's been the dryest period in over half a century.

there are winter stamp warnings in effect over five states and those are fast and freeze advisories. here it is. this is essentially the demarch case -- demarcation line. you'll certainly know by the end of the weekend that we've transitioned into a different air mass than the one we were in all this week. well, tonight partly cloudy and cooler, because of those northeast winds. and yet still above normal for this time of year, way above normal. low temperature 46, that's only 3 degrees below the normal high this time of year. it's just the beginning of a cool off that will temporarily be interrupted by a warm passage that pumps us up to the low or mid 60s for a time early afternoon tomorrow. then temperatures stamp falling.
