the news a lot in recent years about one situation in philadelphia is getting a bit more attention since the priest at the center of the case is not accused of abuse. monsignor william lynn is charged with covering up the abuses of other priests. lynn was in the archdiocese to investigate allegations against priests and now he's charged with top child endangerment because prosecutors say that he knew sexual abuse was taking place and brushed it under the rug. >> for the first time an american prosecution that we're holding accountable the person who did the abusing we believe was not negligent. >> the district attorney is urging any church sex abuse victim to contact his office leaving the archdiocese completely out of it.

tonight it is chilly temperatures generally around 34 degrees but we had a high temperature today of 36 degrees. all those clouds tend to hold their temperature down a bit, look at that temperature in st. louis, 74 degrees. out to the west of the jurors are only in the single digits. these are the temperatures across the region tonight as you can see just about everybody reporting 34 degrees for current temperatures winds coming off of lake michigan tonight at about 20 mi. per hour and that is producing a wind chill value in the upper 20s in some areas. you can still see some storms forming out in iowa these will be moving through the chicago area later on tonight but with time cold air from the system is going to filter into the rain fall and that will produce snow

about midmorning tomorrow. visibility is much improved from earlier today when we saw visibility sharply lower during some of the rain storms, but as you can see it's mostly under 5 mi.. this is our computer model forecast. it should be a fairly clear day on tuesday but there is another system that we're watching that will be gathering some strength and may be bringing chicago more snow about thursday night and friday and some indications suggest about several inches of snow. our computer is spending about 1.1 in. of snow for the chicago area for tomorrow waukegan to get a little more they're showing 3.2 in. here's our forecasts now for tonight, it is going to be dreary evening for chicago. let it rain and low temperatures winds coming at the
