was very well known very well liked about the neighborhood. detectives have been here all night trying to talk to witnesses and come up with a lead. so far they have not had much success finding the killer. police say 8:00 a.m. this morning and employees showed up for work at wabash food and liquors and discovered the body of 57 year-old edward known in the neighborhood as eddy. he was shot once in the back of the head. family members say he had worked as manager of the store for the past 25 years. throughout the evening detectives interviewed people in the neighborhood hoping to find leads. friends and family have been stopping by to write messages and leave flowers. >> the navvy hateful and his body. >> one of his brothers describes him as a generous man who used his own money to buy food and drinks for homeless. his brother worked long hours leaving for work every day until 6:00 a.m. and not coming home until 10:00 p.m. only taking saturday off.
