7:31 pm
we could start that off as an ice pellet-freezing rain mix. particularly away from the lake. we had about a 34-degree drop here in chicago. readings are coming back in response to this second storm but then diving back behind it is new cold air. and we expect that to rush into this area on thursday. we're not going to get a lot of warming as a result of that. 29 is our temperature here but # in duluth and windchills in the low teens out to the west of us. look at the lows in this air mass to give an idea of how this cold air has expanded. we've been pointing to this. see how it has expanded south as the days continued shortening and the snow cover has grown. winds north at 3 now. humidity 54%. here's our rpm model forecast of snowfall.
